We had an enjoyable visit, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is nice, it is next to a busy road but the vibe is relaxed. The coffee was good but could be improved with a stronger flavour bean. The pastry here is the draw card, we had a few different examples all of which were tasty. The sandwich selection looks nice as well as the fresh baked bread selection. Would certainly recommend a visit.

Great bread rolls for lunch but they sell out too early and by 12:30 it can be difficult to get any. Would have thought increasing the availability would be good for business but apparently not.....

Right. This place USED to be amazing. The food is still great, but I don't know what's happening with the service. The staff are polite but need some very urgent and serious lessons in customer service and operating rhythm. I waited AGES for a toasted croissant - long after my family had finished their meals. Hot drinks came out at different intervals. Tables weren't cleared promptly (we ate our meal with 3 dirty cups in the corner of it). It's still my pick for taste, but I'll just buy take away cakes in future.

The food is so good here and cannot be faulted. The pastries are sublime as are the baguettes. However service is everything and the Indian woman in there is so rude!

Most affordable coffee! $3:70 small, $4:20 medium, $5 large. Everywhere else is more expensive. Nice coffee too. The Indian guy called Ishan is the best at coffee, Lewis is pretty amazing too. And the cleeeeeeanest bakery Or cafe I’ve seen in a very long time!!! Have always loved your cakes, pastries, doughnuts and croissants. The almond croissant is the best. The baguettes are always amazing, if you’re starving I would strongly recommend. My favourite bread is the onion, cheese and dill, and the herb and olive bread comes a close second. Not forgetting the ciabatta- we shared one nicely heated up with butter for a birthday. So good. Will recommend. Just a quick edit: people who like hot chocolate often prefer sweet chocolate powder to unsweetened. At least that’s me. Can I recommend that you have both and give your new one a fancy name? Just a suggestion.

Since Aux Fines Bouche in Brighton moved to QLD (Im still bitter about this) I have tried to find somewhere else to get some proper bread and pastries. I'm partial to Pain au Chocolat and they are very good from here, proper french style, not cheap Australian style. The bread and prepared baguettes are also excellent. Service is fine, polite if not overly friendly, I always get takeaway so can't comment on dine in service. All the pastries and bread we have tried from here have been excellent, and the coffee is also okay. It's still too far away for me to make it my regular but if I'm nearby I will always drop in, and it's still the closest (to Hallett Cove) proper patisserie I can find that is good enough.

They make the best sausage roll! And their pies are so yummy. Not too salty, just right! I also like their coffee and pastries. I wish they have more sitting but then even if I don't get to sit I can always grab a take away and sit somewhere else nearby (like library!) & enjoy my coffee with a pastry or two?! Very delicious!

Often buy their doughnuts at the market. Love all the things they sell there. It's never too early for a doughnut covered in sugar. Didn't go to their actual shop until recently and thought it was a bakers delight, but don't worry, it's not. It's actually a good bakery
