This used to be a regular catch up place for us but the coffee not the best (the non dairy anyway - they use So Good) and they never have any veggie or vegan options. Have started going to the Cafe next door or Pick A Pie instead and never looked back. This one has been left behind in the bakery stakes. Vibe is more 'outdated' than 'rustic charm'

Located by Glacier Rock in the lovely Inman Valley this place is attracting visitors like bees to pollen. Bright, friendly, cheerful. Great for light lunches, morning or afternoon tea and their famous Belgian type waffles. Access for people with walkers. Outside dining in garden. Be sure to book ahead most times.

It feels quite out dated as far as decor which makes it look a little dowdy. Nothing that a coat of paint and updated chairs and a few tablecloths wouldn't fix. Or tables, depending on budget. The main bakery area is great. It's roomy, clean and you can clearly see what's on offer. The tables and chairs outside the front of the bakery are also fantastic. Made from huge old sleeper's. The food is fresh and tastes great. I will always stop here if I need lunch or morning/afternoon tea to take somewhere and I'm up that way.

An amazing bakery. We used to take my Dad there when he was alive as it had wheelchair access & toilets 👍 We havnt been for a few months. Everything is fresh, every day, nothing left in the cabinet for days like some other bakeries! My husband & I were there yesterday, great value for money. My chicken & salad roll was enormous & cheap! Recently painted & "freshened up" to make it more clean & modern. Will be back soon 🤩

We love love love this Bakery. It was formally the old schoolhouse. They have 2 rooms with plenty of tables and chairs. They make wonderful coffee and the most amazing thickshakes. Their cakes are sooooooo fresh and incredibly yummy !! If you haven't been you must take a drive and go visit. The drive from the city is relaxing and Meadows is a gorgeous part of country South Australia. There's plenty of parking available. There were 3 beautiful girls working today, Ashleigh, Lizzie and Maddie who greeted us when we arrived with a smile. They were polite and respectful. It was busy this morning and they were working hard but were still friendly and kind. We stopped there on our way to Victor Harbour this morning and also on our way back home this afternoon. They remembered us and remembered our coffee selections and my thickshake which again was amazing. Even though it was close to closing time they were still obliging and very friendly which I thought was commendable. Good job Meadows Bakery for employing such lovely hard working staff. Thank you girls for looking after us twice today. Love your wonderfully fresh cakes and the great service you you gave us.

My husband and I had a very nice breakfast here a few days ago on our way to Victor Harbor. He said that this shop is one of his favourite bakery. I ordered a veggie pasty and it was great. I love it :)

Great service :D They accidentally gave my hotdog to someone else, and I saw it happen, but I felt too embarrassed to say anything and just stood there stupidly for 10 minutes. Old style country bakery on main street through meadows. Unique double sided fire place inside, outside seats. All bread products made and baked on premises. Pies pasties and sandwiches and rolls, cakes doughnuts all available here. Nice coffee too

Great spot. It was a wet day but nice and cosie inside. Tasty sausage rolls and lots of cake choices. Good cappuccino. Some bread and muffins in packs to take home.

Mixed review for this bakery. Some products good...pasties for example are great. Takeaway espresso coffee was OK, but have had coffee and sandwich dine-in and wasn't impressed with either. Recent service has improved with current staff being helpful and friendly.

Service was lovely. Breakfast was plentiful but fried eggs tasteless. Poached eggs with the bacon would be much nicer. Please put real butter on the toast. The toast was dry without any butter, and had an over cooked fried egg on it which was like eating cardboard on cardboard. Tea and coffee was delicicious.bacon was yummy. We will try again and hope for a better break experience.

Hit and miss with this place. The food is good, but don't stop by if you're short on time because you often have to wait quite a while for simple orders like chips (if you're not altogether forgotten about, like I was and ended up waiting 45 minutes for chips and gravy). With all of the feedback about running out of pies, you would think they would do something about it - but all the time we've been going there, if you don't get your pie before noon, you're likely to be out of luck. Donuts are great.

This bakery is very popular for very obvious reasons: great food, excellent coffee, plus inside and pleasant outdoor sitting areas. The shop is open until 5pm on the weekends and you can still purchase lovely home made rolls even on the weekend. A favourite stopping place.

A lovely Hills town bakery. For the locals- yes! For city dwellers- yes, but you need a drive in the country to fully appreciate it. A great stop on the way to Victor Harbour. It has toilets and an area to walk your dogs for a break.

Tried and loved the honey logs, choc ecclairs, apple danish, pumpkin & fetta pasty, veg pasty, meat pie & the special Guiness pie which was one of my favs. Don't mind a oy coffee from here either or a made up sandwich. Loved how I was able to phone a few weeks ahead to preorder some kids party pasties for our kidlets Birthday. Sadly though and surprisingly their snag roll is not mine or husbands favourite, the taste is good but the texture sometimes is a bit off with what seems to be processed onions. But overall a 9/10 for us. It's worth a stop with a great little picnic area to the left hand side of the building.

Food is good and tasty and very cheap in price and is located in a very reachable spot on the main rd , plenty of parking also lots of bikes and motorcycles stop here for a rest and a coffee, nice blends of coffee which is not to bad served in a mug also is the most economical way to drink. I found also is very busy most of the time especially at lunch i had to wait awhile to be served i think this is due to staff wasting time in this place😶 only cause staff members are goofy and not fussed about servicing customers or offering to help each other and seems like no one multi tasks everybody got set jobs and they stick to it badly run business , also building is in bad state and needs repairs asap😎 place is falling to peices other then that it'd be nice maybe put some money back and fix the place up 😆and trained staff better.

They had sold out of most pastry food when we came for lunch but were cooking more so we waited. Food was OK but not HOT. We sat in the enclosed side dining area but there were a ridiculous amount of flies.
