LISA made me the best homemade sandwich! After a long drive, with a smile on her dial she MADE MY DAY by making a personal sandwich which made me feel like I was 10 sitting at my Nana’s house x I would drive 500 miles for another sandwich and a smile from ROCKY! Loved everything about this place

Oh my the bakery goods are amazing. Some amazing pies (try the v8) and the sausage roll was bangin’... also recommend the donuts! Definitely have to stop and playground striaght across the road so have a feed and a coffee then let the weans have a play on the train. Everyhting seemed good value prices too, so can’t recommend highly enough for a stop on the way to the bend

Fresh, clean and delicious. Had their award winning sausage rolls (3rd place award) and fresh sandwich. Staff friendly. Closes 1pm on Saturdays. Good location, off the highway. Plenty of spots to sit inside, or relax outside in nearby park and grassed areas.

Great country bakery. Really friendly staff and good coffee. A good range of country bakery style food. You can eat in or get something and head across to the train playground across the road. This is the sort of country bakery I remember visiting as a child. Thanks i'll happily stop for a visit when I'm in Tailem Bend again.

Bought a coffee and a caramel coffee doughnut and seriously can't believe how fantastic the doughnut tasted!!! Highly recommended!

We bought a few bakery items. Just as well that we ate out the front of the bakery as the vanilla slice they sold me, I had to take back. The icing was hard and a piece broke off and the bottom pastry was wet and just fell apart as I picked it up. The woman apologised and replaced it with another item, but it shouldn't have been sold in the first place. Their award winning sausage rolls were great though.

An unexpected pleasure when we opted to do the local bakery rather than the normal roadhouse stop at Tailem. The bakery was modern, attractive, clean and quite large with big windows looking out over a large and well manicured playground area. The service was particularly friendly and the pasties delicious! Finger bun incredibly light and fresh. Coffee was good. We will be back.

Stopped here on our way to Grampians from Adelaide. Was really delicious! No toilets unfortunately but there are outdoor toilets across the road, and also a lovely green lawn to sit on. We got an apple bun and vanilla slice. They were good, nothing special, just your average, delicious sweets. My partner got a cauliflower and cheese pie, and that however, was incredibly delicious! I asked for a bite and I had to ask him for a few more because it was one of the best pies I've ever had! Unfortunately, this WOULD be 5 stars, but I have to give 4 as we were met with average customer service. The lady who took our order clearly didn't want to be there, and hated her job. I also ordered a cheese and spinach roll but they didnt have any ready. Understandable as it was only 11am.

We usually stop here on our way from Adelaide to Melbourne as we did today. Always served with a friendly smile. Always busy and service is efficient, you don’t have to wait long. Food is very fresh and tasty, salad rolls are so fresh. They have a good range of sweet stuff and coffees are good too. Well worth the little detour off the highway to go to this bakery. You can sit in or take away and go and sit on the grass area the other side of the road. They are an award winning bakery.

Exceptional sweets and savouries. We tried the award winning chocolate donut and were not disappointed. The pies are among the best anywhere. Flaky pastry and high quality fillings make it hard to eat just one. We recommend the potato pie with pieces of bacon on top of the buttery potato top. This bakery is popular so favourites may sell out. There is seating available inside.

This place needs a sign that says “WORLDS BIGGEST DONUTS!” They’re HUGE and so tasty!! The customer service was amazing, the lady who served us was so lovely, it’s a country town so don’t expect fast paced city service but for a bakery on the road it’s the perfect break from a road trip, I really loved this place and I’m glad we found it!

Definitely worth the detour off the highway for a pie/pastie/sausage roll. It was unusually busy at 1030am Monday morning and they had run out of a few items (more being cooked) however there were party pies etc in oven (front of store) not available for public as it was an order, we feel these should not have been on display as some customers were a bit agitated about this, otherwise it's a rippa of a place 👍👍👍

Pretty nice bakery except for the woman wiping the bench near our table to obviously listen to our conversation as my friend was having personal relationship problems. What can I say? One of the best bakeries within 100km. Stop for a coffee and a cake while the kids play inn the playground across the road. Probably my favourite bakery. Well priced, and very consistent with quality. Whether you're a tradie on the way to a job, or taking a rest stop on a family trip, the Tailem Bend bakery is well worth the detour off the highway.
