Comments of Christian Jacques Bakery

On arrival before 8 am in the morning, there was a queue of about 10 people waiting to be served - usually a good sign. I can say this place certainly lives up to its almost 5 star reputation on reviews.
The croissants themselves are perfectly aerated and crispy, with deliciously buttery - no dryness at all.
There are multiple savoury and sweet options to choose from.
The sweet options I personally enjoy are the Nutella and Custard. The sweetness level is perfect, and should be an acceptable level to those who don't have the biggest sweet tooth.
In terms of savoury, I would highly recommend the Goat Cheese and Bacon option, the flavours balance out really well. There is a Three Cheeses option available but that is a little on the strong side if you're not such a fan of rich cheesiness.
Prices are reasonable, especially for the size, ranging from $6-$8 for the croissant options.
Definitely one of the best croissant locations in Brisbane, and dare I say much much better than a certain very hyped opening in the past few months.

Do yourself a favour, go n line up...50m long. This place is legit the best in Brisbane. Every weekend searching for a real French bakery.
Sunny coast is La Petit souris is by far the best. I used to love King St bakery, but Christian Jacques omg.
Your range is amazing n 100% flavourful, prefect crunch n flake with soft center.
R. C.
Seriously, the best croissants ever! Arrived around 9:45am on Sunday and there's already a small line, by the time I got in and ordered the line had doubled in size. The almond croissant and regular croissants were my favourite. I thought Lune croissants were good but Christian Jacques is even better in my opinion. 5/5 stars. Will definitely return.

The best bakery in Brisbane. Give it a try and don't lie😉 it's simply the best.
This is the Danish that you've been dreaming of. Or, this the Danish that will teach you how to understand and appreciate the state of the art (for bakeries).
Look at it... closely. The pastry: a bit crunchy outside, never dry nor wet👌🏻. The custard🤲 is just right. Not too sweet, not too heavy, and not just as thin as Vegemite on a toast.☝🏻
The apricots... they could be from a can, but you wouldn't understand it cause everything is just super good. Chapeau Robespierre! You've done 👌🏻...
I meant Christian J.

Stumble upon this amazing little French Patisserie on our walk this morning. Walking into the shop feels like I’ve been transported to France with the greetings at the counter. Decadent flaky pastries at an affordable price. Definitely the best in Brisbane & worth the long queue.
A. S. K.
So many different croissants!
Unique! Never had these kinds of croissants. Friendly staffs.
Good quality. Hope they have more tables and chairs with coffee.
F.
So far, the best bakery in Brisbane. Don't be turned off by the line, it's worth standing in the queue. We had some almost croissants, a raisins scroll and a cinnamon brioch. And everything was perfect. No chance of dining in, but the river bank is near by. All in all, we highly recommend this place.
L. W.
Feel blessed to live in a city that has this shop. Best croissants I’ve ever tasted and the service is wonderful! Always such a treat and very well priced. Don’t waste your time at Lune 😂
D. H.
Best bread and croissants in Brisbane. You'll have to queue up (even when COVID restrictions end) but it's worth it. Also a good place to practice your French before your next trip to a Paris boulangerie.
C. B.
Without doubt, the BEST French bakery I’ve been to (and I’ve been to France several times). My French relatives agree! And French friends from the Gold Coast drive up especially. So fortunate to have this in Brisbane. Literally everything they create is fantastic. Whilst eating freshly baked is best, I do stock up on their croissants and freeze them for later. I pop them in a cold start oven, turn the heat to 180 C, set the timer for 15 mins. Still amazing! The sourdough batard is a favourite too. Prep yourself with a local takeaway coffee for standing in Sat and Sun morning line which is even busy at 6am! Use the time to brush on your French. They are well staffed, so the line moves pretty quickly. Grab some goodies and head to Captain Burke park for table overlooking the city. Enjoy!

Christian Jacques Bakery serves some amazing croissants! What stands out the most is their unique combinations. I'm a fan of savoury croissants, and it was great to see so many options here. The three cheeses, ham and cheese, bacon and goat's cheese were all so flavoursome. Loved the pain au chocolate, baguette and the salted caramel éclair too. The éclair looked too pretty not to try, and I'm so glad that we did!
One will definitely be tempted to try everything here as it's all displayed so beautifully in the cabinets. The service is also walm and welcoming. I also love how the bakery is takeaway only, and that they don't feel tempted to sell coffee or other beverages. Overall, this is an amazing bakery and I'll definitely return for more.
N. L.
Life is short, don't spend it standing in a queue for pastries baked in a "wood -fired" oven and following sheep.
Visit this secret/not so secret bakery in Kangaroo Point and have a taste of France at Christian Jacques.
Serviced by a team still with their French accents, they are friendly and warm.
The pastries are amazing! I especially love their Danishes. Plenty of other baked treats like eclairs and breads also available.
Get down to CJ Bakery before they get too famous and you have to queue around the block. Pronto!
M. A.
I arrive at there around 10am on Sunday morning. There are long queues😱 We waited around half an hour. We got some croissant and danish. Croissant were absolutely delicious🤤❤️❤️🥐🥐🥐 but apricot danish I ordered was not so special.
E. &. E.
Amazing French patisserie, with so many freshly baked goods. We arrived at 9am on a weekday, and even then a lot of the products were almost sold out. If coming on the weekend, definitely come early and be prepared to wait.
My favourite was the Nutella croissant, the middle seemed quite hollow however and wish there was more filling- but still very delicious. I also really enjoyed the lemon meringue eclair- The filling was so sweet and gooey! The raspberry danish was quite average however, and too much filling for the pastry that it was hard to hold.
Sadly there is no seating here, unless you find a spot outside on the bus bench- which was annoying. The nearby cafes also don’t allow you to bring other external food in (we tried!!). Best option is to take it to a local park and enjoy by the water!
Would definitely love to come back and try more here!
R. L. (.
We heard so much of how great this bakery is and finally found time to try it out ourselves.
Now we understand why “EVERYONE” (literally) praised how good this little shop is. Probably the best French pastries in Brisbane (Not kidding). This is my new happy place now.
We arrived around 10:30am and can see some of the shelf are empty! (How popular they are💕). I only get the croissants and danish. They both are crisp and light. Will definitely come back for the bread/eclair next time.
Staff was also very friendly and patient (took me a bit time to decide what to get. Indecisive when you just want them all😂).
The only downside is it’s only for takeaway and no seating (which is also EASY fix if you just head to the park and lots of seats there).
B. Z.
If you've been dissappointed by Lune, this place will restore your hope in classic French patisserie bakeries in Brisbane!!!
The owner is not only talented but also provides an amazing customer experience. Easily the best pastries in Brissy (surpassing my favourite Bannetons and Stone Artisan).
We tried the Custard Crossaint, Honey Bacon and Goat Cheese Crossaint, Blue Berry Danish and the Millefeuille (flaky puff pastry layered with custard/vanilla like creme)
They were honestly all unbelievably delicious and well worth the brief wait in line. You can get coffee from one of the surround cafes and make a date of it down at the park just a short walk away!
M. B.
Please never leave Brisbane. You're my go to for the perfect weekend treat. Your Danish is my favourite and highly accomplished bakeries can not perfect what you do here. You have created the perfect art, which all of brisbane want, hence the long line.
Your Danish is filled with a custard, a generous portion of fruit --the choices are blueberry, raspberry and apricot. These two, combined with the pastry make a perfect Danish. 🥰
G. R.
A few people recommended I try here. I arrived just before 6am and the moment they opened the door the delicious smell of fresh pastries takes you to another level! The product quality is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced when it comes to baked goods. Lovely staff.
M. B.
Super tasty, worth the wait. Grab your goodies, then walk down to the park under the Story Bridge to enjoy
j. h.
This place is THE place for French baked goods, the quality is phenomenal!!
There's good reason for the very long lines on weekends.
A particular favourite is the very special almond croissants, best I've ever had anywhere in the world including Paris and Marseilles!! - you'll be hooked with one bite.
The patrons here are very friendly regardless of how busy it is.
Don't let the Storey Bridge refurbishment outside deter you, it's worth the effort believe me!.
Great place, great friendly service and the absolute best in ,well, the world.
Se magnifique!!
G. O.
One of the best French Patisserie in Brisbane. The pastries are always on point, buttery, flaky, fresh produce, crusty bread shall I go on. Affordable and the staff are always smiling and accommodating. If you go after 12noon you will miss out on the best goods as it is a very popular place. They don’t sell coffee, which would be a welcomed extra - but well worth the visit.
A. S.
The best croissants 🥐 in Brisbane, feel like in France.
K. L.
Really fluffy croissants, well worth the visit. Short lines when I went at opening time.
S. M.
This place just glows, I dont know how. Something to do with the beautiful fitout, the divine aroma, the kind staff. The pastries are perfection, I rate the bacon, goat cheese and honey croissant among my favourites. Brisbane is so lucky to have this patisserie.
K. T.
Absolutely worth the wait! Decadent, flakey pastries, I've been thinking of the pain au Chocolat all week!
d. c.
Wow wow wow. Amazing baguette and the custard croissant OM goodness THE BOMB. The best pastries I’ve ever had couldn’t stop saying mmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmm mmmmmmm can’t wait to eat the bacon goats cheese and honey glazed croissant and the berry tart blessings Christian Jacques
C. D.
An amazing bakery, it's worth the wait if there is a line and every penny that you spend there. So yummy.
A. A.
So glad to know this place from friends. Luv their croissants. Bakery only, no seatings. Need to line up to get the croissants, but worth the wait.
A.
Ooohhh lala!! Oui Oui I will visit again!! Super yummy french patisserie treats & the staff all speak french so adds to the atmosphere. Super friendly too!! Thank you!
A. M.
Been there twice and I have to say, it is like being back in France when I was a kid!! Love it, love their croissants! Definitely will be back more often.
V. “.
French bakery only, no tables to sit down. Pastries, sweet and savoury bakes. They are so good that they get sold out very quickly so make sure you get there early. Not much parking on the street but not far from the ferry. Delicious almond croissant with almond cream inside. Delicious pear tart as well to perfection 👌
P. P.
The best croissant I’ve have in a long long time. The owner is so nice. I’ll be back soon!
S. S.
It is a bit tucked away, but freshly baked pastry and reasonable price is worth the search (walk). They were not the most flavourful croissants I have had, but I enjoyed how they were not overly greasy. Would like to try other items on the menu next time I am in the area.
Y. W.
Stuff was very friendly, croissant bread can taste fresh make. Everything was fantastic.
K.
Loving all the pastries here. Fresh and delicious and reasonable price too.
R. D.
Great bakery is Brisbane. Authentic french style! Owner is very kind! Never had a bad experience and everything we've tried has been consistently delicious!
D. B.
Best almond croissant in Brisbane 🥐 Amazing little French patisserie serving delicious pastry!
J. P.
Best Croissant in Brisbane, see 'Almond Croissant'
Looking for a bad review for this bakery? doubt you'll find any, nor does anybody that actually came here and bought something
W. W.
Picked up some goodies for breakfast to enjoy at the nearby Captain Burke Park. Our order:
* almond croissant, $5.60
* sausage roll, $6
* lemon tart, $8
* custard kouign amann, $6
The almond croissant was good, but was wifey's pick so she had the bulk of it. I chose the sausage roll, didn't end up liking it too much but the son did so he had most of it. Just as well cos he chose the tart and we were dubious but he insisted so relented (felt a bit conscious about holding up the line), and in the end didn't like the lemon bit and only wanted to eat the shell!
I added the kouign amann as I'd been curious about them from seeing all the pics from Agnes. This one here was a pretty different shape though. I enjoyed it but being my first one I don't have any baseline for comparison.
M. S.
One of the best.. A must try for all d products everything has been perfected here.
G. L.
I had the plain croissants, definitely worth trying!
E. L.
Amazing danish and croissant! Will definitely come back and try other pastries!
S. W.
This place is a masterclass in the boulangerie arena and absolutely deserves 5 stars.
Simply put - their products are expertly done and are just amazing. I get emotional when I get into their custard croissants.
L. L.
Absolutely delicious . Pastries and bread were all amazing
m. d.
Great crossiants, clean and friendly staff. A little hidden gem underneath storybridge. Well worth the trip, always places a smile on our faces
Yum 😋

Amazing danish and croissant! Will definitely come back and try other pastries!

Oh my what a lovely bakery with a range of delicious sweet treats! Definitely come early if you want there to be lots of choice to select from, as they sell out quickly. 10/10, would eat again! Highly recommended! Don't forget to say "Bonjour!" upon entry :-)
T. S.
The best place in Brisbane for croissants and pastries! Absolutely amazing.
G. G.
The best bakery in Brisbane. Authentic French quality. The queue speaks for itself. Worth waiting for sure. Love you guys!
W.
Taste the baguette, croissants, pastries and be instantly transported to France 😍
There is often a queue here but it moves quickly and everyone seems to be happily anticipating the reward that awaits them.
R. D.
Small but a wonderful range of breads, savoury treats and sweet delights. The quiche Lorraine was delish and the custard almond croissant was the best I've ever had.
S. W.
Sunday morning queue was about 20 deep (but fast moving) and for good reason - simply the best authentic French based delights to be found!
N. S.
Best French bakery in Brisbane in my opinion! And that's coming from a French guy :) Croissants, breads, Danishes, everything is top quality and freshly baked.
m.
Just as good as any pastry you would find on the European mainland. Lots of choice here too, though no coffee no. Highly recommended.
T. P. T.
As a French pastry chef I d say that those are the best croissants/pain au chocolat that I ve tried while in Australia. To be honest even in France they would be amongst the best you could get. Thanks to them for their hardwork and their passion for good food.
V. D.
One of the best French bakeries in Brisbane. Highly recommended.
H.
My friend told me about Christian Jacques bakery. Definitely agree with her recommendations Top croissants, love it, flew me back to Lyon!!!!
N. E.
The Croissants are just define, my favourite is Ham, Goat Cheese and honey. Plain and almond are also great, Crips on the out side and soft on the inside. There is also a small selection of bread, sausage rolls and quiche.
G. L.
I had the plain croissants, definitely worth trying!
A. M.
This is the best delicious French bakery in Brisbane at the moment. There is nothing more that could be added to it.
Now, a couple of years later, they are still the best. Plus they've added a few new flavours into the pastries range.
R.
An incredible, authentic french pattiserie tucked under the bridge at Kangaroo Point.
Don’t waste your time with the other overhyped, overpriced, lacklustre croissanterie - Christian Jacques is to die for!
L. T.
Best French bakery in Brisbane by far. There is a reason this place always has queues. Get in nice and early and get yourself something nice.
J. C.
Best croissants in Brisbane; the pastries and bread are also excellent. No longer craving for Melbourne's Lune Croissanterie.
G. H.
Real french croissants and pastries. Always fresh.
They have adapted the pastries to local taste.
A must stop by in Kangaroo Point
R. W.
They do the best croissants in Brisbane, hands down. We’ve tried numerous places all over town, and nothing else compares. Good variety with lots of different fillings. There’s usually a line up at the door, but it’s worth the wait. Best to get there before 8am on the weekend.
B. W.
Easily the best bakery in Brisbane. Croissants set the standard for others so high that it's unfair.
P. P.
Our favourite French bakery in Brisbane. Fantastic croissants, pastries and bread. Also try the sausage rolls, another favourite of mine.
M. S.
One of the best.. A must try for all d products everything has been perfected here.
N. B.
Expect a line, freshest, lightest croissants. Classic choices like pain au raisin or apricot danish are my go-to here.
M. H. V.
I live next to lune, which have some nice croissants... But these Cristian Jacques croissants are easily the best I've had in Australia...
J. L.
Best croissant in Brissie. Very affordable and great authentic service
B. L.
The best in Brisbane! You need these pastries in your life! Lovely staff.
x. S.
Delectable fresh pastries sold by lovely people. We visited for the second time this morning, as we enjoyed the things we bought last time so much (bacon, goats cheese & honey croissant, sausage roll, & custard croissant). Sadly, we missed the custard croissants but we managed to buy a custard KA instead. Actually, there was a slight mix-up in our order today but when we came back to fix it up, the staff were really apologetic & kind about it & we left feeling joyous once more & completely alleviated of the awkwardness we anticipated around having to go back 😌 So grateful for this experience & I'm sure this place will become a regular treat for us, even though we live over the bridge. Thank you!
E. W.
Another awesome french patisserie in Brisbane. Must try. Good croissant. Take away only.
L. M.
Sunday tradition for me and my French husband. Affordable and comparable to traditional pastries in France.
M. S.
Some of the best quality pastry in Brisbane. Well worth a try and not that expensive as you might expect. Recommend the Nutella croissant and the fruit danishes
B. M.
Best French Bakery in Australia.
Delicious as always, friendly service as always.
R. K.
It took me to France atmosphere, Greetings with Smile, Best Croissants, and Danish pie. Amazing Baquets.
J.
Best bakery I’ve been too, well worth lining up for!
M. M.
This is some of the best pastry in Brisbane. Every little flake is crisp or soft as it should be. I can't express my utter love for the croissants from Christian Jaques. I have tried most of the croissants across Brisbane and there are only a couple that come close. Really. That. Good.
B. L.
Best baguette I've had in Brisbane and one of the best croissant around too (try Chu bakery in Perth if you're out that way). I've been getting baguette for the last 3wks and still not sick of it yet!
The lady that's always serving me at the cashier is polite and nice too (and yes she's got a French accent!). Once she accidentally tipped the lemon meringue I ordered in the box and insisted to replace it even when I said its OK. The French here are definitely not snobs!
D. K.
Tucked underneath a pylon of the Story Bridge and opposite the iconic Story Bridge Hotel, this tiny bakery punches well above its weight. The croissants and pastries are made with French butter and are super flaky and the bread is chewy and delicious. This is a little taste of France in Kangaroo Point.
J. S.
THE BEST.
T. B.
Lovely spot near the bridge.
Croissants were delicious definitely be back to try more.
S. F.
The best croissants in Brisbane, our weekly treat ❤
s. m.
You can’t beat Christian !
He has the best croissant, French style because he knows and he doesn’t fake !
P. L.
Undoubtedly brilliant, worth the q. Tried the baguette, 5/5, Danish 5/5, and croissant is iterally as good as any I've tried and I've been to France a couple of times
This is expertise in french bakery
P. W.
Without doubt one of the highlights of my stay in Brisbane.
Amazing fresh baked food, a must for any morning start
M. S.
A great range of pastries to indulge in, many I've not seen elsewhere in Brisbane.
L. C.
Went in today for the first time and bought a blueberry turnover and tart. OMG it was so good. I took a bite of the turnover and almost cried. Recommend.
L. L.
Absolutely delicious . Pastries and bread were all amazing
E. H.
You can smell this place from the end of the street! Friendly service & the by far the best croissants in Brisbane. Nutella ones are warm & freshly baked when you go in the morning. My only complaint would be the veg quiche I ordered wasn’t really warm like they said it would be. But it was so tasty cold anyway that it didn’t even matter.
L. S.
Best croissants in Brisbane by a long way!
T. T.
A real French patisserie! Everything looks so good that it is difficult to make your choice. You can tell it requires a lot of work and savoir faire when you see the quality of those patisserie. The best patisserie so far in Australia! Delicious 😋 lovely vego quiche. Great, fast, friendly service. recommend
E. R.
Amazing bakery! Best croissants we’ve had in Brisbane by far
D. G.
Even if I am Italian, I missed pastry. This is the best I have had in years 😍
C. C.
Since going here I've been able to sleep through the night. I've been waking up with my mouth watering dreaming of the delicious croissants and treats. Do yourself a favour and buy more than you think you'll need...
Pro Tip: wake up early, line up (it moves quickly) and get yourself a treat straight from the oven!
S. N.
Very popular, line was around two corners. Croissants were very nice.
J. L.
Best croissant I've had since I don't even remember when. Can understand why there is a line to get in about 50m long 😅 Maybe they need to open up a second location ❤️
R. “. R.
Ooo la la..c'est três bonne!
Excellent customer service quality place and outstanding artisan magnificent tasty to die for bread! About time to have something like this is Brisbane! Congrats!
D. M.
Good olain croissants. Very buttery. The others are a bit overpriced.
S. E.
The quiche was too wet. The other sweet treats we got were delicious. The line gets long often. The Nutella croissant was ahhhmazing. We would go back.
S. C.
Some of the best french baked goodies in Brisbane. I took a real french man and it still checked out. I recommend the bacon, goats cheese and honey croissant! I will be back soon.
T. P.
Honestly the best croissants and pastries in Brisbane
S. H.
Always fresh yummy French pastries and bread's.
Busy little place with very friendly staff
S. S.
Ham and Cheese croissant was overwhelming impressive, it had the right amount of Crunch. The Ham was hidden inside the pastry making it an extra treat.
Custard Croissant was deeelicious, a generous amount of custard in a crunchy croissant.
We had the Apricot and Raspberry Danish, this was a delight.
Tried the Almond croissant, I have had better but it still rates up there for an Almond Croissant in Brisbane.
And I was a great pleasure to be served by a French speaking person, this made the whole experience.
Highly recommended trying and coming back to the “Golden Layers”
j. s.
Just go there , its amazing. The best croissant I've eaten so far.
And everything else is amazing too. I wish I lived in the same street , I would be there every day.
S. M.
Amazing bakery, never disappoints. Classic French products and so divine
B. A.
The. Best. Croissants. In. Brisbane. Personal favourite is the almond one. Not too sweet but just right. Sunday takeaway breakfast. French owners and so sweet in their French accents. Merci.
D. L. D.
Fantastic croissants and other treats in this small shop
M. H.
How good is it?
Happy to wait in a massive line, for too long, kind of good...
But seriously, awesome good old fashioned service and tasty croissants 🥐.
S. D.
A fantastic little French Bakery tucked up under the Story Bridge on Baildon Street Kangaroo Point.
Christian Jacques Artisan Boulanger.
R. K.
Fantasic croissants! The outside is flaky and crisp, the inside is 'meaty' and not just air and best of all not greasy! I like the plain the best so far but there are a lot to try! The savoury pastries are also delicious the egg custard in the quiche is soft and silky and the sausage mix is so moreish. Will be going back!!
J. H.
Best French patisserie in Brisbane, need I say more? You will not be disappointed. Christian and Virginie put their sweat and soul into their business.
T. R.
A huge range of savoury croissants and other baked goods. We have been a few times and have never been disappointed.
B. J.
Always a treat. THE BEST french patisseries I've had outside of France.
I visit for breakfast most Sundays and the lineup out the door every weekend is a key indicator for how good Christian's croissants are!
R. o.
The custard croissants are so good. Want to go back and try it all. Looks so delicious 🤤
s.
Disappointed to find the croissants overrated; took uber from Sofitel where we were staying to look for these pastries on the strength of the reviews. We had three different croissants, pain aux raisins & the Breton cake pastry - the croissants were definitely not flaky enough and rather doughy & the pain aux raisins were the best of the rather sorry bunch. Perhaps we hit the place on the chef's off day??
N. O.
Great family run bakery and they're so friendly! Try the Nutella croissant!
T. J.
It's the real deal, once you've tasted their selection, shortlist your favorites if you can, and you will come back again and again. Make sure you also come pass on week-end when they have additional pastries to die for.
M. M.
I discovered this french bakery and I have been very surprised by the taste and the quality of their products! I recommend this bakery if you want some delicious croissants and breads :)
M. B.
Such amazing food, great staff thank you!
D. C.
I have put the owners kids through college with the amount of money I've put through this bakery.
S. C.
Beautiful buttery croissants, which have a sensationally crisp flakey pastry, so much so that when you take the first bite memories of France come flooding back. The popularity of this bakery, with lines out of the door, despite the small shop front speaks for itself in saying this is a place you should stop and try!
R. C.
Fantastic, authentic French pastries. Highly recommended.
S. M.
So good one of the best patisserie places in Brisbane.
Pain Au chocolat is my go to here, the pastry layers as close to Paris as I have tasted in Australia.
The Kouign Amann was amazing and I look forward to trying a few more of their other croissant varieties.
Only wish they did coffee also as options in the area are limited and I'm sure they would do this well if they offered coffee in the future.
K. G.
I have worked extensively with bakeries in France and I can say this is as legitimate of a French bakery as you are going to find anywhere. Absolutely top quality pâtisseries!
R. H.
Amazing service
Scrumptious baked goods
Melt in your mouth delicious
Very friendly staff
B. k.
One of the best fresh French croissants in Brisbane! Simple bakery with friendly staff. Sells out by noon, so get in early
D. F.
I've only been in on Saturdays, my experience is: be prepared to line up! But as I told someone walking by this morning, it is definitely worth the wait.
F. C.
Absolute heaven! Can't even think about the almond and nutella croissants and the raspberry Danish without drooling. Magnificent daily fresh products we can delight at this small hidden gem!
M. C.
Even god. descents to earth because there is no. sweeter fruit. in heaven.
C. C.
This has to be the best pastry spot in Australia. And I have had my share of pastry here and abroad. Seriously it's spectacular. The Ka's are a special treat as are the pain au chocolate, and the Nutella croissant. Haven't tried the bread yet but if it's half as good as the croissants it's going to be great.
R. M.
These are hands down the freshest croissants in Brisbane. Get in early because theres a line every morning. Thats how you know its good!
J. C.
Two words - Custard Croissant :D
A. S.
10/10 would come here again, reasonable price & close to the river where you can sit near the river and enjoy some pastries 🤤 Recommed: Almond Custard Crossiant

The most delectable croissant I’ve ever eaten in my life 😍
@christian_jacques_pastries is tucked away under the story bridge in kangaroo point and serves up authentic French pastry’s 💫
Pictured is the goats cheese, bacon and honey croissant 🥐
The pastry was perfectly flaky and buttery and it had plenty of filling 🌟
I am already itching to go back and try something sweet 🌞
Simply DELICIOUS 🌾🌸

Our friends, who live in Kangaroo Point, said we're going for pastries.. Well what a treat! It's the best for croissants, never mind all the other nibbles there. Can't wait to return!
S. G.
In town is the best place if you want croissants. Owner are French, so they know how to make proper food. A bit expensive for my opinion but the staff is nice and always smiling.
D. V.
The Best French Pattieserie in Brisbane.

Delicious, fresh pastries, croissants and quiches, if a bit on the pricier side. Bought a number of things for a work breakfast and was very disappointed to find one missing when I opened everything up. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.
J. G.
Amazing pastries and bread.
Lovely staff.
S. V.
Best croissants in Brisbane! Staff is very friendly and speaks to you in French! ❤️ try the butter croissant!
L. L.
Yummy croissants. I had just a plain so I could really judge it without any filling to deter me and having eaten croissants all over Europe I believe this was the best I have ever had . Flakey , buttery and delicious.
D. G.
Somehow better than the Baker's Duck?! These are croissants to die for.
J. T.
Their croissant is just out of the world, soft and buttery, just so very good. Glad we stumbled upon this place when we did
J. M.
It's my happy place. Best croissants since our trip to Paris💖💖
S. W.
Some of the if not the best croissants I've tasted. The ham and cheese croissant is just heaven. That said the very first time I went here I asked them if they make Kouign Amann, to which the French lady said "yes, but the dough was off/not right today, so come next week". Since then I've been here around 5 or 6 times and I always get given an excuse for them not having Kouign Amann. If they don't make it I'd appreciate the honesty of letting me know that they don't instead of petty excuses followed by "maybe next week". They have been featured in an article where they claimed they are one of the only Bakers in Australia that make Kouign Amann, which is the only reason I asked them about it in the first place. Would've been 5 stars but lost 2 stars due to the lack of honesty.

Omg. Best bakery in Brisbane

C. B.
Very popular on Mother's Day!
B. S.
Do not misunderstand he following. Please read it!!!
I asked for a receipt which was replied as that he was already in the bag ..
and when I opened the bag I never found it!!!
Never mind this comment is directed to Aussies and not to Frenchs who are used to silly jokes and don’t take it “first degree”.
I have a lot of respect with entrepreneurs who are trying to offer new ideas in a different environment...
The boulangerie Jacques offer can correspond to “ crispy bread from salty paste” in opposition to local taste of soft bread from sweet paste!!🙀😍
It may take 20 years to succeed but it is worth it!!!
Best
g. R.
Love their almond croissants, flaky goodness. The place smells amazing and good service.

J. S.
Absolutely awesome bakery, but very very dangerously addictive
M. S.
The food is always fresh and full of flavour. Worth getting there early so you can full choice of all the goodies they stock, as they do sell out
J. C.
