Comments of Kenilworth Bakery
F. W.
Only got as far as the Donut shop this time, absolutely impossible to go.in there and not purchase a couple ( well for us anyway).
This place has been on our list for years and we never miss the opportunity to indulge in some of their goodies on offer.
Made it out of there today with only a couple of donuts and sausage rolls.
Highly recommended
M. S.
Amazing food, incredible donuts & pies. A must visit place if you are in or passing through Kenilworth, you won’t be disappointed.
M. R.
Well worth a visit for the doughnuts!!
Get there early in the day. Must be well liked as they make a lot but sell out each day. Do the road trip...
J. P.
Terrific donuts, lovely coffee and the seating area in the back is very entertaining to spend some time in.Highly recommended!
D. S.
The bakery was delicious. We went there with a few mates and took part in their 1kg donut challenge, except multiple of them and as a team.
We enjoyed the food and the surrounding areas. Staff were friendly and there was plenty of delicious offerings to choose from.

Revisited today and was blown away by this business. Clearly it's what makes this town come alive. Amazing donuts. Well worth the drive. Check out my full review on the Google Review Queen website.

Loved the doughnuts. So nicely displayed and yummy to. $30 box great value worth the drive especially through such wonderful countryside. Friendly and welcoming staff. Nice rustic country seating area to enjoy eating them reading all the doughnut challenge plates on the wall.
C. C.
Decent donuts. The lineup for 15 minutes probably justified but they are rather heavy and not fluffy like a tradition donut. More like a bread roll with sugar and icing but still taste good. $30 for 6 is the going rate on the small ones. We were going to do the 1kg donut but it looked like a loaf of Vienna filled with cream. Give it a crack if in the area.
R. M.
Delicious food and a great experience. Line-up of customers was long but the food was worth the wait.
T. W.
We visited The Bakery after lunch so there wasn't any lining up. We had a sausage roll , coffee and chips, very tasty. We also bought some Donuts and a 1kg donut for my son. He greeted said donut with "hello gorgeous!"
N. C.
Do you like donuts? It doesn't matter what your answer is, this bakery has delicious creations that you should try! Worth the drive from Brisbane
M. B.
Usually a line as its rep precedes it but the wait is worth it. Cool artwork around the bakery also

Kenilworth is a fabulous little country town. The people are great. The bakery and donuts are fantastic. The Cheese Factory is also well worth the visit. We have been travelling through Kenilworth fir over 20 years and because we had time to kill decided to stop, we are very thankful that we did. Will definitely be back.
A. K.
It is the second time I came to this place and I can confidently increase the stars from 4 to 5. I highly recommend this place to others. If you are in sunshine area, do not miss it.
Sometimes there are a long queue in front of this shop which is a good sign.
I tried the mix of peanut butter and Nutella and it was unbelievable.
I will definitely go back and try some other doughnuts.
C. S.
Very popular country bakery, and was very busy the morning we swung by. There are 2 sections - donuts and savouries & both are excellent. There's an undercover dining area out the back.
K. P.
Nothing special, pies are below average and donuts are just average donuts. I suppose the novelty of a 1kg donut is what attracts the customers. If they had a better variety of bakery goods (pastries, slices etc) it may be worth another trip, otherwise I wouldn't waste my time again.
Staff were lovely and helpful, shop was clean and had a great outdoor seating area with great murals.
B. G.
Super busy but definitely worth the trip and the wait. Donuts are not really my thing, but these were incredible, fresh, heaps of variety and absolutely delicious. Personally, I liked the creme brulee flavour. Pro tip, it's best to get there early to beat the crowds and make sure you get your choice in donuts, they sell out fast especially on weekends. I've read the owner's recent article around selling over 5000 donuts a day, so it would explain why it's a challenge to find a park and the line is out the door! Really good price if you buy in bulk and it is a nice day out for the family. One thing that makes it unique is the park across the road, which helps the kids burn off sugar after so many donuts. I didn't try the other pastries as the donuts and coffee were too good pass up. Picky with my coffee, so while it gets a 7/10, rest of he visit was a hard 10/10 and would highly recommend it to anyone keen on amazing donuts.
A.
We 'detoured' to the bakery on our way to Australia Zoo. It was crazy busy, but as we pre-planned the trip, we ordered ahead.
Going on a Saturday the line was massive, but the staff did a good job of getting through everyone really quickly.
The dogs loved their doggy donuts, they were gone in less than 2 minutes.
The pies were a bit expensive for what they were and probably on par with the Old Fernvale Bakery, which is down the road from us. The staff were a lot nicer than the Old Fernvale bakery though. So I didn't drop any stars and their sweets are way better.
C. V.
This business is split into two parts - a donut and coffee cafe side and the other consists of savoury and pastry foods.
I had a great experience even for a busy Sunday, the queue moved quickly. The donuts themselves were delicious especially my coffee in a donut 😋🍩.
There are plenty of Covid safe dining tables for customers down the centre lane at the back of the bakery to enjoy your food. Kenilworth bakery is definitely worth a stop by if you're ever in the area or just passing through town.

The Kenilworth Bakery is best known for their donuts including 1kg cream donut and coffee in a donut. We visited on a weekday at mid morning and they had plenty of donuts left however have heard they’re very popular on the weekend and sell out. The range was pretty overwhelming and difficult to make a choice without walking past the glass a few times. Love that they have multiple vegan and gluten free options!
It’s a doughy donut, quite chewy not too airy which we like! The cream from the espresso donut was very generous and extended well into the body of the donut. I expect sweeter flavours would be difficult to finish. Our coffees were good, nice and strong but the oat milk used wasn’t quite right for foaming. If it’s savoury goods you’re after, you’ll find them next door. Loved the street graffiti.
K. “. H.
Omg...Yum! So many flavours to choose from. Get there early as they are often sold out before mid day over the weekend. The 1Kg donut stays fresh for days if stored correctly and taste amazing. Well worth the drive!
D. S.
Great bakery!! Make sure to treat yourself to their coffee filled doughnut!
M. N.
Sunday drive took us to Kenilworth today. Decided to have a stroll around town and noticed the queue leading into the bakery .. so inside we went. A veritable doughnut smorgasbord. We bought 6 and sat outside (seating at the rear of the building) to consume our purchases. Only managed to eat one each .. soooo filling! The doughnuts were fantastic … coffee a little average .. overall experience was great though.
A. S.
Best doughnuts we've ever had! Great selection of vegan doughnuts aswell with 5 choices. The savoury side could have a few more vegan options, all that was available was the veggie roll.
N. A.
Amazing donuts, super friendly staff, worth the drive would go again.
All the donuts look and taste great, found it hard to find a favourite
The 6 for $30 deal is very reasonable
C. C.
Was very busy over the holidays .The staff kept the customers moving through very well. We bought a range of pies and donuts including the 1kg sausage roll and 1kg Jam and cream donut. All were very tasty and priced well.
D. S.
The doughnuts are heavenly! Great service and lots of choice of flavours. Everything we selected was delicious. Highly recommend!
R. E.
Done 1kg Sausage roll challenge, was yummy. But they didn't written my name on the plate😔.
S. A.
Fabulous! Salted Caramel & Macadamia doughnuts 🍩 and yummy coffee ☕ with stunning artworks for ambience 🥰
o.
Nice spot to visit. They have both Sweet and Savoury shops next to each other (Donuts n Cinnamon Buns in one, Pies n Pizzas n stuff in the other), reasonably priced, easy peasy drive from Montville thru Mapleton to Kenilworth for morning tea!!
The jam donuts are proper raspberry jam (no seeds), packed full! (The donuts look like ball donuts, but are fat ring donuts).
The glazed ones trump Krispy Kremes !!
Been there 3 times in the last month.
Do it, you won't regret it!
Y. G.
Omg what can I say, but TRULY BLOODY AMAZING. The variety of donuts/long donuts are too many to choose from. The savoury selection is fantastic as well.
M. E.
Pretty popular donut place.
There are two stores, one which sells savouries & another which sells sweet donuts. Lines are pretty insane (during holidays) so if you are after the 1KG donut, make sure you call and order over the phone.
We were lucky enough to purhcase one without ordering.
Great variety. Young crew serving, service was ok.
Loved the fact that they had VEGAN options, huge WIN!
S. S.
Fantastic Donut and Delicious Pies. Awesome! Strawberry Cheese donut is my favorite! Perfect 👌.
S. H.
Words cannot describe how amazing this bakery is!
Just don't think about it and drive now 😍
We are on holiday currently and we are defiantly stopping on the way back for more yummy treatz both sweet and savoury 😍 very much worth it!!!
P. M.
Now the store is split into savoury and doughnuts you have best of both world. Staff friendly, there is always a line for the doughnuts, however worth the effort. Dinning area out the back. I did the doughnuts challenge, next will he the sausage roll challenge. Always worth the drive. While Exploring the region fuel stop.
K. C.
The best coffee and even better donuts even got some treats for the dog's
K. P.
Jam Lamington Donut Mmmmmmmm and love the Jam Donut sorry I ate that one.
C. S.
Finally understand what all the hype is about. We managed to get there around 9:30 on a Saturday and just beat the rush! The selection was almost overwhelming! Donuts are delicious.
S. B.
Donuts were incredibly delicious! The staff were super friendly and helpful, and gave great advice and recommendations. Coffee is nice, and value for money, especially in the donut! This place DEFINITELY lives up to its renowned reputation.
D. P.
Great place and friendly staff. Their donuts are absolutely wonderful!
L. L.
Every bit as good as we expected. The selection of Donuts is amazing and as for the coffee inside the donut. Well that is pretty fantastic!
A. O.
Semi-regularly make the drive up from Brisbane to get a Donut from Kenilworth Bakery. We always plan to get there early to ensure we get a full selection of donuts to choose from. I got the Custard Tart today and couldn’t recommend it more! Great little pull-in off the freeway for a quality coffee and donut!
L. M.
Awesome place, don't be deterred if there is a line, quite busy a lot of the time but they pump through the orders and line moves quite fast.
Big selection of gourmet doughnuts so be prepared to 'buy one for later'. 😉
L. A.
Fantastic flavour filled pies. Donut's are very nice but a little too big/over the top for me. Delicious to share with a coffee! Need to have signs on the pies/pastries so we know what is available flavour/type wise. Lovely staff.
E. N.
Quick and easy service. The staff were nice and friendly. The doughnuts were delicious.
H. H. (.
Definitely lives up to the hype. The donuts were amazing, the fresh cream jam donut is a classic that has been mastered by the team here. I don’t have any pics of the jam donut or the pink donut as we scoffed them down way too quickly. They’re THAT good. My dad got the coffee in a donut and said it was amazing. There was a huge line up but we got served quickly and the staff were lovely
B. C.
Not your average bakery!!!! So many delicious choices. Recently we drove to Kenilworth and I couldn’t resist the opportunity to stop for donuts. The place was super busy as we were leaving ...Plenty of parking and sitting space. Totally worth the stop if your in the area or great day trip with the family if your not local!
v.
Delicious affordable doughnuts, cannot go past any of the iced ones to eat on the moment and the jam ones are to die for after lightly heating them lightly at home.
E. R.
Absolutely amazing. Really wonderful staff, great food, and best coffee. Love it. Plus always pgoto op at rock star wall.
D. R. “. E.
Best donuts and finished the 1kg sausage roll ! Highly recommended
S. L.
First time visit to the bakery. Pies were excellent. Highly recommend. Nice seating area out the back.
D. W.
Friendly staff, fast timely service and beautiful vintage decor interior with a colourful old school pop outdoor dining area.
Coming from Brisbane, these are by far the best donuts I've had in a long time! The recipe they use for the donuts is great! When taking your first bite into their donuts you can tell it's not super doughy and full of preservatives.
The selection of donuts on their menu is colossal! My personal favourite was their caramilk and I definitely recommend it to anyone who is indecisive.
Came here on Monday public holiday and the place was packed with a huge line out the door.
There were COVID Safe practices in place, such as social distancing.
Thank you! I'll be back!
D. D.
Tried the 1kg doughnut and absolutely loved it! Couldn't believe that something that large could be made with such a delicate flavour: I expected it to be either too sweet or the exact opposite (a huge loaf of bread), but it was perfectly delicious! I ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 😅 Would recommend this experience to any doughnut lover.
L. N.
We came for the famous coffee doughnut. It was rich and delicious. There was a mind-boggling array of doughnuts on offer, I could not pick one there were so many flavours. I also bought a chicken mornay pie which had a lot of chicken in it, they definitely did not skimp. Friendly service and staff suggested places we could visit in the area. Would have been good to have seating so we could enjoy our food there instead of finding somewhere else to sit. We ended up at the park across the street which was pleasant as luckily we found a bench in the shade.
T. D.
Yum yum yum.
Huge donuts and wide range of savoury options.
My group got huge donuts and for a great price too. Staff were lovely to us even when we were overwhelmed by the huge donuts and asked many questions on what stuff was called. Was a great stop after just going to booloumba creek.
Honestly definitly reccomend.
M. J. (.
How good are these donuts. Just one each, very conservative as one could easily...indulge.
The donuts were awesome and the Chunky Beef pie also. That’s some great artwork outside too.

#1kgdonutchallenge ?!
WAAAAAAT?
I have founds about this place quite recently and I couldn’t wait too long until I pay them a visit and take the challenge! Yes, Kenilworth Country Bakery is the home of the 1Kg donut challenge and not just that!
It is Australia’s first Coffee in a donut!
Ooooh yeah, two favourite foods in one - coffee and donut! They literally have the cutest hand-crafted donuts with the best creativity that I have seen lately and… it gets better, they even have ice cream in a donut, guys! (Sold out on the day)
I would recommend booking before going in to avoid disappointment. And even that... can actually go wrong and to be honest this was kind of a disappointment.
Actually obviously the expectations for the place were huge and no matter how incredible the idea and famous they are the truth is that I tried to book the vegan 1kg donut for the last 2 week before going there. And noticed it was gone from the website and you couldn’t book it anymore.
I tried to send them a message online through Instagram and Facebook and nothing. I even tried to reach out to them and say that I wanted to feature them and would even want to discuss things in a professional way for work... and no one would say anything. Again, Itried to call and nothing again.
So, my friend booked in one of their 1kg donuts and there we go. We took a 49 minute detour from out from the highway to head there, from the GC towards SC, and then an extra 40 minutes to head back to the highway, and we both came to the conclusion that it wasn’t worth it at all.
The place wasn’t busy when we got there and we walked in, being surprised but the immense number of plates on the walls and filling out every single place possible on the walls. There were 2 staff members behind the counter at the front and further back there was another member making coffees.
We stared as obviously anyone would and we went to pick my friends order and then I kindly asked if they had the 1kg donut in a vegan version, in a little attempt to have my day made too, for which they said they would check with the cook.
While we waited I also asked if it was possible to have a coffee donut in a vegan version and the waitress was so indecisive and so uncertain that not only was she not able to tell if it had or not with certainty even after checking with some colleagues but she was quite rude even.
I got so uncomfortable that I just wanted to leave and wouldn’t want anything for them anymore and while I waited for my friend to pick up the 1kg one I went outside to wait. In the meanwhile another staff member saw what happened and offered to do a coffee on a donut in a vegan version, and my friend also chatted with the cook confirming that they didn’t have any 1kg vegan donut.
The whole situation was so uncomfortable for me to be honest and I really wish we could just not have gone there. My friend said the donut was good and my coffee in a donut was obviously ‘instagramable’, but still an average donut and with way too much peanut butter that becomes sickening (that is needed to create kind of a cover underneath for the coffee not to leak and leave the donut). It is a clear way of attracting costumers and I mean no harm to them by sharing my honest real experience, but I really wished we didn’t go because it just made things unnecessarily uncomfortable like I said. Plus the costumer service has a lot to improve and I think that’s also one of the main reasons why people visit places - if they want a good place, with so many options these days, being nice to people and providing good and a friendly sensible approach is valued.
Furthermore, a place that is so highly rated, should definitely have a better marketing and social presence as they would only benefit from it.
But hey, like I said, that was just my honest opinion and experience. I hope others would have had a better experience.
C. G.
Always a great trip. Amazing Donut selection and their pies are delicious.
M. W.
the pie was terrific the sausage rolls were a little oily. can't wait to go back and take down the kilo sausage roll
a. s.
The donuts are absolutely amazing. Would recommend to anyone heading out that way or even as a detour. We had the jam donut and the custard Nutella. So many choices and great seating area out the back!
S. B.
The donuts are on point and taste great!
The pies however, different story. Absolutely disgusting. Ingredients used have a similar taste / smell to dog food. It’s almost like this bakery has forgotten how to be a traditional bakery. Or it’s only to appeal to tourists for the donuts ?
M. H.
Amazing range of donuts. 1kg donut for $20 (pictured - is massive!!). Or 6 small donuts for $30. Donuts are fresh and delicious. Staff very helpful given the constant onslaught of customers.
T. M.
Omg they have the best pies and sausage rolls I have ever tasted if you are travelling through this town you must stop here at the bakery 😋
R. A.
Great service and great food. Definitely a place to stop at. Weekends can get very busy but it's worth the wait.
E. C.
Best donuts on the Sunshine Coast! Not joking! It’s a must to do if your a tourist. Tip from a local.
G.
Great destination in a busy country town. Not just donuts but lots of other lovely options. Go for a trip while staying on the sunshine coast.
C. C.
Amazing donuts. Get in early so you don't miss out. Tried the 1kg Nutella donut and it was the best donut I've ever had.
I. T.
Did not partake in the 1kg donut challenge (body is a temple and all that 😉). But the regular donuts are delicious!
B. C.
15 years since we visited Kenilworth and it was worth the drive to taste one of their donuts amongst other delicious treats.
In top 5 places to visit beating Byron Bay.
100 people lined up to get donuts. Stop and go guy on the door, doing country stuff right.
Lots of country charm and great scenic views from places like Bluff Creek camp area.
Well worth the visit and drive back through Mapelton, Maleny and Montville.
K. M.
Amazing doughnuts and brilliant service will definitely be back
K. A.
Friendly staff. Huge choice of donuts. We visited Monday morning so there was no wait. Creme caramel donut was fabulous. Cheese Cafe down the road is worth a look too.
S. S.
Doughnuts! The Doughnuts are incredible.
The pies were very good (light pastry, great filling, good size), but overshadowed by the Doughnuts. Their range of flavours are wonderful. We had a golden gaytime, nutella coco pops and pineapple.
Busy location, short wait but well worth it
A. M.
Definitely worth the trip and the wait in line. As others have said, the line moves quick and it’s a great idea that you wait to pick up any orders that will take a bit longer at the side door/exit. I had wanted to try the coffee in a donut for ages because, who wouldn’t?! My two favourite things in one! A suggestion would be to have a menu on the windows for people to have a look at while waiting, especially for the hot food like pies and sausage rolls as it’s a bit frantic when you’re ordering and they can easily be missed.
The donuts were so fresh and delicious! Highly recommend and would definitely make the trip out again!
R. C.
Had the big Sausage roll. Fed family of 5 easily.
Kids loved it
M. M.
Pie was delicious and the donuts were tasty
J. F.
Well worth the drive from brisbane. Very tasty range of sweet treats with a smaller range of pies and other bakery foods. This place gets crazy busy on weekends so get in early.
A. R.
Awesome donuts and pastries. It's been a tradition to stop at Kenilworth and take away a box of donuts and pies.
K. K.
Great little bakery, we tried the coffee in the doghnut good, great prices follow covid practice. They also have some street art in the ally . They also have a 1 kg doughnut challenge
A. R.
My wife and I took a look scenic detour to Kenilworth bakery prior to our trip away up the sunshine coast. We made the trip out based on a large social media endorsement for the famous baked goods. The doughnuts were delicious and a variety of flavours made selection difficult. The savoury pies were not quite to the standard of the doughnuts but still enjoyable. The staff were incredibly friendly, would certainly return if we were in the area.
S. P.
Delicious donuts and ok coffee.
Go there for the donuts and you won't be disappointed!
There was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly and there were plenty of donuts to cater for everyone, even on a busy Easter weekend.
E. P.
Not bad nice place to visit and dine i found it alittle expensive for pies and would go back in a hurry . But if your a enthusiast and love the pies go try them.
J. E.
Top place for doughnuts! They also sell regular Bakery food but is VERY difficult to walk past the creative and delicious doughnuts plus a milkshake or iced drink to wash it down.
M. N.
Heard about the hype and wasn't disappointed..the doughnuts were insane..great value 6 doughnuts for $30 considering the the Belgium doughnut was $8.50. Nutella filled w a Tim Tam on top was fam favourite as well as a coco pop sprinkled one. Only downside was the quickly moving line out the front..so get there early..enjoy..gotta try the pies next door..next time..too full..lol
N. E.
Great coffee served inside a doughnut, really good sausage roll, but the pie was a bit of a let down, way too sloppy for my taste. Get there in the morning as they seem to sell out a lot. Staff were very nice as well.
D. R.
They make some great donuts and are bloody popular.
It was nice to grab a few donuts and sit in the park with the family.
While they are famous for donuts and they dominated the store they also had some savoury options such as pies and pizza breads.
If you are in the area well worth a visit.
D. C.
Donuts were a bit doughy but variety was good. Plenty of out door seating. But wouldn't go back in a hurry.
D. N.
Kenilworth Bakery has (huge) different makes of doughnuts you could imagine and coffee in one store and next store is your savoury food. Creme Broulee on the right and Custard and Nutella on the left. They also have family size Doughnuts
A. E.
Amazing place. Great that they have a vegan range of doughnuts. There is one vegan pie, different to what you would expect in a normal pie, but still really tasty.
S. F.
The best donuts you will ever have , so worth the drive , we just made it before closing time , they even asked us of we wanted coffee before the turned off the machine for the day and we received the best customer service well done!
L. R.
Awesome quality doughnuts.
Can't wait to go back and do the challenge!
A. M.
Ordered the 1kg donut with custard and jam/cream filling. The donut was delicious & coffee was great too! So glad we have tried the Kenilworth bakery.
S. G.
My girlfriend and I love coming to this Bakery! We only live 40 minutes away on the coast but it is definitely worth a visit here. On weekends it can be very busy as it is extremely popular! We visited on a weekday morning and we got the whole place to ourselves. No lines and heaps of time to choose from there treats! The chunky meat pies were very nice however the pastry top came away at the first bite causing the contents to spill out straight away. The treats were delicious and fresh. 2 drinks, 2 pies and 3 treats (one to take home) came to nearly $40. Will be back here soon!!
H. D.
A Donut Dream - when fat kids die and go to heaven... this is it. Excellent rage of donuts. $30 for 6. Annnnd you can even get your Coffee in a Nutella Donut which is a must do. Great day out in the area with lots to see and explore. Worth a visit on its own or as part of a day trip.
R. S.
Besttttt sweets! Coffee donut, 1kg donut, bee sting... It's all amazing. Super friendly service. Always get in early before they sell out and before it gets too busy! Well worth the wait if there's a line though. Reasonably priced, and well worth the drive if you aren't local to the area.
E. D.
Quite chilled for a saturday lunchtime.
Staff were very nice and friendly.
Not much variety to choose from but that's our fault for leaving it that late to visit.
Worth a visit if you have not already been.
M. O.
Very busy place but for right reasons. Massive range of donuts: vegan, sourdough, so many different fillings, and other savory and sweet items. Very creative flavours and serving of their drinks if you want to. Funky challenge of 1kg donut comes next!
W. W.
AMAZING 🤗🤗 Great bakery with their unreal 1kg donut challenge! This and they are always coming up with new, quirky and delicious treats. Well worth the drive out here to sample some of their deliciousness.
S. B.
Amazing little bakery in the sunshine coast hinterlands. The doughnuts are next level amazing, and quite large. The one pictured is a vegan peanut butter and jam. They also have a 1kg doughnut challenge where you can try and eat a 1kg doughnut 👍😂 I think next time I might attempt it
P. I.
The BEST beesting we've ever had. The massive queue says it all really. My wife is in a wheelchair and rather than let us stop/start up a hill in the queue, they let us jump ahead. You guys are awesome!
Cannot recommend Kenilworth Country Bakery highly enough
J. R.
Well known for it's delicious large decorated donuts. You'll pay $6.50 but well worth it. No seating but park across the road. Brilliant rock n roll paintings outside worth a look. Savoury section separate building next door for those who can resist the sweet donuts. Yum.
B. S.
Worth it.
The drive is beautiful.
The town is great.
I dont eat sweets ok...i do.....i have a real problem actually....
No...i eat meat.
Savoury...
Pastry...
The pies are magnificent. They really are. They look standard. But the fillings are thick.....meaty....any vegetables included...are VISIBLE....and u can TASTE them.
The pastry is excellent...soft...and the perfect amount of flake.
If u think the sausage roll looks standard....its perfect....
And if ur standing there looking worried cause all u can see are sugary cream buns......its next door.....
Oh...and then....after all that....u get to go for another drive!!!!!
Unless its back to ur set up and off to sleep after dirtbiking....
I only post when its good.
This is good.
This is worth it
A. C.
Have had a breakfast surfboard, a smoko break chicken mornay pie, and spinach n mushroom pie that I never thought I'd try!
They are all good. Fresh ingredients. Tasty and healthy!!
L. B.
We loved this place! Was absolutely delicious and the customer service is great. Theres plenty of room to sit up the back and enjoy the food. My big sting donut was absolutely beautiful!
G. D.
Best donut I have ever had. This place is a 'coppers wet dream'. And the staff are fantastic.
E. I.
Great donuts and high quality coffee
D. G.
When you drive 50 minutes to buy doughnuts you know they must be good! They had about 20 different flavours (maybe more, I didn't count), so it was hard to choose! They are reasonably priced and staff were friendly. Queues can be long, but moves fairly quickly. Holidays and certain times of day will mean longer queues, however I've never waited longer than 5 minutes.
E. X.
The coffee in donut is definitely a highlight (although a little too much chocolate sauce for me)! The donut itself is light and fluffy too, really liked it. The layout of the bakery inside is delightful and very smart, you get to walk pass all the donuts and can’t resist to buy more! Met the owner who is very passionate and proud of his bakery.
B. W.
Fantastic bakery!
Got the HUGE sausage roll, for the first time in years i completely loved the filling.!
A+
M. K.
Hands down one of the great country bakeries of the great south-east. Grand selection of sweet and savoury. 👌
T. N.
Do yourself a favour and get these doughnuts! They were SO good! Staff were friendly too :)
My favourite doughnut is the "caramel golden gaytime".
You can get any 6 for $30.
g. k.
If you like donuts this is the place to go. The variety of donuts was awesome and they also have a 1kg donut 🍩
D. W.
The coffee was perfect, the donut was fluffy and yeasty, just the way I like it with nutella oozing out. There was an hour long cue due to Covid rules, however; most people do not understand the concept of social distancing.
S. S.
Doughnuts! The Doughnuts are incredible.
The pies were very good (light pastry, great filling, good size), but overshadowed by the Doughnuts. Their range of flavours are wonderful. We had a golden …
A. G.
Loved it. It was super busy but lines moved quickly. Only tried the savouries. Will have to try the sweets next trip.
B. C.
15 years since we visited Kenilworth and it was worth the drive to taste one of their donuts amongst other delicious treats.
In top 5 places to visit beating Byron Bay. …
I. F.
#1kgdonutchallenge ?!
WAAAAAAT? …
C. M.
Yumm...so good a really great little town to visit.
A. M.
Ordered the 1kg donut with custard and jam/cream filling. The donut was delicious & coffee was great too! So glad we have tried the Kenilworth bakery.
H. G.
Excellent service and a fantastic range of donuts.
T. D. M.
I really enjoyed my caramel doughnut 😍
It's also a lovely drive to Kenilworth from Maleny and Mapleton ☺️
L. M.
Really tasty! Despite the like going down the block it moved pretty fast. The food was fresh and on constant rotation. Worth the trip!
K. B.
Great pies and sausage rolls. The doughnuts are huge, decent priced and delicious
D. A.
Absolutely hands down the best Doughnuts you will ever taste. Situated in a small town a bit over an hour outside of Brisbane tucked away in the Sunshine Coast hinterlands. This place will blow you away. A large variety of tasty Doughnuts and a nice place to eat you sweet treat and have a coffee at the same time. For those a bit more adventurous have the Coffee in a doughnut. Or for a real challenge take on the mighty 1kg doughnut and take your place on the wall of fame. Either way a trip worth while even if you live far away
L. B.
Great donut selection, you can see the team making them fresh while lining up. There can often be a queue and they regularly sell out by midday.
Next door has pastries with some interesting flavours!
Coffee is good too!
J. B.
Lovely little bakery! The donuts were nice but i think need a little more filling! Also get in early if you want a specific flavour!
A. W.
Huge variety of flavours at a reasonable price. Great coffee!!! Gluten free donuts were a great great for a coeliac. Staff were super friendly
Y.
Wow just amazing donuts and bakery items. Coffee was excellent as well. Golden gaytime and Nutella with Coco pops was amongst our favourites. We were camping near by so went back 3 times. Definetley worth a stop.
L. I. (.
Hmmmm tasty... 1kg sausage roll! Try it!
J. A.
Doughnuts were yummy. Staff were too busy to actually speak to customers. Made it a bit off-putting.
B. J.
There was a line when we arrived but thankfully we were able to move quickly so we could get what we wanted. The doughnuts were 🤤 just amazing and baked to perfection.
V. S.
Great donuts, even do gluten free although this little bakery is super busy! Often a great big line up. Be prepared to wait in line, although it generally moves fairly quickly. Worth the drive. Kenilworth is such a cute town.
A. G.
Loved it. It was super busy but lines moved quickly. Only tried the savouries. Will have to try the sweets next trip.
A. L.
Awesome bakery. Good quality and freshly baked pastries. The service is quick and efficient.
P. O.
I love hospitality and variety of tasties and Kenilworth Bakery has both.
W. G.
Long wait 30 minutes in long line. Pie was delicious chunky beef. donuts a family treat bit expensive $30 for 6. Everyman and his dog were out. 1.5metres apart. Staff were friendly. Sanatiser at door. Great wall art.
T. D. M.
I really enjoyed my caramel doughnut 😍
It's also a lovely drive to Kenilworth from Maleny and Mapleton ☺️
J. S.
This place is awsome... a must do... awsome drive from Brisbane through Melaney, Kenilworth and out at Eumundi.. highly recomend stopping for great coffee and look at the size of this bad boy... highly recomended
E. P.
Beautiful surroundings and very nice shop but pies are so expensive and found them very tasty but prices put me off to return.
P. O.
Excellent bakery with amazing donuts 😋
D. M.
SENSATIONAL, donuts for miles staff are incredible and so welcoming, beautiful town and area
N. E.
Coffee in a donut you have to try and if you dare the 1kg jam cream donut. The donuts where soft and not to sweet. A little on the expensive side but where else can you donuts so good.
J. H.
Awesome coffee and pies and don'ts
Would go back just for the food . So fresh and tasty
C. R.
My favourite pitstop on the way home from camping in the Mary Valley. Get in early so you don't miss out on the goodies
D. J.
Friendly Staff, amazing fresh food, so many mouth watering donuts to choose from 🤤😁
T. &. K. O. A.
Gets packed, so get there early.
R. “.
Pie was pretty good, gravy had a bit of a funny Aftertaste but great pastry
L. M.
Really tasty! Despite the like going down the block it moved pretty fast. The food was fresh and on constant rotation. Worth the trip!
R. M.
Very busy, small shop. Bakery is on site. Meat pies are very yummy tasting, with a lovely pastry. No place to sit near shop but there is a park across the road.
K. M.
Excellent offering, lives up to its name. Not only are the sweets good (1kg donut) but the savoury goods next door are excellent too. Also a great idea to have the two split, as there can be a wait for the sweet foods.
M. W.
In a word Brilliant. My first call every morning whilst caravaning down this way. Mouth watering sweet apple glazed apple scrolls, large variety of sweetened donuts and pastries. What's better than a well made tasty meat pie and nice Capucino or flat white. Walk up the side of the bakery and a large area opens up with plenty of tables and seating to enjoy your fare in the shade, and take in the amazing mural painted by a local artist . Service is great with lots of very pleasant young ladies t
o serve you.
S.
Coffee good, donut good, 'breaky slider' thing good. No seating but you can cross the road and sit at a table at the park is nice. Latina service lady at front counter can get it
K. W.
Bakery food delish!!!!!! Donut cake available :) Park just down the road, playgrounds for kids, tables available, close by amenities, dogs allowed in park! Great family day out :)
D. V. Z.
Been there twice now! First time I had the doughnut with a hot chocolate shot 👌👌👌. This time had a beesting doughnut and flat white. Great coffee and 👏 for the doughnut.
D.
$7.5 for a pie that was hard and lacking in meat, simply not worth the money, I have had better frozen pies.
Cant judge the sweets tho.
D. W.
Great selection of donuts. All fresh and good coffee too.
R. D.
Just fantastic food. Fresh cooked and delicious. Very fast and friendly service even in a very busy time.
S. 8.
Went for donuts while camping at Charlee Morland. Great range of very nice donuts
Could go a little more sweet for the custard filling and the like, would make it 5⭐
A. D.
Great donuts heaps to choose from.. Also fresh salad roll & pirs looked nice.
L. P. R.
I'm not a sweets person but their doughnuts are incredible. I'm planning to go back
J. D.
The donuts are amazing! Great artwork outside. Like some of the other people though the staff seem to be a variation of upset and happy. I'll still go back, the donuts were really good :)
L. K.
Such a cool place in a beautiful little town. Loads of amazing donut options, staff are super friendly and the famous coffee-in-a-donut ($8) is absolutely worth it.
H. S.
Definitely worth the drive, just he sure to check they are open and be early ir else they may be sold out. There's now a separate savoury side shop from the sweet side which can only mean more room for more food! There's a few gluten-free and vegan options as well.
J. S.
The donuts were not for me, but the other Bakery items looked fine.
H. G.
Excellent service and a fantastic range of donuts.
D. J. L.
Always a must stop when in the area. Great donuts and now a new pastry/savoury section next door. You won’t believe the artwork hidden up the alley way.
B. C.
Donuts are more bread than light and fluffy and too much filling on the caramilk and lemon. Wouldn't hurry back for the donuts. The pies and sausage rolls were great and they had a nice variety of savouries available.
V. L.
A must try for the doughnuts and have great variety too.
A. &. I. K.
Great pies. 9/10 for steak and guiness pie. Almost as good as Dough Boys in Tekapo.
B.
On the more expensive side but the size makes up for it. Great donuts & bread.
M. M.
Great doughnuts, the best, be coming back with my mates for the 1kg challenge. Friendly staff too
L. “. W.
Love this place the best sausage rolls and pies and the 🍩 are just simply delicious took my kids there so many people in the local street eating and having a good time at the local park. Will say the line up was very long but your not left standing there very long as there are a good amount of staff. Will definitely be returning 😊
D. H.
Lovely place with great atmosphere. I had this Bee Sting. It was delicious. Made with fresh cream. They have such a great range it made it hard to decide
A. S.
Amazing donuts! Worth the line up for sure!
M. L.
Bloody loved the steak and pepper pie, it was great. The 6 for 30 donuts is a absolute ripper deal, and will keep you going for a long time!
C. V.
Wow!!! First visit today and definitely not the last one, hahaha. They are open just Thursday-Sunday, and they are super busy... But we'll worth it the drive up here ;)
E. “. E. V. D. S.
What can I say, "amazing!". Doughnut heaven... Highly recommended.
A.
Finally we got here after hearing so many reviews and it did not disappoint!! Sweet and savoury spread looked amazing - so difficult to choose.
The donuts are super soft and fluffy. Tried the jam donut - best I’ve ever had.
The chunky steak pie was amazing - large chunks of meat with bacon and onion pieces. Love the square shape too.
Great service, super friendly and helpful staff.
We’re already discussing when we’ll be back to try other flavours!
J. H.
Had one of their delicious pies and took some of their donuts home for later! Staff were lovely and gave recommendations and the food was worth the drive out!
T. D.
Amazing !!! We enjoyed a southwest chicken pie, a Hawaiian surfboard, a quiche & bought 6 donuts. It was an enjoyable drive to enjoy such delights. We'll be back.
A. E.
Donuts were pretty decent however I couldn't eat my sausage roll due to all the gristle.
R. E.
Drove from Coolum up to bakery for lunch absolutely the busiest we've ever seen this place & the Town.Had to que up & wait for people to pass thru, but worth it as food was great & staff helpful & friendly.
D.
Would give 10 stars if I could, busy but we didn't have to wait too long. Line moved quickly despite being out the door.
Donuts where next level, and vegan options where delicious.
Cannot fault a thing. Worth the drive!
K. W.
Went to the bakery on a Tuesday, there was literally one other couple in there besides us. No waiting times on the food. Amazing, friendly staff, great pies, sausage rolls and meat and salad rolls. The donuts were out of this world good. The lemon curd donut was to die for and so was the Belgian chocolate one. Bought 6 different ones to bring home and try. I'm sure they will be amazing too.
M. K.
This place is awesome! Light fluffy donuts with tasty and exotic fillings! Be ready for the queues as it is very popular.
J. G.
Well worth the drive
S. L.
If you like donuts then this is the place to go.
Great selection and taste great.
G. R.
Pie shop had sold out of most pies only a choice of 3 limited selection of drinks also
L. W.
Gosh, this place is amazing, the food, the smells, the atmosphere. And don't go forgetting the 1kg donut! If you finish it you get a plate on their walls! The normal donuts and dog biscuits were pretty awesome too!
S. G.
They have expanded since I was last here 3 years ago - donuts and sweets in the original shop and bakery items like pies are in the shop next door. Brilliant service and great food as before! Covid safe practices I place - thank you!
B. S.
The donors in this place are a must try and their coffee is good as well. The staff was friendly and accommodating explaining all different items. Good country place for a quick stopover and little nibble on the way.
B. R.
1KG Doughnut challenge....OMmmmmmmG delicious
K. M.
Pretty good Donuts, let down by terrible coffee. A flat white is not 50% foam.
J. M.
My Family & I go here all the time !
The drive out through Kenilworth country is beautiful & this bakery is our favourite part of the trip ! ♡ The staff are lovely & they have the most delicious range of goodies to pick from. My favourite bakery EVER ! ...ALSO, We are at the bakery right now getting our morning treats lol.
K. J.
Best donuts ever!! The ladies serving were super friendly. The line up was down the street but we didn't have to wait long.
S. J.
Beautiful location full of beautiful food and happy staff. The coffee in a doughnut is nice but you'll appreciate a separate treat and coffee more.
I. M.
Well it's definitely the place to go for donuts so many choices and they were all great the ones we chose. Friendly staff and great coffee.
D. “. S.
Amazing doughnuts with a great selection for all dietary requirements. Their savoury selection next door is also top notch with great fresh products. Price is at a premium given its tourist status however overall it's amazing.
B. W.
We had a pie for lunch and it was very nice. It was filling so we didn’t have room for a donut. No seating so we sat on a bench and ate ours. Other people went across the road to the park. We’d go back.
A.
Chunk steak was on the money 👌
K. L. (.
Very busy on the day due to the long weekend.
There was a long line up, however we were all really well entertained by a busker with a great vibe plus excellent talent of the didgeridoo, also the bingos
The famous 1 kilo donut challenge is just that a challenge!
There were 7 in our party and quite frankly we couldn't meet the requirements. Lol
A great day for all.
R. H.
Went for the doughnuts, OMG!!! They have 1kg ones they're massive. Settled on a mixed box of the normal doughnuts (also big) for our little reunion of some family in the park. We ended up taking the remainder home. Next time I'm going to try their pies!!!
C. H. (.
Delicious and huge variety of items including GF and vegan options.
L. M.
I tried the pepper steak pie and I can honestly say it is one of the best pies I have ever had, light crispy pastry and chunky lean beef all in a delicious thick gravy, what a treat
A. J.
The only negative is not being able to stomach every single item they offer in one sitting. Highly recommend!
B. T.
The food is good, but the doughnuts are oh my God!!
स. ह.
Sweet doughnut 🍩 sooooooo yumm
L. M.
Great service, yummy donuts. Can’t wait to come back!
D. D.
Friendly staff yummy 😋 doughnuts good atmosphere.☺️✅
C. m.
Great food, very busy but absolutely worth it
S. L. L.
Ohhhhh my goodness, it is not to be missed..... at all, donuts were delicious
A. R.
Had a 1kg doughnut between a few of us. Great variety available and nice atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you are in the area
T. B.
Used to be a good place to visit, but tourists have really taken over this town. The line up to get into the bakery extends all the way up the main street and you have to wait ages just to get a donut. The parking is woeful. The streets are just too busy. Not the fault of the owners though - they have done a fantastic job at growing this business. The good is pretty good here. I find the donuts a bit too doughy for my liking, but still have a great variety. I head to Imbil Bakery these days - better food and a lot quieter!
G. C.
Still long Q.. but worth it..😋
A bit disappointing 😞don't make my favorite " cream brulee" anymore 😢😕
J. E.
No trip to Kenilworth is complete without one of these deliciousness!
L. D.
The most amazing fresh doughnuts, even though the store is super busy, the staff are amazing and quick to serve.
B. K.
Amazing food and staff great seating area and lovely art works
A. A.
Kenilworth Country Bakery is definitely worth making the drive for!
The Donuts are amazing and well priced.
If you've got a young family, I definitely suggest making a morning out of it and taking the donuts over to the big beautiful park for some family time together.
B. “. T.
Don't shop os something else! What a delicious assortment of amazing donuts!
N. V.
Donut was delicious, coffee was nice, the place is unique .. will come back and bring my family ❤
S. F.
Amazing donuts just wish they were closer to the coast or did deliveries 😊
C. M.
Yumm...so good a really great little town to visit.
M. S.
Pricey - but great for the area - worth checking out the donut selection....
S. A.
This place is amazing too many sweet things to choose from
M. F.
Delicious ! An absolute must. There will most likely be a line but it moves quick! Thank you so much we will be back :)
j. c.
Lovely staff great range of products scrumptious donuts
P. D.
Arrived on closing but they still had plenty of stock including one of their 1 kg doughnuts! More than happy to serve us and the line of people behind us. I resisted the temptation to devour the monster cake version and had the Belgian chocolate custard doughnut and a cappacino both of which were delectable. This place is helping to put Kenilworth on the map!
T.
This is doughnut heaven and if you'd like to challenge yourself take the 1kg doughnut challenge! Delicious doughnuts and coffee.
H. C.
Amazing donuts, very tasty. Be prepared to queue
s. u.
Coffee in a doughnut was absolutely brilliant (Bun-style doughnut, hollowed out and lined with nutella for leak-proof seal). Also home of the 1 kilo doughnut challenge. Good luck.
D. I.
You need to get in quick for this bakery. It fills up fast with keen customers often making day trips to get some of the delicious goodies on offer. Whether a hot meat pie or a doughnut. A great range of food and drink to select from.
J. H.
Kenilworth Bakery... Huge range of freshly baked goods offering a variety of sweet and savoury products to delight one's palate. If you're looking for a dare (everyone loves to double dare a darer!) then you can't go past the 1kg donut challenge, which comes with the ability to customise to your liking! With lines out the door and down the street it's not hard to see why seating is first-in-best-dressed (noting there are nearby grounds to relax at too).
Although KB is situated quite some distance from the nearest 'holiday hotspot' the scenic drive and food more than makes up for the wait.
I will be back to eat my weight in food again!
d. s.
Great selection of savoury and sweet doughnuts
M. P.
Delicious donuts- the custard ones are yum. The breakfast slice is also a winner. But maybe the owner should make sure staff know that when a pair of tongs drops on the floor you get a clean pair- not use them for the next customer.
R. W.
Best meat pie and coffee for ages, chunky meat pie (more meat than gravy). How good is that. Coffee was excellent as well. The queue tells the story. Well laid out for social distancing as well. We were there right at 12 midday on a cool day, so plenty of customers. Plenty of seats across in the park. Service was good with pleasant helpful staff
K. E.
It's the best doughnut in Sunshine coast .
My favorite is the cream bun it's so soft , not too sweet. Highly recommend here if you visit Kenilworth. Worth it to drive here.
J. C.
Large assortment of delicious donuts and pies worth the drive!
D. M.
So many people rave about this place, however I just didn't feel it. More of a donut shop than a bakery. The donuts were good, but their pies are only 'alright', but not worth recommending. If you plan to go, go early during the week, as the line up is insane on weekends or around lunchtime.
A. C.
Been twice and both times the donuts were next level amazing.
Worth the drive. Sitting area out the back is well set-up (ample seating), and includes a play section for young children.
Line up during holidays is around 15 minute wait to get in. Get there early - we were there today for around 1 hour (from arrival to leaving after eating), and there was always a line well into the street.
t. d.
The Star of Kenilworth! Delicious donuts worthy of the best donuts in Queensland. I didn't have the guts to try the 1kg challenge but one day I'll be back 😜
C. R.
We have visited Kenilworth Bakery many times and fnally got to try the 1kg donut. Well worth it! Their savoury range of baked goods is great also.
T. B.
They're a good bakery and well worth stopping by for a donut and coffee if you're visiting the area.
A. H.
Some of the best cheeses we have ever bought in our lifetime, only wish we had bought more to bring back
A. N.
Our first time at the bakery on a roadtrip and it was delicious!
S. B.
Wow... just wow!!! And also... YUM! SO YUM!!!
J. B.
Delicious donuts! With a great vegan selection 🌻
J. C.
Most delicious donuts I've ever had and quick customer service considering the amount of business. More then worth the hour trip made
M. H.
I couldn't decide my favorite thing on this place! Just love it!
L. K.
Doughnut heaven i couldn't decide what to buy i bought 4 and one got eaten before I bought the drinks back to the car. We will be back.
B.
Great bakery, great staff. The owner is very kind. They organized some bakery items for our Wedding in 2017. Best Sausage Roll I've eaten.
T. P.
Very delicious donuts. Coffee good too. Just busy.
B. D.
Go and challenge yourself and try the 1kg doughnut challenge more entertaining watch the challengers go green at the end of it
C. B.
The donuts were OKAY, definitely overrated but not terrible - a little stale. Around $5 for a single donut - would rather spend $3 at woolies for a pack of 12 cinnamon donuts, skips the line as well.
Took them 15 mins to make an iced long black as well
P. C.
Perfect as always. The only complaint was they had run out of gluten free donuts, but to be fair it was around 12.30pm when we got there.
R.
Always worth to stop when you're in the area. These donuts are amazing. Plenty to choose from, from the simple jam or Nutella donuts to creme brulee and golden gaytime. Or try their 1kg donut challenge. (It took me almost 2hrs). Lots of savoury stuff too. And coffee.
J. E.
Definitely worth the drive! This place lives up to the hype. Was a massive line to get in but once we did get in the smell was absolutely amazing!! We had chunky steak pies for lunch and some doughnuts for later on. The choice was endless. We will definitely be coming back again.
T. M.
Extremely busy Bakery with a large variety of delicious donuts. Be prepared to wait for your coffee due the volume of customers. The staff are friendly and apologetic about the wait time. Worth the visit.
P. S.
Nice coffee and while not for the faint hearted the latte donut is great for something different
D. K.
The donuts are as good as they look! A ‘must do’ when visiting this scenic little country town. The lemon curd and homemade custard donuts were to die for.... Thank you!
F. A.
Good variety of donuts. Nutella and milky way were good. There is also a savoury section available, which had pretty good stuff in there.
T. W.
So much yummy stuff and huge 1kg donuts.
A. A.
Clean, staff well presented. Had run out off bread before midday.
C. B.
We came up from Brisbane for donuts and the 1kg donut. I had preordered the donut the day before but when we got there, they'd run out. We were asked if it was okay if they dropped one to our house later that day. That was fine by us, still got my 1kg donut for my 21st. When the gentleman arrived with my donut, he also had a second 1kg donut and another box with 6 donuts. I couldn't believe it! It was amazing! The service was truly incredible and I will definitely be back! A mistake was made, that's life, but they more than rectified the mistake and I couldn't be more thankful.
E. H.
So many different flavours. Definitely worth a trip 🍩
A. F.
Popular place in a gorgeous little country town! No doughnut challenge for us, but the food we had was delicious
H. S.
We decided on a country drive to indulge on some awesome treats and it was worth every minute, even with distance rules put into place with many people lining up, the friendly Staff (Jenna) made the wait worth the indulgence.
Delicious Donuts and Hearty Pies.
A. H.
Donuts to die for, what an incredible range they serve!
A. P. (.
Tried a few Donuts and some hot items. The cream they use in the donuts is amazing. Gets very busy!
J. P.
Their donuts are amazing, such a great variety. Be sure to get there early though, or else they will sell put
M. S.
Love stopping in here on our way up and down the coast. Definitely worth the detour. Delicious food in a lovely part of the country.
It gets pretty busy but the staff work hard to serve everyone and the wait time isn't long at all.
My favourite is the custard donuts!
M. T.
Loved the steak cheese and bacon pie chicken mornay pie was a bit ord. Friendly staff and fantastic looking donuts mmmm might be allowed to buy a few thousand calories worth next time.
D. H.
So many donuts to choose from! Amazing arrangement and friendly staff
M. M.
Amazing doughnuts come in all kinds of flavours with different specials changing frequently and the opportunity to take on a very special challenge in the form of a 1kg doughnut! Can be busy and with social distancing in effect the queues can be long but it is worth the wait
C. M. D.
As expected the queue was long as it is such a popular place. We heard that they made exceptionally good Cornish pasties but we were told they didn’t ? We settled for a donut and a meat pie (the pie could have been a little hotter)
C. B.
Delicious doughnuts. Highly recommend the Choc Crackle and nutella one! Kids loved them. And the best part was the park across the road where they could then burn off some of the sugar!
R. B.
Great Donuts and great friendly, helpful staff! Is a must do when on the Sunshine Coast!
D. S.
Delicious pies, sausage rolls and doughnuts plus other breads
N. V.
Great shop and service. The doughnuts are just yummmmm...😋😋😋. Great range to select from and if you are up to it, take up the 1kg doughnuts challenge.
S. R.
They handle the high demand really well. The Golden Gaytime cream buns were a bit meh, but the standard jam and cream is nice.
J.
Obviously great doughnuts, but great coffee too!
B. l.
Im sure if you've a sweet tooth the opulent and formidable donuts and pastries will exceed your expectations.
For me it was all about the pies.
Not just a pie but an incredible collaboration of perfectly tender meat and 'realer' than real gravy. No instant pie thickener here.
Hats of to the pastry professionals and ragout guru's.
11/10. Cant wait till next time.
M. M.
So good! We came a little too early on the first day so there wasn't much of a variety of stuff to choose from. But when we came a little later around 8-9 the next day there was heaps more donuts and pastries to choose from. The donuts are the best I've ever had. Slightly crispy on the outside and sooo soft on the inside 😋 we have Dougnut time on the Gold coast but these donuts are sooo much better than doughnut time. The coffee is delicious as well so that's a nice bonus. Can't wait to come back and visit.
T. B.
Awesome coffee and donuts ....1st class
C. K.
This bakery has great pies, the pastry was lovely and crispy, just how it should be and the fillings were lovely. The place was packed when we visited, the line was long. There were a lot of donuts and treats on offer but were quite expensive. Overall , it was a pleasant experience. We will be back.
S.
Worth driving from Brisbane and back just for the serenity let alone the doughnuts!! What a town, what a bakery!
R. P.
Perfect doesn't come close to how nice this bakery is, thank you sooo much!
D. N.
When in Kenilworth it is a must to visit here for tasty treats and great coffee with a great vibe inside or out!
Sit inside or out. Great park over road for the kids.
J. M.
Mmmmmm awesome food and vibe, well worth visiting Kenilworth for
D. S.
The Donuts have taken over the old bakery, gone is the bread & pies, had to go next door to get the pies ( still kW bakery ) but sadly no bread. But the donuts are good.
T. E.
Easily the best attraction in Kenilworth. They open till they sell out so get in early! We went in on a weekday so it wasn't as busy. They have all types of options and even have vegan options. I ordered their infamous cappuccino in a donut and it was pretty good! They put a layer of Nutella as a sealant and it must be drank quickly or else it goes soggy.
T. C.
Most beautiful doughnuts ever
A. R.
A great niche market with all different types of filled donuts. I had a custard filled one witch was delicious! There speciality is 1kg filled made to order. I saw plenty getting sold, but I didn't partake myself. Very much worth the diversion to try one of these masterpieces!
c. c.
CHUNKY PEPPER STEAK PIE FROM KENILWORTH COUNTRY BAKERY. THE FIRST THING YOU WANT WHEN NEARLY DEATH
S. M.
Great pies and great hot chips
S. M.
Great pies, everyone needs to try the doughnuts
O. C.
First time we went here and it was phenomenal. I loved the coffee in a donut and took home some sourdough. They also have doggie donuts haha
C.
Fantastic place to visit. don't be scared of the queue, it's a well organised and won't be long before you are served. We will be back again soon.
S. L.
Always love their doughnuts and keep going back, when in the area, to try their different varieties.
C. B.
Amazing food but a little pricey... Still worth the try

Outstanding. Business booming because it has great food like a country bakery does. Donuts are the biz here, made by hand and attention to detail. Something for anybody. The 1 kilo donuts are allegedly just as good. Go there if your in the hinterlands.
T. P.
Delicious. They do more than donuts. We had 2 pizza slidders, water and donut coffee all for $21. We will definitely come again to try the 1kg challenge
L. S.
A very busy bakery! Delicious, fresh doughnuts, & tasty pies. I recommend the mushroom & beef, & bacon & cheese. Good quality, nice pastry & chunky fillings. Our dog also enjoyed his doggie doughnut.
A. L.
Delicious pies as well as their famous donuts. Very well organized to keep your wait short despite being very busy. A 1 kilo donut challenge awaits those who feel up to it.

Nice and friendly staff. Great food

Great atmosphere. Great food! Nice scenic day trip from Brisbane. Go here on an empty stomach!
M. M.
Donuts were pretty delicious
K. B.
Went there on a Sunday morning was going to buy something sweet to have with my coffee - the line into the shop went right down the street so turned around and went home - tuesday morning came went there again guess what no lines - brought 2 jam And cream donuts and 2thick shakes - the donuts were sickly sweet and the thick shakes were half ice cream and half syrup - we ate the donuts and drank as much of the sickly thick shake that we could stand then threw the rest in the bin . So won't be back .imbil cake shop better .

Heading to Kenilworth for the day a quick visit or just passing do yourself, your tastebuds and stomach .... head into the bakery... grab a bite to eat... your taste buds will thankyou. Writing this I want to go there now.........
J. T.
Donuts are brilliant, freshly made and very doughy! Management are really friendly, came out and chatted to us for a while. Only complaint is that they aren't based nearer to where I live so I could go more often... This place would make a KILLING in Mooloolaba!
S. S. H.
Best donuts
K. C.
Amazing Doughnuts and beautiful,friendly service!
N. C.
In your in Kenilworth, do your tastebuds a favour and stop here. You wont be disappointed.
S. A.
The busiest bakery I've been to in a long time. They have one of the biggest range of doughnuts that all look so delicious it's hard to choose what you want. I suggest getting one of each and 2 coffees and taking the rest of the day off... Took 15mins to get served but the line was out the front door.
T.
I did it. 1 kg of Jam and Cream donut down in just over 30 minutes. Need to come back to see my name on the wall. Oh and buy a nutella donut STANDARD size that time. 🤪
C. B.
What a lovely place to visit...Friendly staff...comfortable seating...beautiful surrounds and to top it off great tasting donuts.
And if you want to challenge yourself...try finishing the "big one" and get your plaque on the wall.
Make sure to call and place your order before hand to avoid disappointment...as its a popular place.
Already making plans for another visit.

Coffee in the doughnut does really exist, very yummy and amaze how it's create, worth the trip an hour drive from the coast. Local was really nice and welcoming.
P. J.
Great food, every kind of doughnut filling or topping you can think of. Great staff. Had a lovely trip out for they morning.
A. C.
Great variety of flavours and combinations, these donuts have the ability to change any mood you’re in for the better! #sharkweektreat

Don't miss it. This place is awesome. I can see why people from Brisbane drive there. The doughnuts are amazing and worth the wait.
I. D.
Great freshly baked items.... too many to choose just 1 item from, so purchased (too) many items to share with family back on the Sunny Coast. It is their loss if they don't venture here in the future, but I know that I will be back.
C. E.
Beautiful cakes and pies worth the stop
M.
Really enjoyed the coffee donuts and delicious sweets! Awesome drive to get to Kenilworth too! Will be back
J. L.
Best donuts! Amazing staff recommended me a lamington donut and it was delicious!
G. G.
Very Good! If you're in the area give it a go
M. R.
Get there early or you miss out on all the good food, got there at 1 pm most of hot food gone . I will go back to try out there 1kg Cream bun challenge just make sure your phone ahead, they had great range of other doughnuts too
D. R.
This bakery specialises in donuts especially the 1KG monster. Food is well presented with a good setup for queueing up the customers so no one can push ahead. With that in mind the best time to visit is during the week rather than the weekend. Only downside to our visit was that there wasn't any serviettes to wipe our hands and faces with at the end of our meal.
R. B.
The bakery with no bread 😜..... Just doughnuts.... But they were superb. Great service and excellent quality.
G. Y.
Donuts are awesome and are a great gimmick but this is not your traditional country bakery. What they do is done very well and they are very well organised for crowds. I didnt find everything that I expected
K. B.
On a visit to the Sunshine Coast from Victoria, I was on a mission to try these donuts! On a planned day trip with family, we set off from Palmwoods to Kenilworth just to get these donuts. 40 minute drive was well worth it! The line was out the door even on a Sunday! Sadly as I am in a wheelchair there were stairs to enter the building so I wasn't able to go inside to see the choices but luckily my partner chose a massive selection and everyone agreed it was well worth the trip!

Awesome place to stop n get a fed or coffee
L. H.
Range was awesome. The Crème Brûlée donut was amazing, ask them to melt the sugar on top fresh and eat as quickly as possible. So yummy. Service is quick. Slightly higher prices, but based on location and staff it seemed suitable.
Also, for those that are keen. Pre-order the 1Kilogram Donut and rest yourselves.
D. M.
Friendly staff. Delectable delicious donuts. Great variety. Worth the drive !
G. C.
We had an absolutely lovely experience at this bakery! The donuts were absolutely to die for and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the wait!!!
J. D.
Coffee and a donut good.
Coffee IN a donut genius!...
A. O.
Soo good! Amazing vegan pie and Roll Option!
C. M.
The food is awesome here. Coffee was good too. The only downside is the size of the place compared to the popularity and demand, however it is definitely worth the wait. Next time we come here, I'll definitely be eyeing off the donut challenge.
S. A.
The drive from Brisbane was worth it! Delicious treats and plenty of choice, even the line and crowd didn't deter us. We will be returning again for sure and hopefully remember to sign up for a challenge next time.
p.
Doughnuts are what you come here for, there awesome. However $6.50 for a curry pie? what a stitch up.. nothing special about them and no bigger then the norm from any other bakery. also $5 for a soft drink... opportunistic is the word that springs to mind. Don't price yourself into a bad name guys..
C. B.
Fantastic place, great donuts! Had the 1kg challenge, it was fantastic, was very delicious and definitely a challenge. Highly recommend a visit to Kenilworth Bakery.
S.
In love with this spot. Drove here from maroochydore with hubby for a birthday brekky date. So many sweet tasty selections, their doughnuts are totally on point. Love their spinach/cheese roll and pies too.
Friendly service.
L. C.
Tasty sausage roll at a decent price. Went late in the day, Saturday 1:30pm, which meant not much selection left so can't comment on the rest of the food. Plenty of seating out the back to enjoy whatever you buy. Will be back to take on the 1kg donut challenge!
K. C.
All time favourite doughnuts! Highly recommend trying coffee one ☕👌
K. B.
My first visit this past weekend and certainly won't be the last. Didn't have the appetite this time around to have a go at the 1kg doughnut (smashed down 2 of his little brothers instead) but rest assured when i do they'll be nothing left of it
D. R.
Very good donuts, with a great selection of flavours and toppings.
T.
Donuts are absolutely amazing definately recommend the custard tart and lemon curd flavours!
T. f. m.
Love the doughnut challenge
N. A.
The staff are always happy to serve you, the atmosphere is really cool and staff are friendly we had to ask for a takeaway box as we could not finish our donut challenge but every bite was pure deliciousness. There is a huge selection of treats at the counter if I had unlimited funds and stomach room I would want one of everything! The donut hot chocolate and coffee is also sooo good! A must do when youre in kenilworth. Its my favourite bakery.
E. Y.
Awesome doughnuts. I loved them
T. D.
The coffee donut was delicious and well worth the drive up from Brisbane 🤤😍
T.
the vegan gluten free strawberry donut is amazing! And my partner loved his Nutella donut, will be back!
G. W.
5 star food for sure, I had the coffee donut which was amazing! Unfortunately the coffee in it was so incredibly burnt, saved by the donut. Staff are so friendly, perhaps don't eat in front of customers though ...or be on your phone...but the vibe is great!
The rope is kinda a bad idea too...I understand if its busy but it makes it awkward when leaving
Thankyou though, will be back again!
A. P.
The pies were amazing!! Had one after ages and definitely no complaints about it. All I can say is mmmmm.
E. R.
Amazing bakery - had excellent pastries. Mostly donuts in terms of sweets. Loved the outdoor area out the back, such good vibes and it was fun to read the donut plates!
P. H.
Awesome donuts. Always got something new to try when out that way.
C. L.
Not quite a bakery. It is predominately sweets. Deluxe donuts, large challenge sweets such as a 1kg donut or beesting. The Nutella donut is amazing and everyone should give this one a go if you're a fan of Nutella. There is minimal hot food but still delicious. I will definitely return as I do every time I go to Kenilworth or stay near by. Keep up the great work.
P. G.
Can't beat a 4 pak of donuts to snack #winning
j.
Nice gluten free pie
M. P.
Great food ,good prices

Well done guys! Absolutely delicious pastries, donuts and coffee.
The coffee shot/nutella donut is ingenious.
Outstanding service. Will spread the word about you. Can't wait to return also.
E. H.
Amazing donuts, well worth the wait

The photo says it all beautiful area well worth the drive
V.
Amazing doughnuts, best place in town, so much variety. Didn't regret purchase.

Awesome bakery! The yummiest big / great priced sandwiches! A big variety of delicious donuts. And very friendly staff! A must, if you in this small town!

Kenilworth is one of your typical near rural towns, with one foot in the country, and the other in close driving proximity to the larger coastal centres. It maintaines its quaint country feel through the old style shops that dot it's main streets, and standing out above all others, the old Kenilworth Bakery is a shining example of how to reinvent yourself as a truly unique food outlet. On visiting this establishment last Sunday, my wife and I were both amazed, and curious as to the cue into this shop, that stretched almost 10 mtrs up the footpath. It soon became apparent as to what all the fuss was about, when we finally made it inside, and were greeted by the greatest array of diverse doughnut types, and flavours one could imagine. With a veritable army of locals, young and mature, carrying out the myriad tasks of producing, selecting, and selling to the never ending stream of customers, this shop has clearly become the go to, must try, iconic food outlet in the region. The flavours we chose were exceptionally tasty, freshly made, with lattes or other drink choices, to complement them. They even boast a 1 klg monster size doughnut, to challenge the oversize appetite, with a place on the wall of fame for the successful. A wonderfully enjoyable experience in overendulgence. 👍😎🥯☕ .

Pies terrific, donuts mouth watering,
I. M.
Came to try and conquer the jam donut, I wasn't prepared, left a defeated man though it was everything I ever wanted in a jam donut. kids loved their nuttella donuts and my wife, who is probably the pickiest pie eater I've ever come across, didn't hate your pies(she has refused to eat others, this is a big compliment). Throughout challenge I stole sips of my wife's cappuccino and it was the best I'd had in a long time. If I hadn't jammed (pun intended) myself full of tasty donut I would of had two.
e. g.
Really friendly staff and super tasty food at a reasonable price. Good option if you don't want to wait in other cues. Worth checking out if your passing through.
L. D.
Tasty donuts and the donut coffee was a great novelty.
D. K.
Awesome doughnuts but that's about all. It's a bakery that doesn't sell bread. What kind of bakery doesn't sell bread?
