Fantastic! Very friendly and helpful. They had my requested birthday cake ready within a couple hours after I rang the order through then saved me a second time when a slight mishap occurred after I left the shop (smudging the icing badly). When they returned the cake to me it was as good as new. Top marks for service and willingness to go the second mile for their customers. (The cake was delicious and well received too ☺️)

Ordered a specially designed chocolate/caramel mud cake for my husband's birthday, and boy, was it ever yummy! One slice just wasn't enough. Their sourdough and dark rye bread is heavenly too. We've never been disappointed with anything we've purchased from the Big Bun. The service is always extra courteous and the selection is awesome.

Have a flyer in local papers describing thrmselves as "Artisan" bakers. Nothing artisan about them. When I entered the store and told them I came because I saw their ad for an "Artisan" bakery, the lady serving me actually told me that I must have got the bakery wrong and wasn't aware of such an ad and they only have 1 or 2 loaves that would somewhat resemble artisan bread, otherwise all square sandwich loaves.

The bakery items are really good , but do not go for the Cafe food, I have tried twice thinking maybe it was just a once off but no its how they cook them. Ordered two egg and bacon rolls, im sure the egg was microwaved and the bacon was hardly cooked and on a tiny roll. Plenty of option on the island so The Big bun need to step up or just stick to cooking pies and Bread.

I hate these guys....... our business is just a hundred metres or so up the road and I cannot help but go up there almost every day.... great pies, great coffee and fabulous slices and buns etc.... Not to mention the friendly local service... And I forgot.... All baked on site fresh.... not shipped in like the brand names... Our staff love / hate ‘em as well... Thanks guys...
