I am absolutely obsessed with the cardamom buns from UNDER! We are so lucky to have proper Swedish buns in Canberra. The special toffee almond and saffron are also worth grabbing when they are available! Delish for brekky and afternoon tea, they are not too sweet and perfectly spiced. Their white sourdough and light rye tinnies are also the ideal sandwich bread… YUM! Definitely grab a sneaky cookie to eat on your way to your car!

The best cinnamon and cardamom morning buns! Unfortunately Under bakery is only open Thursdays to Sundays, but it’s well worth the wait for their baked goods. Sourdough breads look also great.

Yummy vanilla bun, so sad to have missed out on the cardamon buns - need to get there early on a Saturday morning. Only serving a few items during covid which is posted on their door.

Absolutely unreal. Highlight are the cardamom buns, focaccia and sesame loaf. Brothers that run it are lovely. They do coffee and vegan cinnamon buns too. Can't recommend highly enough.

Under Bakery is a Swedish style bakery with a small but expanding selection of pastries, sourdough bread and a coffee bar. They do special pastries at certain times of the year, Semlas was the last one. However, its not available now :) I can highly recommend their newest pastry, raspberry. Their bread is also very good, and if you just want it for toasting, look to see if they have any of yesterdays loaves at a reduced price.

So lovely. Prices are a tad high (even for Canberra) and they often sell out early. And the staff often look frazzled. But it’s worth it.
