Love this place! They use real butter in their pastry. Their pies are great and I’m very fond of their huge array of sweet treats! A bit of a step back in time. Also very happy to feel relaxed and free from onerous rules in their presence.

Very tasty pies. They have a reasonable selection of other bakery food too. The bakery is a small shed next to their house. The location is very scenic and a relaxing place to eat. Like one of the other reviews said, the customer service isn't world class. Not compared to some of the other food spots we visited around Hobart. They'd get 5 stars if that had been on point. Maybe hiring someone to serve might be good for business. Overall though, excellent food and worth a visit if you're nearby.

We just moved to the area and thought we'd head over to see what all the fuss was about.... Wasn't dissapointed. Awesome food! I meant to take a photo of the custard pie but I ate it too quickly. Vanilla slice is 10/10. Keep up the great work, we'll be back!

Bush bakery is the most amazing bakery I've been to in my life. Thank you for puting us onto it Mollie! The pastry is beautiful. Pies were great. The 4 or 5? Door sweet pastry fridge was so overwhelming I couldn't decide, next time I'll get half a dozen mixed pastries to sample and share. Its so worth the drive from Hobart for your next lunch/morning/afternoon tea event. I can't wait to go back there.

Absolutely love this bakery. Best pies - large and small. Sweets and treats are divine. So much to choose from. Great to stop up on all goods and freeze. Great prices and all made on site! Had a horrible experience at another bakery in Tassie so we stopped at this one afterwards after reading good reviews online. So thankful we did as the pies were so delicious, the pastry was perfect! We ended up coming back another time before our trip ended and sampled some of the delicious desserts. Wish we could’ve visited a few more times before our trip was over!

The bakery goods here are the best in Southern Tasmania. Well worth the drive to Leslie Vale and yes please it is at a private house. Don't let looks fool you. You will not be disappointed. My husband will only eat their meat pies and they have the best apple turnovers.

Went there last Saturday in the morning to buy freshly baked goods for breakfast on our very last morning in Tasmania, touring in a campervan:) It was divine! Not only the bakery super delicious but also lovely staff! We had such a nice conversation and learned about the origins of this family-run business and their passion for everything they do is truly shining through. Thank you, what a wonderful experience also to sit outside in the sun surrounded by beautiful, peaceful landscapes!

Food was great. The lady there (owner? /manager? ) was relatively nice when she realized we were there to actually by their produce. Up until that point I felt a little unwelcome in their shop when we asked for a moment to look at what they had. We had heard lots of favorable reports from long term locals and decided to try for ourselves. Food and produce 9/10 warmth and welcoming hospitality 5/10. Value for money 7/10. All in all good - not excellent - not great - but good.

We made the trip out to try and find a nice bakery pie, the guy in the bakery was busy making/mixing over at bench and the only words we got from him was there's more product in the fridge.. All the products looked great, but we left without purchasing anything

Best bakery I know in Tasmania. Leslie Vales little secret, mostly know by word of mouth. The food quality and taste is what bakeries used to be like and should be, not like the processed/premixed stuff franchised bakeries use these days. Not only dose all the food taste great is is reasonably priced, much less than most bakeries.
