Amazing Loafs!!! The Rosemary, Olive and Lemon and the Blue Cheese and Caramelized Onion Bougasse were quite literally some of the best breads I have ever had! Highly recommended taking a Sourdough home for snacks! The butter is also delicious, and there was quite a selection of Coffee Paraphernalia.

I got the Morning Bun and Pistachio and Lemon Curd Twice Baked Croissant. Both were delicious. Staff were friendly enough besides us feeling like we were being rushed to order so that we could leave (there was a queue outside and it was during lockdown). Hopefully it’s just a one-off because of lockdown because their pastries are delicious.
R. S. (.
Kouign Amann was crisp and aromatic! Pain au chocolat was good but and super flaky we prefer more buttery texture. Overall nice!

Delicious bread and delicious coffee. What more could you want? There’s a reason this place is always busy. Their soy flat whites are always perfectly hot and prepared quickly. And that rye bread with caraway seeds is to die for.
E. C.
Cute bakery. Lots of sweet and savoury treats unfortunately when I took the photo it was after lunch time so a lot of them have sold out. The coffee is really good and the service was fantastic. The bread loaves on the shelves look really good so will cone back for them. Had the croissant and the pistachio and pomegranate friand this time, both fantastic. Not the cheapest place to get treats but well worth the money.

Best baguettes i've had in Melbourne and wonderful selection of breads and pastries. It's nice to visit and support an ethical business like this that is embedded in the local community.
A. K.
This twisted sesame pastry was delicious and crispy. We bought some bread and another savoury pastry. We would have given 4/5, if it wasn't because the pastries were cold and didn't taste fresh bake in the morning. For the price, I'm expecting higher quality of product. Buy overall, not bad for the local.

I love this place a lot- I just think it’s a gem and I always love to go in. My favourite things are - baguette, loaves of bread, kachapuri, danishes, croissants, I had a divine eggplant vegetarian roll recently which could be the best sandwich roll I ever had in my life. I also like the cakes although they are a little on the denser side in general. It’s really one of those places that I favour so strongly when I’m in the area I daren’t go anywhere else if I’m hungry.
K. F.
Tried these pastries back in Feb ‘21 and these were just amazing! Loved the texture and flavour on the Hazelnut Paris-Brest and the Khachapuri had a balanced savory note. Seriously it tasted as good as it looks.
Service was quick and coffee were great too! We will be back to try more when we visit Northcote again.
R. M.
BLESS ALL ARE WELCOME. Bless them and their majestic bready ways. How many ways can one do bread? These kids know. BEST coffee too. Take my money. Feed me. Thank duck I'm not coeliac. Perhaps the old seventh day adventist reading room rubbed off on them because these kids are sent from heaven. Pls legit bring back the brisket sandwich ASAP?! And consider stocking free range eggs in your retail section. Okay love you byeee.

This cafe that has an array of pastries and breads baked in-house, that also includes provisions and outstanding coffee, is a pastry lover's heaven! With each bite and sip you can feel the love, care, and respect that the owner Boris Portnoy has for his craft and the community that he has built around his cafe business.
H. A.
Delish buttery croissants, flaky pastries and bread loaves- you can smell the butter as you walk in. Often rotate their baked goods, khachapuri is cheesy and buttery in the best way. When available, their cherry galette slices are decadently buttery - worth the extra gym sessions!
A. S.
Best pain au chocolat I’ve had (beating notable competitors in the inner north). Why? The pastry was crunchy and golden, with a decent weight, and there was so much chocolate inside!!! Thank you for not being stingy!
H. C.
Great pastries. Delicious sweets. The pumpkin tart was so good. Definitely recommend it. However, the seating situation is a bit difficult if you have a group of more than two people. Better for takeaway. It's a touch on the expensive side, but good for a treat.
P. S.
Coffee and bread are both excellent. But what stands out even more is the extremely friendly and helpful staff. They are so nice there - highly recommend 👌🏽
M. S.
Incredibly tasty baguettes, get them before they inevitably sell out each day. Some of the best bread around. The cutest little courtyard and some extremely tasty counter treats!
G. L.
Went in for a coffee and ended up with a free baguette, I guess they must have been closing for the day soon. Very tasty bread and lovely staff!
E. T.
Orderly Qs with an array of freshly baked produce. Love the crossiants and rye loaves. Tarts are also yummy!
L. E.
Sandwiches are lovely for a morning breakfast treat. Coffee is good enough to finish in 1 minute.
A. N.
Everything here is amazing. The breads are amongst the best in Melbourne, and my favourites are the incredible olive bread and the Finnish rye - quite unique. This is a destination bakery. Everything here is as good as it gets. The associated restaurant is also a unique and special dining experience. Great to see such obvious passion and care.
S.
Yummy!
Fresh pastries and nice coffee. May have to wait in line but it moves quite quickly.
T. S.
Interesting little place. It certainly has that modern funky feel. I visited on probably Melbourne’s last hot day of the first part of the year. The place was certainly buzzing with people inside and out. This was a good first visit. The coffee was very good and any place that has sparkling water on tap gets extra marks in my book. I shall return.
N. T.
Such a great spot! The food is drool worthy and the drinks are always spot on! Very unique options available too
L. P.
Don't be fooled by the exterior, this purveyor of all things pastry will have you weak at the knees. Baguettes, mixed-grain loaves, croissants, tarts and danishes, with good coffee to match.
M. A.
Mixed review, had a cinnamon croissant muffin thing and it was yum, fresh and delicious.... almond latte was bitter and watery so coffee front was disappointing but bakery items looked amazing and what we had was spot on.
K. W.
Friendly staff and I didn't realised this cafe has the best apricot Danish ever!
A. A.
You guys have good service but lacking a little communication. Not sure if the store has a phone number to get in contact with for ordering cakes and pastries. Hope to hear from you soon and have a nice week! (:
z. z.
I love that this place delivers, and when they come to your door they’re really friendly. The jalapeno scone heated up in the oven is an absolute delight. So is the chocolate croissant. The pastry on the sausage roll is probs the best sausage roll pastry I’ve ever tried. The bread is delicious. I even ordered a rum and pecan tart for a birthday, which actually improved the longer we had it in the fridge. It had gold leaf on it which made it extra special. Love this bakery.
G. B.
Got a loaf of the honey-oat bread the other morning which was very nice - but NOT $14.00 NICE! $$$
A. B.
Great coffee and baked goods, I'm gf so can only eat the brownie, but my husband, mum and daughter have tried and loved pretty much everything on the menu over the course of the last year.
T. M.
Great batch brew.
Very popular for their baked goods.
S. O.
I used to love All Are Welcome. They have amazing birthday cakes to order online. However I definitely don't recommend getting your wedding cake from here! If they lose your order you have to email them to remind them - no phone number (this is for a very high value order mind you). Going into the store doesn't help - they don't deal with cake orders in the store (I didn't feel very welcome!) Even when I was finally called to discuss the order it turned up to the wrong address and there was way to much (half left over)🤷🏻♀️🍰
***Note the owner has replied to the review and hasn't even thought to apologise for what was clearly a sub-par experience for a >$400 order for a wedding. It really says it all.
m. a.
They have some awesome breads and pastries, but I have never paid $10 for a sausage roll bit over priced.
K. G.
Great local bakery. Finally a good one in Northcote and Thornbury. I can’t fault All Are Welcome. Their baked goods are delicious and on par with many bakeries I like. My only wish would be for them to expand their offerings just a tad bit. It seems a bit limited. Also, I think their plain croissant is a little over priced compared to others.
E. B.
I've ordered a lot from here during lockdown. Their online ordering / pickup system is particularly good on the weekends when you're not wanting to stay in line outside.
Got a bunch of treats for Mother's Day which went down well! I also ordered the Persian love cake for a friend's birthday and she loved it. Everything I've tried has been tasty, but I think the sweet treats are a smidge better than the savoury.
P. R.
Great food, if your in the hunt for a sandwich with half a horse stuffed into it then this is the place.
Fits a certain criteria to work here, the staff see right through you like your invisible unless you as a customer wear third generation hand made sweaters with bespoke glasses
J. W.
Best bakery in Melbourne in my experience. Great pastries, sandwiches and coffee and the staff are always welcoming. Don’t overthink it, treat yourself.
M. F.
Lovely service, cute little place to sit and drink some pastry and have a coffee.
I really didn't enjoy the coconut fish pie at all. It was really dry in the middle and the bottom of the pie was quite dark. The flavours in the pie mix itself wasn't to my taste even with their homemade sauce. Lovely coffee though!
B. C.
Great selection of interesting baked goods and great coffee.
S. H.
It's worth getting here early to get your hands on their panoply of delicious baked goods and sandwiches. Coffee is top notch, as are the take home pantry items and cheeses. Great service, too.
A. P.
No doubt this is a solid bakery pumping out some quality breads/pastries, however, even though I'm happy to pay for quality products, I can't justify paying nearly $70 for a 6- pack of HXB, 3 sausage rolls and a croissant!
A. O.
I love this place. Fresh bread baked daily, sparkling water on tap and delicious and bright seasonal coffee. My only recommendation would be having a slightly darker or less acidic roast on hand for non dairy milk as the house roast reacts with soy 9/10 times and I lose half my coffee 😭
R. E.
This is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. The coffee is amazing, the pastries ever fresh and the bread is perfection. The service is extremely friendly, so it's evident that they live by their name of 'All Are Welcome'... plus they have sparkling water on tap. Brilliant!
T. H.
A very cute place but we had the fish pies to take away.
Better than any fish pie you could imagine..It's a delicious pastie like pastry, filled with a coconut fish curry filling & is fragrant with fresh spices & the perfect amount of heat. Will absolutely be a regular here for lunch.
C. A.
Pastries on point! Coffee is also amazing. Get in early for a good seat!
S. W.
Great pastries, great service, great coffees!
A. H.
Excellent food! But it is really worth getting in early, since they almost always sell out before miday.
Y. T.
The soy latte is sooooo good.
Great pastry as well, full of options but so difficult for me to choose just got each of them.😆
K. L.
Beat bread on high street. Coffee was can be average and the bakery has no improved, the bread is great, the pastries are nice, but expensive. With so many good places to get coffee, I get my bread from here and keep walking for coffee.
G. M.
Seating outside a little awkward for a group of 3 with fairly expensive coffee/drink options. Found the service outstanding and very much enjoyed my lunchtime focaccia and savoury pastry.
Would love if there was a way to check what pastry options were currently on the menu.
Y. P.
Breads are amazing, pretty little place, busy all the time. Staff are nice and friendly! The best cafe in Northcote!!
a. k.
Have had their morning bun, chocolate croissant, veg pie and coffee everything has been really good.
S. O.
The bread is fabulous and the service even better. Ordered for delivery online and forgot to get it delivered and chose pick up by mistake. they emailed back promptly and dropped it off in about an hour with generosity. Super kind and a now loyal fan.
P. S.
Beautiful bakery with a range of polish cakes and delicious baguettes. You can buy bread and a range of cheese as well as many local food and kitchen products! Great coffee and anything you order to eat will be amazing!
M. D.
I love this place, everything you want from a bakery. Yummy bread and pastries, sweet and savoury. They also offer celebration cakes at a very reasonable price and they deliver!!
R. M.
Cosy space with lots of natural light. Awesome smell of breads and pastries hit me even before entering the cafe. My chocolate hazelnuts croissant was nice and crunchy. Coffee from Everyday Coffee was nicely brewed as well!
O. G.
Lovely cafe/bakery with amazing assortment of seasonal Viennese pastries. Lemon poppyseed Kranz exceptional. Semi-recycled industrial interior. Small courtyard extends limited inside space and even though seating is functional this local treasure has unique charm. Often busy on weekends.
M. F.
Best coffee and bread in Melbourne.
C. C.
This is new to us and what a find.
Bread, cakes and rolls are made and sold on the premises and are fresh and delicious. The coffee is very good and the fresh bottomless sparkling water on tap is delightfuly refreshing. WOW
N. C.
Every time I visit, they have friendly, upbeat and polite service. Great quality bread, croissants and range of pastries.
s.
the most amazing friendly staff and the most delicious bread, absolutely love these guys defo my new local!! :)))
J. d.
Brilliant coffee (the batch brew is my favourite) in a relaxed atmosphere, with a remarkable selection of delicious pastries and bread. Bonus points if you're around when it isn't too busy.
J. L.
One of the best place to get pastries in Melbourne. Dare me to say the croissants are better (and cheaper) than the other shop with a rocket emblem. Great seatings in the converted laneway during a good day.
V. N.
Tried the honey cake and lemon drizzle cake. The honey cake tasted stale...as in the sponge cake felt like cardboard and at $12 a slice, I expected better. Coffee was good though!
G. R.
This is not my local but I make special trips here for the coffee (Everyday roasters - filter might be my favourite), the pastries and the muffuletta sandwich. Every time I go it seems to make the weekend better. Highly recommended.
S. H.
Pastry and bread great, but always overpriced, service good selectively. Also pay $5 for an unfortunately badly made soy latte. Easy fixes. Enjoy the visit here and there apart from these things.
K. O.
It's really nice place! Best pattiserie ever, quite formacie, but quality is really high. Try the croissant with passionfruit stuffing and savory one with a goat cheese , macadamian and figs. Perfection!
L. L.
Delicious honey cake and bread variety. Aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries fills the air :) cosy seating mainly suited for individuals/couples. Not for big groups.
A. S.
Best bread you can get.
Z. W. (.
The best croissants in Northcote, hands down. don't bother going anywhere else for sourdough, this is #1.
D. P.
OMG. Best artisan pastries. My Friday Treat Day! If you want an average bakery this is not for you. These guys are perfect at their craft.
G. R.
Lovely pastries- with Everyday coffee to complement them. Great service too.
S. S.
Best bakery in Melbourne, bar none. Both the bread and the pastries are simply outstanding.
R. H.
Best coffee and pastries. Really good vibes too, everyone was friendly and cool 🤙🏽
G. R.
Pastries at this shop is made to the perfection. But my favourite is their fish pie with homemade sauce. Keep up the good work!
E. M.
Great selection of sweet offerings as well as breads.
Coffee was great. Small venue with limited seating but you can take away.
M. E.
Great bakery. Morning Bun is a must. Coffee is average but food offerings are all amazing.
A. M.
Great coffee! Would love to see some vegan pastry options on the menu to couple with the morning coffee.
V.
Love pastries as they are not too sweet. I normally do not like mince tarts but theirs is ace.
L. V.
I go several times a week Coffee is great just how I like, really interesting cafe people and has a lovely warm vibe and the food amazing.Name All Are Welcome and that is so true .Staff make you feel so very Welcome.
B. L.
Kate, you must have been there on a rare (bad) day. I've been to All Are Welcome three times recently and on each occasion I found all the food, especially the cakes and the dark rye bread far exceeded all my expectations. Boris, Я вас поздравляю
J. Y.
Great modern place with nice selection of French cheeses, great breads and pastries, and coffee. Also a good place to stock up on take home coffee needs like paper filters etc.

A. B.
I just ate one of their chocolate and hazelnut croissants and nearly died of joy. Just delicious. Great coffee too!
M. W.
Best bakery in Melbourne! Everything top notch, and being local I think I've almost had everything. Only drawback is the seating situation.
T. D.
Delicious baked treats. Favourites include the cheese pastry and the sausage roll. Coffee is top notch too.

J. Y.
Great bakery that also has some handy coffee making needs like filters etc. They also have coffee beans to take home.
K. K.
It is a terrific bakery with really unusual but yummy food
R. A.
Coffee was average, food on the smallish side but quality. Seating situation is a bit awkward if you have a group of more than two people. Bit on the expensive side for what you get.
R. S.
Great coffee and amazing bread and pastries. Not a lot of seating but well worth a visit. Lots of hipsters.
A. F.

J. _.
Lovely pastries. Choc Babka is a standout. Coffee is of good standard.
R. H.
I went for bread but walked out with a croissant very tasty but a bit disappointed that they couldnt slice bread.
T. C.
Love the bread, I travel across the river for it! Shame about the tall girl who works there, she can be very rude and condescending.
J. H.
Unparalleled sour dough. All of their baked goods are amazing but the sour dough varieties are second to none.
J. S.
Best pastries. The lemon tarts are divine and the filter coffee is delicious.
C. A.

Is it worth venturing to Northcote for? Yes. Very much so. Understated space; the baked goods do all the talking.
C. O.
The organic sourdough loaf is incredible. Coffee also was spot on.
A. A.
Really nice place, service is warm and selection of coffee, tea and pasties are very special. Need to check this place out.

Pastries are delicious, but a smile from staff wouldn't kill anyone!

Best bakery in Melbourne just sometimes the staff don’t seem thrilled to be there

Perhaps the best bakery in Melbourne, at least the sweet pastries. Can't recommend highly enough.
