Cupcake Central has been my preferred cupcake choice over the last 5 years. This store is inside Melbourne Central in the Dining Hall area. Cupcakes are light and delicious. Coffee is good. Service here is always friendly. My favourite out of all the flavours is Vanilla Vanilla, second place is Devils Food Chocolate. Im not too keen on the cookie sandwiches though.

This place is tucked away at an unassuming corner whilst the other front facing juggernauts take centre stage at Melbourne Central food court. Cupcake Central offers a healthy range of cupcakes, coffees and cookie sandwiches! Having suffered through the covid lockdown, they bounced back stronger; a testament of their quality product. I got 3 dozens of different flavours! Generally superb; but the Red Velvet, Caramel, Biscoff and Vegan Choc are bombdiggity!

Cupcakes are moist, delicious with many different flavours and look absolutely gorgeous. I sent an assorted box to a friend for her Birthday and she was really impressed (not an easy task). However if you order online, they have a tendency to get the order wrong/delivered late and require some chasing up.

Just had my first cupcake Melbourne central experience one year ago and loved it!! The long black coffee was absolutely amazing, probably the best I've had in a long time and the cupcakes are like no other.. Perfect ratio of cupcake to icing and such exciting taste!!

Cupcake Central is one of these place, which specialises in just one item and they do it real good. What I noticed when I entered the food court Melbourne Central is the series of yummy posters in turquoise blue, heavily advertising some interesting food quotes, with an arrow pointing me where this tiny little cupcake factory is. What hits when you follow these food quotes directing you to cupcake central, is the massive number of cupcakes that are displayed, with the wide variety ranging from Toffee Apple, to Oreo Cookie & Cream, and the classic and popular Red Velvet. The Red Velvet cupcake was not overly sweet, like its meant to be, the cup cake was soft and fluffy with just the right amount of icing that it deserves. Would I visit again, definitely yes to try out their other super interesting flavours

I eat a lot of cupcakes (so feel qualified to make the following statement!). Cupcake central is far and away the best cupcakes in Melbourne and possibly the world! Absolutely delicious. I had the red velvet cakes for my wedding a cake a few years ago and everyone raves about them - and wasn’t I delighted when my husband surprised me with a big box of cupcakes for Mother’s Day. My only criticism is that there needs to be a store closer to the north-eastern suburbs!

How many cupcakes is too many cupcakes?! 😂 I bought all cupcake flavors that were available on the day from Cupcake Central to share with my bf (tbh we finished all these in a week!!) But these aren’t just ordinary cupcakes, these are baby cupcakes!! 👶🧁 Baby cupcakes are half the size of normal cupcakes, so basically we can have more flavors to try 🤯 My favorite was of course the red velvet, this one I think is worth to buy the normal cupcake size next time! 😍 Check out their website to see the list of flavors, btw they have vegan cupcakes too! PS: their store in Melbourne Central is currently closed, but I think they have 6 other locations too!

Cupcake Central went above and beyond and are so lovely. I had ordered some custom designs to be picked up that had unfortunately gone missing (it happens!) And the staff at Melbourne Central were so lovely and offered double my order to make up for the mistake. And a little bit later when the order was found at another store, management ensured they were safely delivered to my event (and I still had the make-up cupcakes to boot so it was cupcakes galore). I just really appreciate that sometimes things happen that we can't control, but professionalism, dedication and kindness meant all ended up well in the end.

I ordered 6 mini cupcakes in different flavours over the phone. When I went to pick up my order however they couldn't find it. They were very apologetic and gave me 6 big ones instead since some of the flavours had sold out in the mini size, and they only charged for my original order. Amazing cupcakes. I had cupcakes which were damaged during delivery by Uber Eats, but Adrian replaced the cupcakes in quick order, just in time for a surprise birthday party. I'm going to go out and say it straight off the bat; These cupcakes are worth driving 40 minutes for. Cupcakes are the kind of treat that need to be presented as well as they taste to achieve the full effect of the deliciousness. Cupcake Central take pride in their presentation and follow a consistent and effective pastel theme across all products, packaging and shopfronts. Their Red Velvet looks and tastes as it should, their Cookies and Cream is smooth but not sickening and their Lemon is so, so tasty!

I made an order on Thursday afternoon requesting the 30 gift box cupcakes with personalised monogramming for my partners birthday. I specified the cupcake selection and divided 15 seasonal cupcakes and 15 Vegan/Gluten Free cupcakes to cater for people with dietary requirements. Adrian, was kind enough to allow me to place an order even though monogramming required 3 days notice. Thank you! My pick up was for Saturday times between 10am - 1pm at Melbourne Central. I receive a call at 8:30 am that morning and was informed that there was a 'mishap' and lettering was incomplete. That my order will be ready at 1:30pm instead. I agreed and came just after 1:30pm hoping to pick it up and go to the venue that was 15 mins away and blow out candles for my partner. I arrived and 2 juniors looked a bit stressed about my order. They eventually tell me that the lettering has not been placed on and that the cupcakes delivered to Melbourne Central got destroyed. So ultimately, I had cupcakes that I didn't order and most of the vegan/gf ones weren't available. I was told that the manager will come in soon and will discuss with me about the situation. I went shopping for 20 mins and returned and was told by the manager the same story. They compensated me for the inconvenience by giving me 4 large cupcakes. So I got the carrot one as that was the only vegan/gf option. Which was nice. But my lettering was not placed on - which I decided to put them on myself later at the venue. My only suggestion in future, is if they had contacted earlier about the delivery incident of cupcakes being smashed. I wasn't informed this the morning they rang. I just felt a little stressed by the situation when I arrived and was afraid there was not going to be any cupcakes for the guests. Otherwise, delicious cupcakes! it was a success. Thanks

Visited the Melbourne Central location with a small group and the coffee had been pre-ordered but was not ready or available, not sure which, on our arrival.
