What a great high quality artisan bakery. Such lovely staff and pastries/breads. The crispy layers of the almond croissant with the filling was perfect. The eclair/croissants are nice and flakey and have an aromatic and sweet filling. Yeast free baguettes and pastries that just melt in your mouth. The sourdough has a nice caramel crust with an inside so soft.

The peanut butter and jelly croissant was pretty good. Nice seating area and pastry selection.

You can taste the love that went into the pastries! We had a tour of the bakery which is just behind the shop front and was amazed at the exotic new flavours the bakers are working with. We had the blueberry pie, croissants and and Turkish bread. All stunning and unique. Thank you!!!

Very passionate baker Mike from France, who learned his craft in France, came to Melbourne on a working holiday, and never left. He gave us a tour of the bakery!
Their Croissants take 3 days to make, and they are awesome
All pastry and breads are great. Worth making an effort to get here.

Very friendly service and the coffee and food is great! Croque monsieur’s were particularly tasty.
Great location very close to Flinders Station. Ideal for grabbing food on the go, and the venue has indoor seating if needed.

Best food, kindest service! They even showed me how it’s all done out the back. Definitely recommend xx

I stumbled onto this bakery on my way to Flinders Street Station. What a treat! I mean, I only had a slice of margherita, but it was so yummy! And i was so pleased that I was able to choose which slice I wanted - either corner, or middle. I happily chose middle.

My local, as I drop my kid at the childcare upstairs. Excellent coffee and really fresh bread. Their croissants are extremely fresh and puffy. Initially thought was done in a central kitchen but realised they have the ovens behind of the shop baked fresh every morning!

Amazingly tasty bread and pastries baked on site with high quality ingredients. Toasted sandwiches were a highlight along with great tasting coffee. Would highly recommend Flywheel!

With its beautiful display of baked goods facing Flinders street right across the entrance of the station, you simply cant miss this beautiful bakery (although the road construction is a bit of a bummer at the moment). Bright lights highlighting the different types of freshly baked bread and a nice selection of pastries, including caneles and coffee.
Their baguettes are nice and spongy/ springy in texture, giving you that nice chew yet delicate and soft. Even after a few days, the bread is still fresh and delicious.
Tuna Melt 5/5 - definitely a lovely toastie for any occasion. Tuna was well seasoned, and if you like cheese, once heated (which they can do on site), it simply shines through and compliments the mayo dressing. The savoury cheese can get a bit overwhelming if you're not too much a fan of cheese, but this messy concoction is one that I will highly recommend.
Their pastries also look very delicious and are also baked fresh daily. Would love to go back and try them as they look very well executed!

I had the most lovely experience at Flywheel today since the server was so sweet !!! He made a hot chocolate so good that it brightened my day. Will definitely be coming back !!

Great service but more importantly great products, you can tell all the pastries are fresh. The plain croissant is flaky, light and buttery meaning it can be enjoyed by itself. Flywheel Bakery might have some of, if not the best fresh pastries and bread one can find in the Melbourne CBD. I highly recommend.
