Lovely pie shop. Clean and tidy. Service was friendly and quick. Food was delicious. Indoor or outdoor (under cover) seating available. Good selection of pies, hot and cold drinks and slices. Another good reason to stop in Yackandandah!

Shush.. this town is one of the most pleasent, relaxing and nice places in the country. Do not tell anyone. Its a secret.... Whats more, there are a couple of pubs, plenty of accommodation and cafes to be able to stay a week, and never eat in the same place twice. But.... home made pies... now thats a favourite of mine, and we happened to be walking past... what a range of pies, pasties and sausage loafs, er, rolls (they are HUGE). The service was brilliant, the cleanliness perfect, the tea stunning, and the pie? Oh yeah, baaby... it was great. Now. Dont tell anyone about this place, or this beautiful town and its cafes will be swamped... 😉 Located 300km from Melbourne. (Look for Beechworth on the map) Plenty of parking. Wheelchair access to the pavement every 10 metres Pavement dining or inside. Brilliant Would I go back? Definitely yes.

Honestly, one of the best pies we have ever had. Partner a chicken and vegetable pie - chunks of chicken and creamy sauce. Me - a lamb and mint. Again big chunks of actual meat - not mince. With a hint (but not overpowering ) of mint. I could but ask their stock if I had the money. Also Excellent luscious cakes and coffee. Well worth a mid afternoon stop or lunch stop.

Have rated this as a five for the pies. The best pies around. The curry pie is sensational. The cakes and slices are really good too. The shop is very small and can feel like you are all squeezed in with people you don't know. You can sit out the front on the sidewalk but in winter - can be icy! You can get pies to take home and freeze which is a great option. Highly recommend the food!It is also a town that has been lacking tourists since the bushfires so if you can get there please do! The cauliflower pie is awesome for those who don’t like meat!

Delicious pies and sausage rolls. Pastry on both was delicious and flaky. My wife loved the whole mushrooms in the steak and mushroom pie. The steak was so tender and just cooked to perfection. Staff were very polite and helpful. Was worth the drive from Albury, so much so my wife wants to visit again next weekend.

One of the best pies I've ever had. Lots of pumpkin, perfectly cooked, in a flavoursome curry sauce with a nice bit of chilli heat in it. And all wrapped in perfect flaky pastry. I loved it!

Really nice pie, great pastry but the chunks of meat in the filling make the $7 price tag worth it. It's no plain pie from a bakery, it's a gourmet pie. How do I know it's gourmet?? The sauce comes in a little dipping tub. My pie was filled with large chicks of steak and mushrooms and its quite a deep pie. I feel like it was a reasonably priced

Now every time I have to ask "How does it compare to a Yak pie?" and the answer is always "Not as good". If your staff were anything less than great, at least that would be something to complain about.

Normally I would not provide a critique but as we will definitely be back so though it worth the effort. The Steak and Pepper pie was the best I have had for a long time. The pastry top was light and crispy, filled with real steak and fresh black pepper cooked to perfection (tender but not dry) in a rich gravy that was perfectly seasoned. My Wife had a Panjang Curry Pumpkin which she said was delicious. I also ordered a sausage roll which had a homemade filling that was not greasy, again it was well-seasoned with a full flavour and was the best I have had for a long time. My pie base was nice and thin but a little undercooked which blind baking would improve. All pies where 7 Dollars which is very reasonable as they are generous size and are enough a meal. Coffee was good but not excellent with the shot a little short and the milk overstretched. This the best bakery we have found in the greater Albury/Wodonga area and our overall experience was excellent and we are looking forward to our next visit.

With simple decor the place could easily be overlooked. However they should not be gone past without dropping in. I had my first experience there last Sunday. I had the Thai chicken and veggie curry pie. It was great and definitely the best pie of such I have every come across. A few days later I visited their Bright store and this time had the steak and pepper pie. It too was great. Good chunky beef with a rich pepper gravy. I will be back for more. I also heard from a local at Yack, that the owners donate to various local charities and are generally helpful about the town. Good on them!

The BEST pies in Vic, Aust....the world! Lamb and mint are def my fav with beef and red wine or chicken close behind. Not to forget the sausage rolls for a change. The cake and slices are also up there. The staff are welcoming and professional. You are treated like you are special everytime you go there. It is a very busy little shop so I usually get takeaway but if it's not busy I will sit down and enjoy the whole experience with my family.
