I’ve been shopping here for 20+ years and I’m so happy to now discover that 90% of their goods are vegan. This is fantastic! Their price points are also extremely good. $3.50 for most items. The vegan cream bun and vegan sausage rolls are a standout! Also great that they have frozen food that people can buy and stock up the fridge at home — especially during lockdown.

Amazing pies and sausage rolls. All vegan. The Vietnamese rolls are amazing. All vegan too. The prices are alll very 0reasonable. The pies, sausage rolls and pasties can be taken home frozen. Bring an esky to put them in. As I'd traveled a long way I had it in mind to buy frozen items to tske home. Staff are friendly with a customer focus. Would appreciate some Gluten free vegan options especially for the pies and sausage rolls. I'd heard tonnes of reviews by my vegan friends about this place. Even one had their wedding catered for by La Panella. I drove 2 hours to visit. First time to visit as they were closed in January for their festive season break. It definitely did not disappoint. Check all my photos to see the competitive prices of the full range of products in store as at the 2nd February 2019. I felt compelled to share this yummy and well priced food find. Such a treat. I will be back for sure. Ps. You'd never even know the food was vegan as the place appears to be your standard mainstream bakery yet it is so much better than that. 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

It's my kids choice for local Banh Mi. The baguette isn't as crunchy as traditional banh mi roll, but still enjoyed. Good flavours. Our choice is always the BBQ Pork-fu, hahah In the past have brought pies, Mushroom, but as mentioned from another review, they usually aren't that hot in temperature. Texture wise they are ok. The TVP meat substitute isn't quite like meat but still nice. I think being hotter in temp would make a difference too.

Genuinely my favourite place for food in the world. Everything they do is amazing! After becoming vegan I was nervous about missing out on sweet treats but their custard slice is better than any I’ve ever tasted. I’m finding any excuse to head passed high street right now so that I can grab some of their affordable, delicious bakery items. - definitely try the curry pie! - but also don’t go here because I don’t want them to run out even more frequently than they already do!

This bakery serves mostly vegan sweet and savoury baked goods. Their food is pretty good if you can't eat anyone else's because of the presence of animal products, but if you aren't vegan, I find that there's something just slightly dissatisfying about their food. They offer vegan curry pies, which can vary from mild to extremely spicy from one visit to the next.

THE bakery for no-frills, great-value vegan traditional-style bakery treats like pies, pasties, sausage rolls, vanilla slice, lamingtons, jam biscuits and donuts. They also make outrageously good mock-meat banh mi in about seven standard varieties, all vegan. I can highly recommend the mushroom pie and the duck roll with extra chilli. There's other vegan pies and sausage rolls in Preston but La Panella's are twice as tasty and half the price. Will be my #1 first destination to take international visitors if I ever get one again!

Every time I go to La Panella I’m filled with so much joy over all their vegans options. I highly recommend giving all of their Banh Mi’s a try. The “sausage” rolls and pies are also amazing. Excellent vegan pies, sausage rolls and pasties. Everything offered in the shop is vegan and, I have found extremely tasty. I do eat meat however I prefer grabbing a pie from here that contains no meat and have found that the quality of their loaves of bread excellent, always fresh and delicious. I can understand why their offering is perhaps not to the liking of some being completely meat-free, but I personally really enjoy their baked products. Fantastic example of how good vegan food can be! Please note however - Cash only, no EFTPOS facilities and they get busy hence no opportunity for small talk. But I guess a bakery that isn't busy is quite a bad sign...

They have wonderful, simple baked goods like sausage rolls, 'meat' pies, donuts and other cakes, but almost all of them are vegan (everything is at least veg). Lovely, friendly staff too. Oh.my.god. if you're vegan and you're missing just a bulk standard jam doughnut, get their jam doughnut. Not only is it good, but it’s cheap! It’s often hard to find ANY vegan food for a decent price, let alone delicious vegan food, but La Panella does it and somehow they keep it super affordable. It’s impossible for me to go there without buying extra for later. Never judge a book by its cover ..... not a pretender like some bakeries. Nothing much from the outside, looks dubious, High St, Preston location, but I can't believe that they are that good for what they are charging. $1.60 for 4 Cinnamon donuts, $1.20 for a plain Croissant and the rest .... which is far better than some places that are charging nearly four times the price, but they are on Instagram :-) trendy, hipster Croissant ..... you can't eat Instagram can you? Bahn Mi is next on the agenda. This one is definitely not a pretender, just awesomely unbelievable ..... thank you.
