Never disappointed with Laurent Bakery especially birthday cakes. All cakes are amazing and very moist and creamy but not so sweet. but my favourite is raspberry and chocolate mousse. Worth money

Am a semi regular customer at this place and the coffee, pastries and food are great although it would be nice if the Asian lady with the long hair would smile once in a while and be more approachable and friendly towards customers. She seems to cannot be bothered serving customers everytime I’ve been in and she’s working. Makes me feel like I’m not welcome and am bothersome towards her.

Overall not what we expected. Poor customer service. The place looks good. Food also looks good at first sight. We bought a croissant, sandwich and quiche and they were all average. Coffee was also not great. The facilities are good but I wouldn’t go back there.

I really love this place as it was very close to my first apartment in Melbourne, came here this morning and had my coffee and custard croissant, all was good and tasty. Just a quick suggestion for the Asian lady who was taking the orders, it would be better if you deal with your customers nicely and friendly! You will not lose anything if you look more pleasant and welcome the customers with a smile! I have to say that the ladies who were serving us were very respectful and look friendly.

Visited many times, always great coffee and food. Service is a little chaotic at times when its busy but otherwise excellent. Only complaint is why they altered the Chocolate Croissants to have icing on them!?

I always loved coming here for coffee being French I love the food! But today I was very disappointed by the service. No smile plate brought abruptly in the middle of the table ! I did mention it. Did not make much difference! It will not stop me from coming back though! Anne-Marie.

I was quite skeptical to visit this store since there were some negative reviews... but I am glad that I did! The staff was really great and helped me choose from a wide range of desserts and their knowledge of the products was impressive! Coffee was spot on and I don't think I have ever seen such a cool coffee machine. I had the berry danish which is to die for and a strawberry tart. They both tasted so fresh! I got the sourdough white loaf and I can honestly say it is one of the best sourdoughs I tried in Melbourne. Will be coming back for more

If they had acoustic ceiling, the eat-in experience would have been perfect. Sometimes when it is almost full house it gets really loud, I can't really enjoy having sweet deserts and talking to my company. It really compares to the cafe right across the road.

Walked in today & it was super busy, not many staff but the girl who served me w green streaks through her hair was absolutely killing it, multi tasking and so friendly, not often do you encounter staff like that so she deserves a mention :) Food is always delish

Nice and spacious place. Lovely decor and great selection of cakes, pastries and savouries. Opened until 6pm so you can enjoy your coffees in the afternoon just like in Europe. Will definitely be back

Like other Laurent bakery this place has a very nice interior design and mesmerizing cakes and breads, but it is pricy. Their staff are very lovely and chill. Coffee is average in comparison to other cafe near by. Overall it is alright. Personally i like their passion tarte.

OMG if you haven't tried the san danielle sandwich yet please do! Charlotte that served me, she was really nice! She helped me pick couple of cakes for home. She recommended the circus cake! It was perfect, it balanced the saltiness of the sandwich. Coffee was good, creamy and not too warm or hot, just perfect. Will definitely be back for more <3

We had gone to Laurent Bakery in Camberwell on May 16,20 to order cake. The fill in Manager Rana was very helpful and advised us that order can not be taken at the time as it was past the time but we should comeback tomorrow early in the morning as there will be lot of choice. This proved to be the best advice as we not only got the Rubis cake from the wide selection but variety of croissants. Henery who was serving us was very helpful and polite inspite of the restrictions due to Covid-19. Cake and croissant very tasty. The cake not only had a very nice look but equally tasty

Straight to the point the cakes are scrumptious but the coffee I got was cold but it tasted good and the waiter offered to make another one. Again the lighting was dim. I will return but would request for hot coffee. 👍

We always enjoy a light lunch and coffee. The food choices are good and dessert choices amazing. Laurent does get busy but once you're seated you can relax for as long as you like. The padded bench seats are very comfortable as well as the few large armchairs but these go quickly.

Whilst Laurent has become more of a chain store than a delightful trip to Paris patisserie, if you make sure the delivery is fresh then you are in store for a treat. Great coffee but a strain on the wallet. #frenchboulangerie

Very nice pastry. I go there alot to work or meet friends. It's nice but pricy and usually busy. They also throw out a lot of food by the end of the day which is just not nice. I once asked them if I could collect some of their leftover to give it to people in need and they said they can't do it which I can understand. But, I'm sure there are ways to reduce wast if the owners care.

Exquisite cakes, great service, good food - the main disappointment for a fine french-like establishment is that the toilets were poorly cleaned and smell like a urinal - suggest they match the Parisian theme in the toilet with more fragrance, and clean regularly as it is busy.

Wonderful collection of cakes and pastries. The almond crossiant is my favourite and will keep going there just for that. The only thing that stopped me from giving 5 stars was the price factor. They are expensive compared to others.

4 stars for staff service and shop atmosphere but 2 stars for pricing and value for money averaging 3 stars. Attended recently for coffee and some lunch and as I didn't feel like an $8+ small pie and opted for a ham, cheese, tomato toasty. Times are tough. Well I had to chew that toasty very very slowly as it cost $13.25, yes $13.25 for a toasted ham, cheese and tomato sandwich. You be the judge, good value or over over priced. That was my last toasty as a coffee only will suffice.

None of the lovely sweets in the display cabinet have prices on them :( mochas aren’t that great but all the other coffees are lovely

We attended Laurent Camberwell on Monday afternoon for an afternoon snack. We expected just your average trip to a cafe, but boy were we wrong. We were warmly welcomed by the wonderful young Henry. He went above and beyond to provide us with top quality service, answering every question I had about each delicious goodie they served. His charisma and zest for life was evident in the passionate way he went about his work. Thanks for the amazing time!
