Nice range for a country bakery. The coffee is ok. Service is with a smile. The stairs are old and a trip hazard and there is no provision for wheelchair access. I am sure they will serve you outside. A number of small tables and chairs out the front makes this a nice lunch stop. Ham cheese and salad sandwich was fresh and generous.

A small treasure of a cafe bakery in Malmsbury. Beautiful courtyard garden in the shade with lots of outdoor seating available. Our dog was allowed with us outside too which was great! The coffee and pies were great and the table service was very friendly.

This bakery is an essential visit when traveling the Calder Highway past Malmsbury. It’s just 3km into town from the turn off (locals return to the highway the same way). Family quiche, bread, pies, all are great value. Lovely staff.

Malmsbury in general is underrated thanks to the juvie. This is a really nice bakery, the pies were bang on (highly recommend the curry) and the vanilla slice was the French type with a harder biscuit in between, and was drop dead delicious. The shop feels welcoming and they have the gorgeous little courtyard adjoining with easy access through the shop. The doors are painted a very cool shade of green also :D

I found the customer service not great. Weren't very helpful or overly friendly. Young girl didn't really know what she was doing and didn't ask questions of other staff when she didn't know something. I'm hoping she's new and strives for improvement. Food was nice and courtyard was beautiful

Beautiful bakery, we had two different quiche flavors, delicious!! Coffee was tasty and service was very friendly. The premises was very clean inside and out. Great little town with lots of character. Bakery is a definatly worth a visit. The only thing I need to make a comment on was the chairs outside the front were very unstable all of the chairs that didn't have occupants were loose and could potentially be dangerous. Probably need a good tightening up that's all. Will be coming back to try more of the delicious fare.

Fantastic bakery. The sausage rolls are definitely contenders for my favourite anywhere. They are prodigious: girthy and rich, they have just enough visible veggies to fool you into thinking they're close to healthy, but not so much that it dilutes the delicious meaty filling. Great muffins too.

Best country bakery I can find. Hot cross buns that set the gold standard for what can and should be done to make a record setting award winning item. Probably the best vanilla slice in the world, if there’s a better one out there, I haven’t found it yet. Great pies, pasties and sausage rolls, bread is spot on, the fruit loaf is not for the faint of heart and is so heavy that you’ll put your shoulder out if you don’t but two, so you can balance the load as you walk out. If you aren’t happy with their goods, you need to get that chop off your shoulder and have a look at the real world.

Great service and great food, a hidden gem perfect to get away for the day. Was great to see the local geese, just be careful as they own the roads over there!

What a fantastic bakery. So much variety and fresh, all looks just mouth watering. Tried the veggie pastie and never ever have I had such a huge pastie that tasted so good. Worth leaving the Calder just to grab some good food from this bakery. 🥰

Could do a bit better with the sausage rolls. I was looking forward to a country bakery sausage roll. It was massive, which shouldn't really be a problem, but just didn't taste great. Something about the meat/filling. Wasn't to my taste but may be for others. Some smaller options might be worth considering to offer - something you can eat easily with your hands (and for kids). The current ones are massive and require knife+fork+table+chair.

Love their carrot muffins it's delicious, their Coffee was creamy and Delicious I got a cappacino. They have honey for sale and also homemade jams and relishes. Their steak and kidney pie was filling and yummy it's out of my way but I have stopped in there twice now, highly recommend. Great customer service also. Can't wait to try more things from inside here. So far I have bought their homemade raspberry jam and their Mountain Honey, haven't had a chance to try those yet hehe. Ohh yeh and you can have honey in your hot drink yummy.

We turned off the highway - so glad we did! Easy parking, came in to get a pie each, ended up with a magnificent baguette, some ginger beers, & a booklet on Malmsbury's history. Fabulously friendly ladies put a big smile on my face before I'd even tried the magnificent pie. The real thing.

Malmsbury, what a lovely, quaint, historic town. Very picturesque at this time of year. And the Bakery. Yum! Dinned in garden enclosed outdoor courtyard. Enjoyed one of the best home-made Pasties I've ever had! Definitely worth turning off the freeway!

We popped in for a light lunch yesterday and were impressed by the outdoor garden area plus the cost seating on the side looking out. The small quiches and pasties all looked good & tasted just as well despite being later in the day. Good coffee & cold drinks finished off our meal this time but it would also be worth trying breakfast & also sweet treats. Well worth the short detour off the highway, where there is an antiques shop plus the delightful botanical gardens.

When the route to Bendigo from Melbourne went through this town, the queues were down the street for this bakery and with good reason. These days it's totally worth diverting to. You can return to the highway or continue to Bendigo on quieter roads. The food is still that good.

Expensive for what you get and not a great variety on offer, but the food itself is excellent as long as all you want are $8-9 pies (no side salad or anything) or $11 rolls. Quiches and a variety of sweet baked goods are also available.

Really nice bakery ' a bit dissapointed I couldn't have a salad sandwich.... Also pies etc they run out quickly. They may need to consider making more items. Lovely helpful friendly staff.
