Korean Puff pastries …. Super yummy! Assorted fruit & nutty flavours with cream and warm pastry! Love it with a coffee!
J. C.
Tried their original flavor, which is an apple and custard filled puff pastry. Basically it is a apple turnover with custard fillings added. I like that it is not too sweet but overall speaking it taste a bit bland. The pastry is on the softer side and it's also quite small in size.

The home to amazing pastries! Love how fragrant the shop as they bake them fresh on site
Those pastries are so good, love the layers of puff pastry. They do have a variety of filling inside. I really enjoyed the one with the apple custard filling
We tried their coffee buns as well and they were really good. Love how they are so fragrant and soft on the inside. The pastries comes in a nice packaging and they are perfect for gifts too

Went it to take away some new castella cake and i decided on the orange castella cake. It was really good and i enjoyed the nice and subtle flavours of orange. It is a melting lava in the middle and it was good
Love how it wasnt too sweet and is just nice
T. L.
Pretty great pastries, they have some very delectable choices and they're all baked fresh and are very warm when you buy them. Would recommend coming here for a snack.
J. C.
I tried the apple custard puff pastry and it was delicious. However, it was small in size so l happily bought two of them.

The new limited Banana Puff is sooo good, and the Chiicken Puff is so delicious and savoury too!
2019 -
Strawberry puff is yummy! Not a fan of apples so I didn't enjoy the Apple Puff as much, but apple lovers would def love them too!

The aroma alone, that wafts by the innocent passerby is only the first of your senses to be delighted! This place has the most divine puff pastries! Both the apple and the strawberry (with a custard surprise) are delectable. It isn’t too sweet. The pastry is light and flaky! Just perfect.
The price is $4 if you get 4 for $16.
The pastry is quite greasy if you let it sit for awhile... never have seen that - which is why I have dropped them to a 4 star
Unfortunately this place is on my way home from work - so there goes my salary!😱
M. A.
Their coffee pan (bun) is gorgeous! Doesn’t have coffee flavor if you get scared! It is a delicious pieces of bread and butter!

Flaky Check. Puffy Check. Custard with Strawberry filling Check. But other than that, nothing special. $4.20 is really expensive considering how mediocre it was. One of those places you would go to give it a try but never return.

Friend bought 4 pieces for us to try, we had them the next day, pastry still nice and soft, filling is ok, not too sweet, as nowadays we try to reduce sugary items, nice to have coffee with this, overall not bad for first time
S. M.
This is something very new kind of pastry with custard inside.I went to this place when it first opened and it goes very well with coffee but they dont sell coffee.A different taste but very pricy .The people there are very friendly and very swift service with cash or card no issues.Only if they reduce the price i would go back more and more .
M. J.
Ok so this is a Japanese style version of the French pastry "chausson aux pommes" and as a french I LOVE it so much 😶
Normally in France we don't put custard cream in it, and the dough is thicker.
The custard and apple paste in it were a delight, it was still hot when I got it and fonding in mouth...
If it wasn't 4$ I'd come more often😏
C. C. R.
It is veey good to have a japanese pastry in here. There is only one flavor and it was so so yummy. However, i usually have it taken away since there is no proper seats to have it on the spot.
T.
The pastry is buttery and flakey. The custard inside is quite runny which I don’t quite like. The apple custard pafu is good but it’s not really worth $4.20. I wish it was bigger and had more flavour inside. Their new matcha and pistachio flavour was quite disappointing as it doesn’t taste like matcha or pistachio at all. The custard was pretty plain and the only bite of matcha I could taste was from a bit of matcha powder dusted on top.
Overall I would not go out of my way to buy pafu, but I’m willing to give their other baked goods a try.
R.
The taste and texture of these puffs are absolutely amazing. The crunch of the pastry followed by the lovely oozing custard apple filling.
F. G.
Current pastry affair. Crunchy, flaky, luscious filling. Apple custard at its best.
B. C.
Their new additions of banana and cheese and chicken might just save them.
They taste great.
If y'all had more rotating flavours and perhaps a community aspect for us to vote in flavours, think y'all would do you great execution and franchisees justice 👍

Great on the go snack! I have PAFU very often as a treat next to a cup of coffee ☕️
M. N.
You know Pafu is near when you can smell it from shops away.
They have the best custard puff pastry and their new in coffee buns are amazing. They not only smell so good but taste even better.
It comes with lovely packaging as well and is definitely one not to be missed
W. L.
Yummy little Puff Pastries with Apple and Custard inside. That's all they sell. Nice for a bit of a dessert.
J. p.
Just baked freah macha bun.
inside buterry and was so warm.
must try this so yummmmmm
H. i.
Starting off with just one item on the menu - the apple puff pastry, PAFU now has a few other flavours and even a savoury chicken and cheese puff.
The OG has to be the apple puff - a Japanese version of the apple turnover. Think flaky pastry, spiced apple fillings and a touch of custard.
Not only content with selling puff pastries, PAFU also sells coffee bun. The gorgeous aroma of the butter and coffee is mesmerising. A combination of salty and sweet, the coffee bun is excellent paired with, what else but coffee!
R. J. H. (.
I try all of these pastry. No word need. Just try. Sweet, soft and yum :)

There I am walking past this store and see these mouth watering puffs, I get the coffee and chocolate puff. My god bighting into this masterpiece was the best feeling as the custard oozed out into my mouth. I would recommend anyone who is travelling past to stop and get a puff. My only regret was not buying more.
H. R.
Delicious hot and creamy apple and custard puff. It is buttery and flaky and tastes fresh. However the coffee pan is not very good and very plain. The price is also on the high side so try it once only.
I. T.
Yummy hot custard and apple pie. Worth trying!
P. C. K.
Absolutely delicious! The pastry with the apple filling is delightful. I could eat like ten of these things. The downside is that at $4.20 they are pretty expensive and they are fairly small. 2-3 bites and they're done. The people working there are pretty surly too which is odd given how happy the set up looks. Although there is a lot of Japanese katakana all over the place, Pafu is actually owned by ST Group which is Malaysian and not Japanese.
P. B.
Great apple/strawberry turnovers with cream cheese(?) in addition to the standard fillings.
They aren't too sweat meaning you can enjoy them without being overwhelmed.
However the pricing on them is a bit too high for what is essentially an apple/strawberry turnover.
It's great as a quick snack or cheat meal after a day of work while you get to the train.

4 star because of $4.20 apiece.
Crispy light pastry outside and oozing warm creamy custard with strawberry/apple flavour that cuts through the taste.
The smell of freshly baked pafu wafts all over the place and I just couldn't help but try it. They bake this in store and my son loved it so much he's screaming for more.
It's a good experience but $4.20 apiece!!! same price like Hokkaido Cheese Tart, same owners. Can only use eftpos for a minimum $10 purchase.
This is more like a treat that you try one time but not something you'd love to eat most of the time because it's just not that too affordable.

Yum, yum, YUM!
These little tartes are amazing! So tastyy! Especially when they are still warm, that's the best! My favorite are the apple puffs.
Staff always extremely friendly, highly recommended!
S. E.
Delicious pastries with stewed apple and custard inside. The Apple is cooked to perfection and they use pink lady apples which are perfect for this treat. The service was friendly and they were helpful in providing a carry bag as I was travelling with my purchase.
M. M.
The place looks so good! They only have takeaway, and all the puffs were lining up and you can see it clearly waiting for you at the display. Pastry is flaky, buttery and filled with vanilla custard & apple, awesome!
A.
Located just downstairs of Melbourne's QV, a tiny store called Pafu serves tiny delicious apple custard Pastries. Hot and crunchy on the outside and creamy in the inside, its certainly something different. But it's a little pricy for $4.20.
N. T.
The apple pastry is so delicate and tasty, really well made, will be back!
S. A.
This place is by far one the best places to get desserts in melbourne!!! Try the pineapple flavor and thank me later. 😉
G. G.
Real nice apple puff pastry with custurd in it.$4.20 a piece
M. L.
Really delicious puff pastry with apple chunks and custard in it. $4.20 a piece might seem expensive but compared to a macaron, totally bang for buck.
A. Y. M. P.
Really enjoy this pastry all time is fresh an the girls are kind and smile all time. They now have new products! try it you won't regret.
l.
Still remember the first time I ever had the apple pastries. Still warm, and simply delicious. You had me at first bite, and I come here at least once a month to enjoy.
M. n.
PAFU are delicious! Original apple is the best flavour- the store at Melbourne Central always seems to be more delicious and more fresh than the store at QV
G. E.
A little pricey but so yummy. Creamy and sweet but not overwhelming. Perfect for a mini sweet treat. Would recommend both flavours.

Best coffeebun in Melbourne
P. E. N.
Normally I would say this is too expensive, but the apple pafu is just soooooo good. YUMMO. If you buy four you can even save 40 cents which could be a game changer in today’s economic environment.
V. i. t. S.
Very delicious light weight pastry. I can highly recommend the custard puff and Apple.
N. T.
It is a bit pricey. $4.20 for small puff. I recommend it should be $3.
It tastes okie, not very special.
W. X. (.
They were delicious but the only downside was the price(similar to every other review) it tastes good but it’s $4.20 for a relatively small piece
C. S.
