O. K.The bread here is really, really good. Another famous bakery near my house recently opened and I used it a few times, but eventually drove back to this place to buy bread. I felt again that this place was well worth it.
N. M.Please note, bakery is very nice, coffee is ok but I am giving 3 stars because you can't get desired bread. And staff could be checking and keeping your order, before selling to someone else.
This bakery is a bit different. The Flour House mills its own organic grain to produce artisan bread and pastries.
Inside is quite nice sitting where you can watch process of making breads.
And you can have breakfast and lunch on promises.
But people mostly come for take away.
On the first occasion we did have nice branch but have missed on their famous spelt bread. It looks like very popular bread!?
On this occasion we have decided to go for coffee and we have ordered their spelt bread as "take away". When our coffee arrived, we have been told by staff that someone bought our last spelt bread!? Not happy!
Their organic spelt flour is too expensive. 1 kg is $12.50. I have purchased 10 kg of different brand, organic spelt flour for $55 in special grocery shop.
K. C.This bakery is seriously the best, even better than Baker Bleu in my opinion. Their cider sourdough is used in restaurants after all. The dine-in area is spacious and comfortable, the bathroom has a baby change table. Getting there at 8am to have their Hot cross buns straight out of the oven is what life is all about! The croque Monsieur is also really good, coffee is of a high standard too. Can't recommend this place enough and I rarely give 5 stars.

I love coming along and getting delicious bread such as the amazing baguettes. I recommend this place to everyone who asks about quality bread. One note I’d like to make would be it would be awesome to have something gluten free one day!
P. M.The Flour house has gorgeous pastries and bread. No doubt at all. Sadly, and sorry to say, but the cafe is a bit lacking.
We waited 10 mins at the entrance to be acknowledged, then taken to a table and no menus given to us. We had to get our own after 10 mins. Tea and coffee arrived and was nice. Our food order took 25 mins. Pancake was burnt. Staff are nice but customer service was very lacking and it was not busy, only 3 other tables.
It’s a shame as the place is lovely and the bread and pastries beautiful. Their front of house manager before was well organized and we were always felt to feel welcome and served promptly. Just wondering if the management has changed?
N. W.The bread and jam made my mouth explode with joy. The croissants are nothing short of sensational. Such a gorgeous fit out and super friendly staff. Such a gem of a find!

O. Z.I am a regular here and can’t speak more highly of the place. the baguettes are best south of the equator and coffee and pastries are also amazing. do try their breakfast and lunch menu inside , it’s definitely worth it.
B. R.Amazing pastries!!! Must try their breakfast cup, the tomato relish is to die for! The croissant is probably one of the best in this end of town. And to top it all, staff are super friendly.
The flat white is decent but not very strong (eg. compared to Huff Bagelry).
L. S.Iv been going to Flour House since they have opened. I absolutely love all their baked goods and think its one of the best bakeries in Bayside. I would also regularly have a sit down meal in their cafe space. However I went in today for lunch and I was quite disappointed. All their flatbreads were sold out, as well as sausage rolls and the baguette's of the day and it wasn't even 1pm yet. Therefore being left with very little to choose from on the menu. The waiter was incompetent and confused.
v. b.Delicious Hot Cross Buns, tempted the north-sider's down to bayside and they weren't disappointed. All your bread is amazing and the sweet treats are just too tempting. Thank goodness I can order on line to stop me being tempted by all the goodies over the counter.

P. S.We’ve been shopping at The Flour House for over a year now. The products they pump out are all of the highest quality and the consistency week in week out is there. The staff are always professional & polite - always going above & beyond. We’re proud to have such a great business located nearby. Always support local and they’ll support you back with some of the best baked products you can buy. Try the honey/super seed loaf - that’s my favourite. Keep an eye out for the XMAS puddings as you won’t get better anywhere else.
F. F.The most delicious breads, pastries and jam on this side of the Yarra. The Spelt bread (biodynamic) is chewy and moreish, the baguettes never make it home as they are just too good and we love the sour cherry danishes, croissants and pain au chocolat. Great care goes into the sourcing and milling of the flours for their beautiful breads and they are all wonderful people too! Highly recommended!!

A.Couldn't be happier that the Flour House has opened. you can smell the fresh loafs as you approach the black and white awning over the little window opening. The best sour dough I've had in a long time and the service is really pleasant.

T. B.While The Flour House has only just recently opened, they have already wowed us with their delicious selection of breads, baguettes and pastries. They also offer coffee which I found to be pretty decent (but let's be real, they are about baking, not coffee).
Be sure to visit these guys early as they can sell out of certain items as early as midday which really speaks volumes for the quality. I highly recommend a visit!

A. S.The bread here is just delicious. Not sure which is my favourite - I just love them all. The pastries are also delicious. I really love the online ordering system. It saves me having to wait in line although it was an opportunity to chat to other lovers of The Flour House and we’d discuss our favourites and suggestions of things we may not have tried yet. I feel very fortunate to have such a high quality bakery so close to home.
