Great variety of pies. We tried the chicken and leek pie which had chunky chicken pieces and rich sauce. The coffees are well made. Drinking temperature and well frothed. I loved how the caramel latte was so well mixed and the flat white was great.

Baseline bakery with a good menu variety. I grabbed two sausage rolls. They weren't the best or the worst, but did the job. One of the few places opened in Ararat after lunch on a Sunday.

Just what you’d expect from a country bakery. Plenty of variety and the usual fare of pies, pasties, sausage rolls, sandwiches, cakes and slices. To continue my love of all things meat pies, I had a steak one and it was nice and hot plus very tasty. $4.70 which is the going rate these days for a pie. Staff were lovely and considering how busy they were, very friendly. You can dine in or out the front soaking up the sun. Good parking on the street. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly.

The steak pies were amazing! Certainly award worthy. Both days we went there they had sold out of their award winning winning vanilla slices, they must be great too!

Absolutely brilliant. Fresh sandwiches are great, possibly one of the best Mushroom and Beef Pies I've ever had, the coffee is amazing. And all the staff are very friendly! I'm not from the area, but I went in there twice in the one day before I left town it was that good.

Called in on our way home from Halls Gap and this was the best decision we could’ve made! As soon as we walked in the door, the sweetest lady started chatting away and asking about our day etc, I got a super freshly made focaccia and my partner got a mouth watering pie, sausage roll. All were to die for, absolutely delicious!! I’d drive an hour from home just for this food again. My partner also got the famous vanilla slices, and well they did not disappoint! They were so divine and left him wanting more! Definitely stop in, the friendliest staff which made the good old country bakery even more appealing!!

Food was fairly standard bakery stuff - not fantastic, but certainly edible. Shop was in need of some repairs and a good clean - just looked tired. Just passing through, so unlikely we would ever stop there again, but even if we were in town, I would likely look for somewhere else instead.

I visited this bakery on my way to Halls Gap. The staff were friendly and knew what they were doing. I ordered a steak pie and caramel milkshake. I was delighted that the milkshake was large so I got my money's worth. The steak pie was delicious. Thanks for the great experience :)

Very nice clean bakery, the girls were very happy and friendly. Pies are to die for, especially the curry pie ( sweet not spicy ). The melting moments just melted in your mouth, smarty cookies worked wonders on the kids. But the vanilla slices were the bomb. We will be back. Yummy

We stopped here just randomly on a road trip and honestly didn't expect too much, but were pleasantly surprised. Lamb Shank pie was amazingly good, and coffee was deliciously smooth. If you're on the road in Victoria and need somewhere to stop, can't go wrong here.

My Cappa was only very average. Country Victoria has a problem making a decent coffee tasting as though it has the full 43 beans. Often its more like frothy warm milk!

Coffee was horrible made both my wife and I feel sick on the way home. Milk was possibly off. Muffin not warmed presented cold not very nice. Staff seemed in a hurry to get rid of us although it was only mid afternoon. Won't be going back there in there in the foreseeable future. Also sparrows flying around inside and picking crumbs off the floor and tables staff made no attempt to get rid of them or clear the tables even though not many customers- very quiet. Toilets inadequate only one toilet when two men and a woman all needed to go at once with someone in the toilet as well.
