Bough a birthday cake from here for my son. It was wonderful. A bit on the peicy side $42 for a small cake. But it was well made and well presented and taster very nice. I would like to come back and try other things and see if we can kick it up to a 5 star spot...

I love their generous rolls my favourite is the chicken and avo flute and the farmer ham....super yum bread and high quality ingredients. Great range of quality breads. I don't live close but anytime I'm in the area pop in as it's hard to find anything like it elsewhere in Perth.

Love almost everything they make. It’s a bit on the expensive side (hence only 4 stars) but its just like being in France - almost. It’s definitely one of the best bakeries/patisseries in Perth. Must try are the baguettes, pretzels and desserts. Love love love it.

Currently sitting at Chez Jean having coffee with my family. First time here after getting several reviews from friends. Starting from service, we were served by Sarah who served us very well, her customer service is great. The coffee was smooth and very nicely prepared. He had a vanilla slice and it was on point with sweetness and the slice itself was very well prepared. This is a hidden little gem in heart of Subiaco. Will be returning. Thanks team you were awesome today ❤️

We've been going to Chez Jean-Claude Patisserie for more than 20years. The queue each day out the door is a good sign just how delicious the bread, baguettes, cakes and many other delights you can purchase here are. Starting as a small bakery on on Rokeby Rd in Subi, with the tiny counter at the front and at the time they opened 7 days a week and never disappointed our taste buds. It was exciting when they expanded into the shop next door which allowed for a few seats to out the front to dine in. Coffee here is pretty good too, so is a great spot for coffee & cake or lunch. You can also dine in or take away at the second Patisserie located in West Leederville on Oxford Close. I've been known to drive between the two if I can't get what I want at the other. If you haven't tried Jean Claude yet, do yourself a favor ❤

Get in there as early as you can for a chicken and avocado baguette. Without a doubt its the best lunch in miles. I say get in there early as a lot of stock can sell out very quickly and early on in the day- often a line of patient customers can be seen, overflowing out the doors and down the street. Definitely worth it! Highly recommend :)

Amazing, delicious French cakes and pastries. Love the ham and cheese pretzels and baguettes. Good coffee. Good service. I’m from Adelaide and always stay in Subiaco. I visit this bakery at least twice every time I’m in WA. It’s so good that sometimes there’s a line out the door. Worth the wait.

My all time favourite bakery!!! And the man himself still actively works at his bakeries, I find that amazing, says a lot about his dedication and passion for top quality baked goods in my humble opinion! My personal favourite would have to be the almond croissants, they're simply divine and I've yet to find another Baker that comes even close!!! They're, quite literally, crafted to perfection, and I can only recommend getting a "big one"!!! (The small ones would be gone in the blink of an eye, the big ones won't last much longer!!) This place is truly a cultural asset for Subiaco!! Definitely a five star venue!!

If you are after real French bread 🥖 croissants, tarts, cakes 🧁 and delicious 😋 treats Chez Jean Claude in Subiaco is to Patisserie to go. If you feel like a coffee and a treat, Chez Jean Claude has added tables for a few years now. Friendly staff, great location, delicious patisseries. Highly recommended. My favourite... fresh pretzels. Reminds me of growing up in Europe.

So far the best French place I have come across in Perth (Subiaco) The chocolate croissants are delicious and well priced! We also had the long rolls, the bread is to die for, however for $8.90 I don't find it very filling. My mum had a coffee, but said it was only average. Disappointed that there is outdoor seating, but no toilet facilities. Visited March 2017

Oh my, what a beautiful trip to France when visiting here, taken back, with all those divine pastries and cakes, too much deliciousness to choose from. The custard filled almond croissant was so smooth. You don't want it to end with every mouth full you eat. I am coming back and back and back again until I'm off to Europe myself. Oh my Gosh! I've never loved pastries so much in my life! This is literally the best place in Perth for whatever pastry you desire. I come here occasionally, with my favourite savoury food being the avocado chicken roll, and my favourite sweet food being the blueberry flan. The only reason why I can only come here occasionally is because the food is very expensive. Definitely not something you could live on, in relation to spending. But to tell you the truth the intensive flavours in both savoury and sweet options outweigh the costs by a kilometre. That's why I rate this place 5 stars and I definitely recommend you try it because simply put, it's MAGNIFICENT!

Go for the croissants and come away with much more including the best baguette in Perth. There's a reason there's always a queue here, but it's a fast moving and friendly one so my recommendation is to arrive early savour the delights as well as the staple fare.

Great Patisserie, so much so that people are prepared to line up out the door when we arrived on a Saturday morning. I've heard they can sell out prior to closing time, it's that popular. I ordered a 'La Parisienne' with turkey & cranberry sauce. It has the prefect combination of filling and crispy bread. It's like a pizza with thin crust that lets the flavour of the topping stand out.

I cannot rate this patisserie (in both its locations) highly enough - from the fantastic staff, to the exceptional chefs and the exquisite cakes and pastries. Our most recent purchases were a Croque-en-bouche and Opera cake for my two 70th birthday celebrations. Not only did they look absolutely beautiful, but they were delectable. We normally get our Croque-en-Bouche cakes from here, as they are the best in Perth, and the one we ordered on this occasion was delicious, as expected. We thought we'd try something new for our second celebration, and that Opera cake was so decadently delicious that all the guests were singing its praises, and demanding to know where we got it from. We've found a new favourite cake, and Chez Jean Claude has earned itself many more customers.

Hi Jean & Ema It’s Mac from Dad’s Army here Can you confirm if we (7of us) can come in on this Thursday 21st May 2020 As you are aware can you reserve the outside undercover area where you have the roll out awning Just as my calculations if there are seven of us we need an area of 7 x 4 = 28sqms I From my estimation of the area it may be 3ms x 10sqms = 30sqms If I am right we would do it at a pinch? But if you’d don’t agree we will go to Kings Park and take our own chairs and sit outside there? We are just trust trying to supporting you after our support for over ten years???
