Fantastic bakery with lots of delicious pies, rolls, cakes and fresh bread available daily. We enjoyed an almond croissant for breakfast and it was delicious. Definitely one of the best I've ever eaten. Lots of bread rolls available to accompany your BBQ snags. They serve really good coffee and are open bright and early for the first visitors to the island.

The iconic Rottnest Bakery established in 1952 has Great tasty pies and fantastic cakes, doughnuts, vegemite and cheese scrolls, bread rolls made up with different fillings all extremely fresh and all made on the premises. Plenty of outdoor bench seats and tables with some undercover.

If you need food on rottnest island, just go to this little bakery that sells an assortment of food items from sushi to sandwiches to grilled chicken and vegetables. Excellent value for portion provided. My meal for a quarter chicken was just A$10 with loads of grilled vege. Plus the cute quokkas are around to accompany you during your meal;)

What a delicious bakery this is. The sourdough bread using local salt was amazing. The cakes were delicious - I had a fresh cream bun and the jam and cream in it was generous and full of flavour. It was super busy but the staff worked fast. All the pastries and cakes and baked goods were amazing. Do not pass by this shop. Buy something during the day or go early and go back again later in the day for a second purchase. Prices were great even though it cornered the market on the island. Well done bakery. You added to the delights of the trip to Rotto.

Great place if you’d like to buy some snacks before your bike ride! We went back twice for their pastries. Their coffee is really good, according to my husband better than from “the lane” (across from the bakery). They have a lot of choice, sweet and savoury. I had the pizza which tasted very nice. Not sweet at all. We had the pecan danish which I’d definitely recommend, and the chocolate croissant. Good quality, nice outside area to enjoy your food

Great spot to grab a snack, taking quokka selfies is hard work and the pies and sausage rolls from this bakery certainly hit the spot. My favorite was the cheese and bacon sausage roll

Nice selection of standard bakery food on offer like slices and cakes and they all looked quite nice. Tried a few different items to get an idea of the food. The Oreo cake was quite nice but the red velvet cake was a bit dry and didn't have the right flavour, while the pastry of the custard square was soggy and disappointing.

The service can be a bit chaotic and confusing, there doesn't seem to be any set system in place, the staff are super friendly when they do serve you though. The food is pretty decent, I'd heard that it was super expensive, but didn't think it was unreasonable at all. Just make sure you hold onto your food and drinks when you are eating outside, what the crows don't steal, the quokkas will try to finish... great fun!

We ordered two baguettes which were great. Bread was nice and crusty, the way it should be. Unfortunately service was chaotic. Five staff members at the pie counter, one at the sandwich counter who disappeared when it was my turn to order. I was left waiting an unreasonable amount of time before one of them came over.

Unfortunately, the best place to get coffee on Rottnest Island, "The Lane", was unable to make us a brew this morning due to plumbing problems. Tried the bakery, opposite, instead. Croissants were OK but the least said about the coffee the better. 🤢

Friendly staff, food was good, coffee was excellent. Served quickly, politely. There were vegetarian options available. I visited at the end of the day but there was still food left. Make sure to come early, don't leave it until 20 minutes before close like I did.

Very Good Value for Money, they have an extensive range of pastries and hot food. Their coffee was fantastic. We sat outside and were joined by the friendly quokkas whilst we were eating. Highly recommend.

Great open scenery but watch out for the bird poo flying from above also all the tables are Dec style which makes access for wheelchairs to the table interesting I ordered a custard tart and a coffee. Which has a nice strong taste

Quite a selection of pastries, cakes and baked goods. Doughnuts were delectable. Bought 4 baked goods before heading out on our cycle to West End, and the baked goods still tasted good after 2 hours of cycling. Bonus tip: buy some snacks or food before cycling up to the various location on the island as there’s no food sold on the island apart from the “city” of the island and at Lexi’s.

We picked up two sandwiches here before biking around Rotto... the sandwiches were delicious! Really hit the spot after a long bike ride. I had the turkey and cranberry and my husband had the chicken avocado. Good prices too and a lot of options. I recommend for a stop while visiting Rotto.

A nice place for some good hot food and coffee. There are enough seating facilities outside under the shade to enjoy your food. Children can entertain themselves at the nearby playground. Quokkas and birds give you company. Pharmacy and toilets are close by. All in all just the place for tourists to refresh themselves before other activities.

Reasonable variety of rolls and at decent prices given the ‘remoteness’ of Rotto eg I had a delicious roast beef roll with caramelised onion pickle, mustard and fresh lettuce (the absence of tomato was great as it ensured my roll wasn’t soggy when I ate it 3 hours after purchase). Sausage rolls and pies were at the prices I expect to pay in Perth and around the country. I didn’t purchase any but they had what appeared to be an astounding variety of sweets. Plus they do coffee.

Food reasonable, price reasonable. The real drawcard of eating here is that you dine with quokkas and peacocks who wander around scouting for leftovers and crumbs. So cute! Remember though, don't feed human food to animals.

Cute little bakery in the food area close to the Rottnest harbour. The coffee was great and various pastries or sandwiches are the perfect addition. Outside sesting area is provided with quokkas strolling around. As the birds are rather aggressive, govering your food is important because otherwise sea gulls might enjoy your cake.

We stopped by this place for cuppa and cakes and to watch the Quokka. This cutie is from kangaroo family and roams freely here. We ordered a tart with a Quokka print on top.and a rainbow cake. Though visually pleasing the taste was average. Nonetheless this is a good pitstop which is near the ferry. You have eat cakes and watch quokka while waiting for your ferry.

The crows and gulls are very aggressive and I have seen them snatch food out of people's hands. They are worst with young children and handicapped people. It would not be too difficult to install netting around the eating area at the front of the bakery. A bead string door would allow access. This situation has gone on for too many years. The Rottnest Island Authority or Bakery must do something about it. Rob
