This is totally my go to place for my celebrations! I ordered my cake for Birthday and was so tasty and beautiful! My friend also ordered some cupcakes to surprise me without knowing I also ordered from them! 😂 People are just drown to this team! I ordered on Sunday without expecting they will reply me same day, but yes, they replied just few minutes after! So efficient! My favorite part is that you can follow delivery guy's live location and be ready to pick it up! Their website was so easy to manage, and that was my main reason I ordered! I love the fact you can order the cake depending of how many people you have as I was concerned if I'm gonna order the right size. This one was more than enough! Also , I loved the way they packed my friend's cupcakes with so cute gift card! Highly recommend this team! 🥳🥳🥳

I have ordered from Black Velvet Sydney a few times now as I struggled to find a cake for my friend who is vegan. All I can say is wow.. their cakes are absolutely incredible. We have ordered the vegan cupcakes and cake. They looks stunning but taste even better. Usually vegan cakes are very dry and flavourless but not from Black Velvet, you honestly can't even tell that no dairy has been used. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The service is always amazing and super easy to order from. They are my go to cake makers in Sydney.

I got this as a early valentine's surprise from my husband and I absolutely loved it ! My husband is not that much into cupcakes but he ate half of these 🤭. The package looked exactly as picture and cupcakes are delicious. It was lovely and funny at the same time as I also ordered the exact same cupcake set for him to be delivered next day. I contacted the team and requested if they can change cupcakes for my order and they told me its too late as they are sold out. BUT I was offered free cancellation! This was such a thoughtful gesture and with this, I am now their forever customer. So 100% for taste and customer service.

It was by a pure accident that we got to try Black Velvet cupcakes and was instantly enamoured, enough so that I ended up ordering the all gold cake (cause you only live once) red velvet cake for a 40th. I can't speak for the other flavours, but the vegan espresso martini cupcakes are absolutely amazing, and not too sweet, which is often a problem with icing. Customisation was also super easy as emails were answered swiftly and in detail. They were delivered in a beautiful bag and still delicious after a few days in the fridge.

Black Velvet were fantastic. A friend of mine recently moved to Sydney and only had one week of freedom before the lockdown hit. It was her birthday and she had absolutely no one to celebrate with due to the 5km restrictions. Black velvets cupcakes absolutely made her day. Such a fantastic idea to put images of your loved ones on the cakes! I put the order in with less than 24hours notice and they still managed to complete the order and deliver on time. Ordered nearly 1,000 cupcakes for a corporate meeting to say thank you to everyone who's persevered and maintained their grit and determination whilst working throughout pandemic. Needless to say, the cupcakes were a hit! I have ordered the cake online with delivery. They were very nice with rescheduling our delivery two times, thank you very much. The decoration of the cake was amazing. But the taste of the cake was very frustrating, we ordered vanilla sponge and absolutely no one from our birthday party had finished a tiny piece of cake, because it’s not tasty. It’s very dry, layers are about 3cm thick and not moist at all, very firm, not sponge at all. The cream is just icing and not tasty whatsoever. The cost of cake and delivery was $200, that’s too much for the cake which you can’t eat, unfortunately it will go to the bin 😢

Black Velvet makes intricate cupcakes. The sweetness was not overwhelming. The flavours were well balanced and presented. The entire delivery process went smoothly.
