Very tasty pies. Tried a couple of times and not been disappointed at all. Great bang for your buck as well. Prices are very reasonable and the pie sizes are big. We were lucky once when their AMAZING toffee profiteroles just came out of the kitchen when we were buying the pies. Last time, we were late so they had all vanished!! So instead tried the cherry pie and that too was delish. Everything we've tried here till date has always been great. Can't recommend the place enough! With a drive from Sydney just to try their offerings. My suggestion will be to take the goodies and sit near the seaside.

I drove past the sign saying Ken's Humble Pie Shop and seeing that I hadn't had lunch, decided I should try it out. Firstly, I would give 6 stars for service to the woman who attended to me - friendly, courteous and with a sense of humour to boot, top notch! Secondly, Ken himself was bringing the pies out from the back to the front serving area, so he's right on top of things. I had steak and mushroom, which is my go-to barometer at any Pie place and I couldn't pass up a sausage roll either. the Pie itself was 8/10, which is a high score from me. not a 10 because I personally prefer my beef 'n mushroom pies to be mince and this was really good quality bits of steak - which most people would prefer I guess and also, I like my top crust to be very light and this was a tad thick - again, a good, solid top is not a bad thing. I will definitely be back next time I pass through to try the prawn moray and something else exotic. Do yourself a favour and Don't go past this fine institution and keep Ken and his crew busy and baking - they thoroughly deserve continued success!!

tried out this place as we heard so many good reviews about it, and it was indeed good. we tried 3 of their pies - chunky beef, chicken and curry steak and rolls - sausage and spinach & feta. (i wasn’t able to take a pic of them all). the crust is a bit dry but the filling is really good. i like the flavour especially the chicken one. not that much of a fan of their rolls though.. i love their pies more.. was keen to try their profiteroles next time. we weren’t able to get one coz apparently it’s only available from 10:30..

My partner and I have bee. To the shop for The last 2 days in a row. We have tried 5 different pies all I can say is I wish they had a higher rating then 5. I would easily give them a 10 ⭐️ We have tried. Beef cheese and bacon, beef stroganoff, roast lamb , chicken satay, Thai green chicken curry! My favourite was the Thai chicken curry is I must choose one. My partner loved the stroganoff.

Ken’s Humble Pie Shop recently featured in an article I read for best bakery in the region and all I can say is believe the hype! I can confidently say this place created the best pie I’ve ever had (cheese and bacon pie) and I highly recommend. It was worth the hour drive to give them a go and I’ve been trying many pies lately. Go and go now, you won’t regret it. Profiteroles were also the bomb!

Wonderful, friendly service with pies made on-site. Great variety of pies ranging from beef, duck, chicken, prawn and even venison (special of the day). Good filling, nice gravy and buttery pastry. Their sweets section was impressive with the toffee covered profiteroles being the best I have ever tasted - big, golden & the crème patissiere custard having the perfect level of sweetness! Coffee also available. Very reasonable prices too! Thank you 🌹

The best pie shop in NSW , never had a bad pie here , fantastic menu with indoor and outdoor seating, around $5.40 for a steak pie and $3.50 for a sausage roll , if you eat on the premises there is free bbq and tomato sauce napkins and knives and forks. Situated right in the heart of the entrance with a free parking station down on the corner.

Humble Kens is a wonderful pie shop with a large selection of pies that have not let us down. The pastry is gold standard that really makes Kens the best pie shop on the coast. The great flavours are the added bonus! The spinach and feta rolls are our favourite, we drive 15mins just to get them. Hope they never change the recipe, as it keeps us coming back on a regular basis. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Glad we can support our locals who work hard to put out such a great product for their community.

Kens Humble Pie Shop is an absolutely necessary stop if you are at The Entrance. Nowhere I've visited has ever outdone the pies here. I highly recommend this store, if you're feeling adventurous get the Honey Chili Duck pie, it's amazing - you won't be disappointed

Firstly, the service was fantastic but the pie....hot enough to eat with burning your mouth, solid pasty base so it did not fall apart like commercial pies and most importantly it tasted GREAT... just wish I brought a few to take home. will be back again. Absolutely delicious pies here! We bought 10 different pies in total, all of which were perfectly cooked and flavoured! My favourite one was the beef stroganoff, which I would HIGHLY recommend! Definitely worth the 1.5 hour drive from Sydney, and we will be coming again very soon! Prices are very reasonable too, just be sure to go around 11 where there will be more range as towards closing time, there is very limited options!

The best pie shop around. All of their pies have great pastry, it's always light and crumbly. They have a range of delicious pie fillings. OMG do not miss these pies! When we are going to The Entrance, I take an Esky and all my icebricks, and stock up. Go in early and order (and pay for) what you want, they will keep it in the chiller until you are ready to pick up. Beef cheese and bacon pie will easily feed four adults with mash and veg. Our favourite. Also lamb, duck and chicken pies, pasties, sausage rolls, quiche....... 💓❤️💖 And then there are the profiteroles and apple crumble..... Going to need a bigger Esky next time.

Pastry fantastic. Gourmet Pies better than anywhere else(will take quite a few visits to choose your favourite). The best reason to come here is the better than old fashioned, custard tarts with real baked custard that is extra creamy. Profiteroles very popular with many customers too. The changing selection includes things such as lemon tarts that are so big they take a couple of sittings to finish. If you are fortunate to be there when they are baked try the cherry pie with fresh cream . It's the right balance of firm pastry, sour cherries, and sweet rich sweet cream.

We stayed a couple of days at The Entrance travelling from Melbourne. We all love pies (4 of us) but are very fussy and wouldn't eat just any pie. On our first day we walked in the bakery to have a look and decided, yeap looks amazing we'll be back the next day. Am sooo glad we did...most amazing pies, one of the best we've eaten. So many different choices savoury and sweet. Great customer service with a smile, the ladies serving behind the counter are friendly. Keep up the great work and don't ever change the way you make your pies, very delicous♡ Thank you 👌🏻

Words fail to describe how delicious Ken’s pies are. They are a religious experience. Eating them has brought me closer to God! My kids and I are addicted to these pastry encrusted meat delights. I was told that Ken had a pie shop somewhere else on the Coast and when he sold the shop the contract prohibited him from opening another pie shop on the Coast for 5 years. I didn’t believe this story until I asked Ken himself and he confirmed it. Whenever I go for a pie, I usually see Ken actually doing the cooking, stirring pots and restocking the ovens. The work space behind the counter is clean and hygienic, with all cooking staff in uniforms and hats. All pies are chunky steak (except the mince pie of course), top quality meat is used and the variety of flavours boggles the mind. Even vegetarians are catered for. When I had a lamb roast pie it was like my mum had cooked a roast lamb, chopped it up, put in the world’s best pastry and covered it with her own scrumptious gravy. DO NOT leave without trying their profiteroles, out of this world. And I would like to express my gratitude for the free, all-I-can-eat sauce that you provide. Before I discovered your shop, I would always resent paying $1.20 for three small packets of sauce. Now I can indulge in all the sauce I desire. I have never been to a shop that does this for their pie customers. Thank you so much. There’s little wonder this gem of a shop is constantly busy with locals and holiday makers alike.

We called in to this pie shop to supplement our tummy's after a less than satisfactory experience at The Italian where we were left hungry after forking out $50 each. Huge range. Well, these pies, homemade (you can see the guy making them) were to die for. Meats were slow cooked and just super juicy & flavoursome and the pastry was divine. I often suffer from heartburn with pastry but not with this one. We run a Holiday Rental home nearby and took a couple of D4 flyers to leave out for our guests.

tl;dr: Great range of excellent pies and sausage rolls, but use the free sauce! Outstanding pies; nice, flaky pastry and the beef varieties we tried were succulent and chunky! Sausage rolls were also great but not quite on the same level as the pies. My only complaint is the act of charging for sauce. It turned out they had sauce bottles available as well but we only saw them after paying, as they weren't pointed out to us.

Tried this place out for the first time today , from Sydney ways. Hands down the best pie I’ve had so far, I’ll be driving 1.5hrs just for the pies!
