We picked this place to have a sweet treat because they actually had chairs to sit on. After shopping we needed a pick me up, we enjoyed our bakery sweets. Such lovely choices to choose from, and other things we'd like to come back and try. Fast and Friendly service. Very clean.

It is on the Town Hall station level, walking 50m north from the station, under the QVB. Very easy to find due to a magnificent large bright sign! It is a cafe offering light savoury rolls and many delicacies with your choice of tea, coffee and drinks. One can take-out, or sit at their little round cafe-style tables.

Sometimes I have salted pretzels cheese snail from here with my friends. I find them a bit chewy, more like industrial food instead of fresh. But it’s ok when you are hungry. Even croissants are not the best but sandwiches are good.

I always walk past this place and I never bothered to try any of their food because it’s hidden underneath the qvb building. I’m so glad I decided to try them because not only were they cheap but they were delicious and healthy. This is my new found favourite place in Sydney! I’m so happy you guys exist

Coffee, is amazing! I alternate between Soy/Almond Mocha, and both are good, the blend of coffee is strong - definitely it will hit the spot. Also, a fresh flaky pastry is a must the smell is amazing!!! My favs the Butter Croissant and Hazelnut Croissant

This is certainly near enough to Germany art of pastry and breads and the service is friendly and fast hear also so you won’t wait long even though busy . They have a page section of traditional breads and desserts and plenty of space to sit and enjoy if your coming by train and on your way out of terminal take a left where the tunnel splits and you will be there in less than a minute

You can't pass through the QVB without stopping by this place! I'm a donut lover and their jam berliners are my absolute favourite. Every single pastries are fresh and OMGoodness!!! If you enjoy your hot beverages, whether you get served by Devin, Kim or Alex... they are consistently good coffees or hot chocolates. It's the place to go for the good service and the friendliest baristas in town - love them!

I usually don't like dessert and am very critical of serves that sell pastries and sandwiches. But I have to say, both here are incredible. The pastries are soft ( try their cherry strudels and cinnamon pretzels), tasty, they melt in your mouth and are worth every single bite. The flavours come very well together. The sandwiches are made fresh and have the right amount of filling in them. Coffees are perfect too, they're not bitter (they are on the sweeter side if you like bitter coffee though) and go so well with their pastries. All in all, friendly staff and amazing food!

Don’t usually care enough to review a cafe/shop but the service today from both sales assistants was beyond the norm - delightful. Smiles, engaging small talk and authentic customer service. Not just great food/coffee but made me feel great for the rest of the day!

The unsalted pretzels here are delicious. They create an amazing selection of breads, sandwiches and pastries. The prices are very reasonable. We stop here for a coffee and a pretzel when we are shopping in the city. The staff are friendly and provide excellent customer service. Worth a looksee.

Just like the way i like :) 2 tomato slices, 2 cucumber slices, right amount of filling. Their desserts are so good. Sweet and delicious. Right quality at adequate price. Loved it. But, the venue is really crowded and noisy. Good to feed oneself, not good to visit with two.

Being a bit of a coffee snob, I wouldn't normally buy my coffee from a bakery - but one night after a hard day, I grabbed one before hopping on my train home. I now go there every day... I can't comment on the food - never tried it! But the coffee... they know what they're doing and it's always good. Service is lovely too.

This has been around for a number of years but is still delivering consistently good pastries. I used to love the apple turnover which had a sugar crust but looks like they have discontinued that. My current favourite is the spinach and feta pastry. Great for breakfast. Coffee here is pretty milky so not a big fan of that.

It’s a really authentic german bakery and I often stop their on my way to work.They have some nice sandwiches and a big choice of products as well. My favorite is definitely the salmon lyestick! Especially the coffee is cheap and good taste. Look and see!

From the crunchy croissant and very cheap soy coffee. Love the variety of croissant. My favourite is the hasellnut croissant and chocs croissant. The bread is very fresh, you can tell by watching them bringing out the bread from the oven every couple of minutes. The way they serve is very fast making sure people not waiting to long. I always buy coffee and croissant in the morning before work and very happy with the way they serve the customer.

The bread here is delicious and freshly made every day. Each day they have little rolls with an assortment of fillings, Ham, cheese, Pastrami, it changes everyday so it's nice to get a little surprise. Very reasonably priced as well.

Fantastic pastries and sandwiches! The coffees are spetacular, i live in the south of Sydney but go to the city very often, i passed by it so many times but never stopped because its always sooo busy. But this time since i had a little more time in my hands so got in line and bought a few pastries and an egg ham sandwich and it was to die for! and my flat white coffee was just perfect! Compliments to the barista. Will definitely be stopping by from now on no matter how busy that place is! Love it!

The German Bakeries on George Street as well as at Central Station and a few other places are definitively worth a visit. 90% of the staff is actually German (so you can practise your language skills when ordering). The breadloafs and bread rolls/ sandwiches on offer are a bit overpriced but absolutely delicious and of high quality. The pretzels are a nice for a snack but don't buy them in the afternoon as they aren't as fresh anymore. Pastries are good and everything on offer is pretty authentic stuff.

Best soft pretzels I've found in Sydney (actually, in all of Australia). Healthy-looking sandwiches made with yummy breadrolls (seeded or not) which are also available separately. Smiling young staff, usually German girls, to greet you in the morning as you stumble off the train toward your cubicle in a building down the street from Town Hall Station. I haven't tried their coffee, but that seems popular as well.

Lüneburger's is where I go when I want to treat myself and my family with something special. Their bread rolls are just like I know them from Germany, very often fresh from the oven and still warm, and their flame baked bread has the most delicious smell and flavour! I also love the variety of their pastries, there is always something new to explore. Danube Waves is my favourite cake of all time and they nail it. The spinach pastry is great for a mid-morning snack, and the cherry crumble is also very good. Staff is friendly and efficient, so don't shy away from the long queue. I hope they will open up more locations around Sydney. If they were to open up in my neighbourhood I would be in heaven and have fresh bread rolls every morning.

Put a order in for an Oktoberfest party - ordered strudels, berliners (jam donuts) and spinach strudels. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our order was perfect (we requested the strudels to be cut in half) and upgraded us to the larger size berliners at no extra cost. Very happy with our order and would definitely recommend!! They take card (unlike another German bakery franchise) so this suited us much better than being forced to pay cash.

Just FYI they don't open until 6:30am even though it says 6am. Some pastries are nice and I buy often, but their service is not always great. I stopped by just after 6am and asked if they are opening, one guy just said that the times on the internet are wrong and he already has to get up too early. It also says they work Sundays but they don't.

There's a reason this place is frequented by homesick Germans craving a Berliner or Broetchen from back home. Staffed by Germans, the bread is fantastic. If you want anything more authentic, you'll have to book a long flight.

Ich weiß, wo ich auch die nächsten Tage mein Frühstück finde.
