Unbelievable variety of hot food. Best is the mint lamb and sweet chilli chicken pies. Very popular/busy, there can be a small wait.

Deadset ripper of a bakery! Great place to stop for a bite to eat - real old school feel to it. Pies have proper filling, not just mush. Can highly recommend the finger bun for a sweet treat - one of the best I've had, and let me tell you, I know a good finger bun when I eat one!

This is one of the best bakeries ever. The food is always so fresh and tasty, the coffee fantastic and the service great. Always stop here on my travels through Merriwa, the spinach and fetta pastry is so delicious. My grandson LOVES the marshmellow cones.... Very busy little spot, but there is room to sit and enjoy a coffee and treat. Thoroughly recommend to all.

We spent two nights visiting family in Merriwa recently and after popping into the bakery on Saturday and sampling their bacon and egg roll he insisted we come back the following day so he could have it once more before we left. I sampled the minted lamb pie and it was exceptional 🤗🤗. They dont make bakeries like this anymore.

Good selection of pies and cakes. They had run out of my first and second choice, but that is good, it means a high turnover and no stale left-overs. 50 cents for sauce is a rip off. Always full of locals grabbing lunch, always a good sign.

We travel a lot and visit a lot of bakeries. This would have to be the best bakery in Australia. The amazing pies of many flavours are juicy and flavoursome and topped with layers of superb flaky pastry. The Nenish tarts and matchsticks are to die for! We will drive many kilometres out of our way to go to this bakery.

Stopped on a run from Newcastle to Mudgee, got a lamb curry pie and coffee, best curry pie I have had in a long time! If you need to break up your trip stop into this bakery, you won’t be disappointed

Good food - but unfortunately the cafe is quite dirty. It needs a thorough clean from top to bottom. At 9.30am, this was not just 'build up' from a busy day. The toilets were grubby (lace curtain was grey with dirt), all of the walls and floors were covered in grime, including the dining-in area. So therefore, who knows what the kitchen is like??
