I will concentrate on the product..... we used the nanna’s rolls for our beef and onion ring rolls. The beef was sous vide for 9 hours and served in a Nanna’s roll with a beer cheese sauce poured over, the rolls were perfect choice for this- great product

The Portuguese Bakery has the best coffee I have tasted.The owner explained his search for the perfect blend of coffee beans and the methods of making the smooth tasting coffee, accompanied by a Portuguese custard tart. The coffee leaves no bitter aftertaste.

Excellent local for pastries and coffee (our local was textbook boulangerie). Loved the chicken and veg pie, such quality ingredients and classic flavour. Portuguese tarts were good too, creamier compared with Royal or sweet Belem and equally good pastry. Also enjoyed the coffees and other pastries. So excited to have a quality bakery nearby!

Nice tarts, average price ($3 traditional woh optional cinnamon powder, $3.50 for available flavours). I bought 6 for my first visit and extremely happy with my decision. I took them home and popped them into the oven to be served extra warm and crispy. This is my only preferred way to enjoy Portuguese tarts. This is how I imagine they taste coming straight out of the oven and it is delicious. my personal preference of flavours available today: #1 traditional - definitely get cinnamon powder to be dusted on top. Takes the tart to a whole new level of enjoyment. #2 Raspberry - a really soft fruit tone to the tart which is surprisingly pleasant! #3 Choc hazelnut - it was like Nutella, quite delicious. #4 salted caramel - I found it overpoweringly sweet and a little bitter. downside is that it is a *cash only store*. I rarely carry cash and I was quite surprised. But don’t let that deter you from trying their products, it looks delicious. From freshly baked breads, to savoury pastries and cakes. I look forward to my next visit :)

The Portugese bakery have the best tarts especially the ones with salted caramel in the bottom and they make the BEST CAKES for any celebrations. We have tried the jam and cream cake drizzeled with strawberry and the orange cake with cream cheese icing and they were both DELICIOUS and,they make the best coffee and Milk shakes and the owners are really lovely . Coffee when made by the husband is no good It matches his mood, he is very grumpy and rude. My daughter took me there a while ago we sat down to a Coffee and sweet snacks. The Portuguese tarts were the best I'd eaten. Filling was perfect and the Pastry flaky and divine. I'm up from Melbourne visiting again & whilst she's away I'm taking my husband to the Bakery for a break

Pastries and Coffee are both ok but the Customer Service is the worst I have experienced. I have seen the owner yell at staff in front of customers and scream out the door to customers whom like to get coffee from different cafes. Also charging to use card for transactions below $15 is illegal!

Went here for the first time with my boyfriend for a Sunday brunch. We had such a great time the coffee was perfect the variety of Portuguese tarts was delicious and other baked goods we're tasty. Nice family establishment with warm hosts. Will definitely be visiting again.

We travelled from Manly for this cafe. Despite reading the negative reviews. We had a slight hiccup with a luke warm pie. But the lady was lovely and did all the right things. Concerned, apologetic and sent us away with a freebie. The tarts are worth the drive!

The tarts here are genuinely delicious. The coffee is good, the staff are generous, the sandwiches more than the two slices of sour dough toast fixing salad and spicy salami slices together. Busy place, service is attentive - Portuguese tarts are authentic and tasty. Think the custard of a custard pie - burnt and tasting of svelte caramel flavour - with the flakiest of flaky pastry holding the whole experience together. Chomp, chomp, yum. Takes you to Lisbon, or Macau. Bom apetite!

Visited 17/04/2016 - Food is delicious, but the guy who makes coffee should stick to making coffee instead of commenting to other staff on the "strange" choices we made for breakfast (we shared a selection of sweet & savoury pastries). It made the whole experience extremely uncomfortable for us as we were sitting directly opposite from him.
