Lovely little shop. Stocks meats, cheeses, preserves, chocolates, fresh bread and more. The goods look lovely, I've only purchased gifts for others there but received very positive reviews in return. Staff were friendly and approachable.

Small shop with a cosy, neighbourhood deli feel that is crammed with local and imported foods. Refrigerated glass fronted cabinets displayed a delicious looking array of sandwiches, quiches, pies and also casseroles for take home and heat meals.

Convenient location, just off the Salamanca strip. Plenty of high-quality deli produce - meats, sandwiches, pies and lasagna. Their lasagna and shepherds pie are well worth the try - quite possibly the best in Hobart.

Wow! I'd go here once a week if it wasn't the fact that my arteries would harden and I'd die of a heart attack. Some amazing food here. Think "special" they've got it. The only issue I have is the cheese prices are very high, much higher than the same cheeses are even at other independent stores.

I wanted to buy everything in this shop. Only nice products and fresh food. I just loved it! The meat looks delicious and they have a lot of cheeses. We bought tuna pattie, mushroom arancini, soft polenta and spanakopita for the evening and all was delicious. They also have nice fresh breads

Excellent quality produce. We bought meats (for barbecue) & halloumi to take to Bruny Island for a 4-day trip: the staff provided us with a polystyrene box and ice packs to keep it fresh during our journey. We enjoyed it so much that we called in again on our way back through Hobart.

Fantastic friendly staff with a passion for German, and greater European food. Love the selection of small goods and the passion for sausage making/curing, European cheeses and the fresh pasta. Yes, you can have quality European food in Hobart!

Have bought pork pies from here. Though other food is really lovely, the pork pies are not ! I'm from the UK, so have been spoilt. While the pastry is very nice, the aspic jelly just right. The meat is ok, but needs more pepper, salt and other spices, as it tends to be very bland.

One of my favourite places to stock up on indulgences. This time veal scallopine, lamb backstrap, salmon quiche, zucchini slice, Persian potato cake, malt and linseed sourdough and a shepherd's pie. All set for the weekend!

Wursthaus used to be THE place to go if you wanted to find that cut of meat or speciality product that you just couldn't find anywhere else. Nowadays it's doesn't quite give you the same feeling of Awe. With that said, it's still a useful boutique foodies sanctuary where good real food rules, albeit at a premium.

Lovely place exelent section of meat and one of the few (if not the only) place to get Robbins Island wagyu. Great selection of cold meats, hot smoked ocean trout is a favourite.
