A good venue for a meet up with mates. Food menu is diverse and very tasty. It is Asian fusion but well done. Bar prices may be a little steep but it been a while since we did pub grub. Not my everyday place but an enjoyable place to meet up.

The rooftop bar has great facilities. There was a delay in delivering the food. There were a couple of functions at the same time. Maybe they were not organised, even though we had to preorder and pay for the food. The staff were friendly but unfortunately the issue with the food affected the function. There was limited food selection for the roof top bar so most were entres but still the food was late. If it wasnt for the food issue, it is a great place for functions.

First impressions were fantastic, all staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooftop is so beautiful! Such a great view and it’s lovely up sit in the sun! The check I process is easy and simple with QR codes on the tables. All staff were wearing masks properly which is great for safety. Love the seating upstairs, classy and comfortable! Do yourself a favour and come along and check out the rooftop! You will not be disappointed.

That is as a surprise for me to be in classic pub and get a menu with beautiful Asian foods . Venue was beautiful , food was awesome and service was perfect. The skybar is a good venue foe those evening drinks with friends or colleagues. We recently attended a networking event and everything was organised nicely. Drinks serving staff were quick and prompt and the canapes were good as well.

From the outside they look like your standard hotel (bar) but on the menu they actually serve south east Asian food. Price is a little steep for the food but overall they are decent. The nasi goreng had the wok hei (charcoal) flavour although very faintly. Portion is generous too. The Rendang was soft and close to be authentic in terms of the flavour. Food - 8 Service - 8 Vibe - 8 Price - $$$

What a gem! We stumbled upon this place in search of coffee at 6 pm which is a feat given most cafes close by 4 pm. It appears to be a regular hotel style pub from the outside but the setting is unlike any other pub. The service is perhaps the highlight as a nice gentleman went over the entire menu with us. While we had only wanted coffee we thought to also try a Laksa which came highly recommended, and we are so glad that we did. One of the most authentic Laksha dish I have had in Melbourne and the portions were huge, good enough for 2 people to share. We realised later that their Laksas are made with the original recipe from Laksa King (Melbourne's best Laksa since forever). Can't wait to go back and try rest of the items on the menu. If you are looking for authentic Asian cuisine in a bar setting, this is the place for you.

Delicious food, friendly service. A bit pricey but absolutely worth it. The mains come without the sides, so thinking price wise, need to consider that chips, mash and salads are ordered separately. DOWN FROM A PREVIOUS 5 STAR RATING. I have been going to the Clarendon Hotel for over a year for Friday lunches but I am considering stopping after NEW management have done the following: - Removed the lunch specials - Refuse to split bills. The 'no split bill' policy is ridiculous this day and age. It takes a matter of seconds to process multiple payments. It is important for new management to realise that lunches in that area are usually business lunches so it makes life very difficult when 1 person needs to pay the entire bill for their work colleagues.

A "posh casual experience" this place has great tasty food both from an upmarket pub and from an Asian fusion perspective. The place has beautiful decor, the tables are exquisite with a feeling of looking at shiny luxe polished wood. The chefs work with fresh ingredients and make art with their food. The vegetables are cooked to perfection, they are brightly coloured, with a light crunch and hot to the touch. We really enjoyed the staff sense of humour here as they left little you dinosaur in their plant from a customer who misplaced it. They cater to people who prefer their food gluten free or vegan friendly. Yum!

I booked the Clarendon Hotel for my 30th birthday party and I could not have been more thrilled that I did. The event took place on the top floor Sky Bar. From the very beginning, pre-organisation to the actual party itself, everything was so easy and smooth. Snow was so lovely to work with and her and the team catered for all my requests and was so flexible in food and drink choices, set up and so on. The service on the night was outstanding. The waitstaff were very attentive to all the guests and made sure that everyone was happy. The food was absolutely incredible! We had a barbecue and canapé event and this was perfect! Portion sizes were huge and everything tasted fresh and delicious. I have never had so many people compliment me on a party before. From the food to the venue itself. And the city views are just the icing on the cake. Honestly was the best night and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great venue.

On NYE when another pub on Clarendon St let us down with a booking, the Clarendon took us in and made every effort to welcome our group of 10. REVIEWED AS UBER HOME DELIVERY Ordered dinner for two on a Saturday night. Very good quality Asian cuisine. Food packaged carefully for "no-spill" delivery. All menu items were available (which is a pleasant surprise for UberEats ordeing on the weekend !) We were easily able to select a mix of vegetarian and meat-based dishes from the menu. Standout meat dish was the beef rendang - a modern fusion take on the dish with tomatoes. The fish laksa was made very very high quality ingredients but was let down slightly by the thinness of the liquid. Vegie dumpplings were tasty and firm and the harumaki roll was delicious. The lunch menu here is great value for money compared to other choices in this area. Their kitchen is reportedly run by Laksa King and so their laksas don't disappoint! Portion size is very generous. The ambience and staff were lovely. I'm not a Laksa expert by any means but found the Vegetarian Laksa a little lacklustre for my tastes. The flavour just didn't excite me like other Laksa's I've had and I've heard such good things about Laksa King (they run the Kitchen at The Clarendon.) This was my first visit here because my partner was craving Laksa, apparently it's run by Laksa King which is quite popular. Let me run you through our orders: Fried Kuay Teow, Laksa combination, a glass of wine and a mocha. The total came to $60 which was a little outrageous in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with the food, service or cleanliness of the restaurant. As you can see, everything looks delicious. However, for the portion it really is, I wouldn't think twice about coming here. A meal that feeds two costing $60, you are better off going to a cheap buffet. Unless it's for a drink or coffee to catch up with old friends, or you have money to burn - this isn't an ideal restaurant for the average Joe.

My flight was cancelled back to Sydney last night. This hotel was one of the few hotels that still had rooms available. Upon arrival I was concerned as it just looks like a pub and not an actual hotel. My fears were soon eliminated as soon as I was greeted and shown to my room. The room was extremely modern, large and clean. I ended up having a great Asian meal in the restaurant and a great nights sleep. Overall a great hotel to stay at backed by wonderful service.

Dropped in for dinner with the family on a Friday night at about 6:30pm at Clarendon Station. Didn't need to book but once word gets out how delicious the food is that will change. We were surprised by the Asian fusion menu, we were expecting pub grub. The food was so good that we'll go back even though they have those horribly uncomfortable generic french cafe chairs. The staff were really friendly and so attentive it was annoying (continuously filling water glasses and clearing empty plates before everyone was finished eating) but we put that down to them just being newly opened and overly excited.

The recent reno is certainly impressive but they haven't quite got it right just yet. We went for drinks in the skybar. There's an amazing view as you exit the lift but then bare walls and pokies which don't add to the vibe. The main inside area could almost be really cool but it ends up feeling like a cafeteria without food; it needs a good interior decorator to add the finishing touches. The outside is better but still needs work. The restaurant downstairs looks much better than the skybar but we haven't tried it yet. The tables outside on the street would be great except they allow smoking.
