Love their pastries! Almond croissant and torsadine are a few of my favs. So glad I could order them via Menulog for an early morning breakfast delivery. A pity you can't order their lovely tarts or cakes on the app, but I was surprised they gave me a choc tart with my order! Thank you :)

Bononia makes the best real Italian gelati in Adelaide. Prices are aligned to all other gelati places ( $6.90 two scoops, not sure why the lady below claims to have paid $7.90 for one scoop??), but quality of ingredients is better.

Truly excellent gelato - my favourite in Adelaide. Great flavours and very reasonable prices considering the quality. When I've been in, the service has always been very prompt and friendly. It would seem that Bononia is run by an Italian family, and they're doing a great job of bringing the Italian atmosphere, and tradition of quality, to Adelaide.

One of the best places for gelato I've had the pleasure of visiting. The gelato is hand-made with high quality ingredients resulting in simply wonderful gelato. The flavours change periodically which adds a nice element of anticipation every time we go there (my favourites are the pistachio and the strega!). This is a family-owned business that is run with love and great attention to detail which you can really sense. The owners are always welcoming and warm. We love it!

Always take a walk to Bononia after dinner in Melbourne St to have gelato. The pistachio is very subtle, the chocolate is very rich and the gelato is so creamy.

(Translated) An ice cream shop (and not only) fantastic conduct with skillful skill and a lot of sympathy from Ugo, geologist, bikers .. much more. Inside BONOMIA is a true explosion of color and taste where it is very easy to be greedy. From artisanal gelato in the most varied tastes (I remember Black Widow among others) to the many cakes that tickle sight and palate. His coffee is very Italian, (and for those who are 9000 km from home they are unforgettable things) and also for this reason it is a cult and meeting place for all the large Italian community of which Ugo himself is a leading member. I always have a strong desire / dream to return to find Ugo and all the Friends of Adelaide, who are indelibly in my heart. (Original) Una gelateria( e non solo) fantastica condotta con abile maestria e tantissima simpatia da Ugo, geologo, bikers.. molto altro ancora. All'interno BONOMIA è una vera esplosione di colore e di gusto dove è molto facile essere golosi. Dal gelato artigianale nei gusti più disparati (ricordo fra gli altri il Black Widow) alle tante cake che solleticano vista e palato. Il suo caffè è Italianissimo, (e per chi si trova a 9000 km da casa sono cose indimenticabili) ed anche per questo è un luogo cult e di incontro per tutta la numerosa comunità italiana di cui lo stesso Ugo è membro di spicco. Ho sempre forte in me il desiderio/sogno di tornare a trovare Ugo e tutti gli Amici di Adelaide, che sono indelebilmente nel mio cuore.
