A 24/7 operation that's no frills and smooth. Their special creations are worth going to try/see and I believe their dessert section in general is underrated versus trendy contemporaries. Most people are familiar with their standard menu of schnitzel and pies and yes, this is solid, but check out the specials like the burger donut and be pleasantly surprised. I would go for dessert but found the meals a bit on the small side for the price. Fresh and well cooked schnitzel and salad, just.... lacked something. The cream filled chocolate donut and vili dog are classics.... but....for the third time- GO FOR THE PATISSERIE.

This place has the best food for comfort, I order them on uber eats all the time and because I have an inconsistent sleep schedule I really appreciate them being open 24/7! My favourite things to get from there lately has been the beesting donut, chips and gravy (the gravy is so good) and the classic pasty. Highly recommend!

This place never fails to disappoint every time I visit. Last evening I went there with my daughter just after 9 pm. We were visiting for the third time and found the place absolutely full. The young gentleman (Clive) who took our order recognized me from my previous visit and wanted to know if I had returned to try out the pie floater with the lamb pie. The roast pork and the burger that we ordered were delicious and the portions were generous! On finishing our meal, we had the orange and almond cake accompanied by a chai latte and a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate served in a mug is delicious and great value for money. The orange and almond cake is the perfect accompaniment for the hot chocolate. Absolutely brilliant and enjoyable dining experience 👍👍👍👍👍

A great South Australian icon plain and simple. With a vast menu there is something for eveeyone. My favourite feed is just their traditional standard pie, pasty and sausage roll. Ive been eating them for going on 30 year and they are still just as good now as they were when I was a kid. Their pastry they use is amazing and the sasuage roll has got to be one of the best in the world. And with Vili's exporting globaly how can it not be one of the best sausage rolls. Top 10 at least. One more thing too their bee sting doughnut is fncken amazing and a must try. All in all if your a tourist or a local you should get in there and try the Vili's taste of success. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

♿️⚠️ door is a bit heavy and a bit heavy, not sure if there is a disabled toilet. Tables/chairs can fit a wheelchair up to the table though. Counter is quite high. My god the best pies in the world from Villi's, have been away for 4 years, used to go here heaps, just came back and tried them again with an FUIC and was back in love. Staff are always easy going, happy to help. Side note if you haven't had the chips and gravy, definitely go it they are awesome!

Very convenient for me to have a 24 hour cafe. Lots of things on menu available and pretty clean. Most of the staff are very nice. One of them not so nice, a little rough around the edges. Villi was the guy who reinvented meat pies here in Australia replacing dull, lifeless pies containing mostly gravy and a little bit of mine with his own brand of pie filled with chunks of steak and chicken and cooked in his own blends of spices. As the bakery became more popular the Cafe was built both as a cafeteria for his own staff and also to serve the general public. The result is a venue that's open 24/7 and makes you feel great to be South Australian. In the past I've taken guests there from out of town to enjoy a pie floater Also a good place to stop in with the family for a casual evening meal... good on the wallet and lots of options to feed even the fussiest kids.

Great service, the lady was amazing! Came in for some chips and I was VERY surprised with how well they were, especially compared to other places that specialise in them!!! They had nice flavour to them as if they had been cooked with other deep fried foods (probably fry a lot in that oil being opened 24hrs a day!) Place was very busy but service was still quick. Gravy was generic wholesaler gravy though! Portion was great for a small... though they charged extra for gravy on the side (it's a preference as I don't like chips getting too soggy, although I do understand they give more gravy this way).

I've been meaning to come to this famous Cafe for many years and finally made it on the Adelaide 500 weekend. I only tried a mince and cheese pie (absolute kiwi classic but not as easy to come by in South Australia) and chips. Chips were good, just a bit salty for my taste. Pie tasted nice, but the filling had a gelatinous texture. The ambience is what makes this place special, it's got a great retro vibe and is filled with people who love pies and chips. I live within a stones throw of a couple of places that make a superior pie and baked goods for similar prices to Vili bakery but they obviously don't capture the same place in people's hearts

It's great. The variety of food would surprise most people. Spaghetti Bolognese or a steak are available but so are an array of the pastries and cakes that you expect. I sat on a padded comfortable chair and it wasn't over heated as some places are. Toilets are not award winning but there's nothing wrong with them. Staff are really friendly and despite my modest $22 spend I felt like my needs were being well attended. It's open 24hours a day apparently so you can imagine that during the week especially late at night this is probably the best place to get food for many kilometres.

Great place to eat any time of the day. Always delicious food. However, perhaps Villis needs to take a look at their staff sickness policy. Given we are in a Covid pandemic, its prudent to ensure all citizens be more cautious when showing signs of coughs and sniffles. One staff member spent the whole time i was there coughing. At the moment we’re all on high alert and when preparing food its even more important to be vigilant. If you are sick, stay home !!! Even if it’s just a cold....it’s still off putting right now. An immigrant from Hungary who arrived with nothing, Vili was known for his generous work for more than 50 charities. This South Australian icon will be sadly missed.

Watched chinese tourists trying to drink fizzy drink from a bottle, putting whole top of bottle inside mouth and wondering why it was hard to drink. O well I have never eaten chicken feet .....Villi pasties best ever, the goulash pie an artistic creation. Never eat dessert so cant comment on pastries/ cake, but others seem to enjoy them. You can buy regular meals apart from meat pies and cakes here. Also beer etc only reason for four stars not five is it is so popular usually crowded and parks hard to get . Open 24/7 nice staff.

A number system for service would be good as it is so popular it gets really busy. Fantastic food though. Try the schnitzel with gravy and chips. The gravy is 5 food groups on its own. Yum.
