Bright and spacious cafe. Pet friendly as well. Usually busy. They have a variety of selections on the menu. Quite healthy options. Nicely presented on the plate. But the flavour combination is a bit bland and weirdly paired for me.. Good try for being experimental. The iced drinks were too diluted as well.. Portion size is decent though, in line with the pricing.

This place absolutely rocks. The secret of this place is the food. Really special & authentic Turkish/ Lebanese/ Moroccan brunch & breakfast dishes. Also some very healthy dishes with loads of vegetables. They do offer regular breakfasts as well like pancakes, toast, eggs. This dish is the harissa smoked salmon, avocado with a delicious beetroot hummus and side salad with a minty yogurt. Next time i will get with some eggs!! Soooo good

CI was my local cafe during a 7 week stay in Adelaide and never failed to disappoint. Everything I tried on the menu was exceptional but highlights were the miso eggplant and the tomato eggplant bake. The coffee was excellent and the service attentive and friendly. Can highly recommend.

The vibe here is nice & the service was good! But the meals we chose were a bit eh. I had the Turkish poached eggs with yoghurt, dill, parsley, and pita. It ended up basically being 2 poached eggs on tzatziki. Tasted good but just a bit odd. The juices were really nice though!

Can get busy at times as it's very popular during peak hours but the food still comes out quick. Love it and will keep going back. Sitting outside is beautiful when the weather is nice. Had the eggs ranchero and french toast. The eggs ranchero is vibrant with bold flavours that mesh well together. The french toast is not overtly sweet and has a nice mix of fruit. Will definitely return as they have a wide variety of dishes on their menu.

Busy place. The team were friendly and efficient. Obviously a dedicated coffee place where they had quite a range. I tried the cold brew. Their brekafast/brunch menu was very impressive too. Food was colourful and stacked high. We had the salmon & pea cakes and baked eggs. Finished off with chocolate salted caramel tart and a raspberry & white chocolate mousse. Not as sweet as it sounds which was a perfect finish to our meal.

Coffee Institute provides great tasting coffee roasted on-site. The all day menu is extensive, ranging from sweeter offerings such as pancakes and waffles or fruit through to savoury dishes with vegetarians catered for. Service is fast and friendly even when busy. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Highly recommended for coffee or casual dining.

They were really full so we sat outdoors and they gave us blankets which was lovely. The banana bread is probably one of the best I’ve had in Adelaide - it was $8 so I was surprised when it looked so fancy! It was moist and fluffy (could be fluffier, but that’s just my preference), and it wasn’t dense. The passionfruit butter was a nice complement. The pulled pork Benedict ($18) was really good! The pulled pork was tender and flavourful. However, the poached eggs were slightly overdone and i think they put too much vinegar into the water they used to boil the eggs - the egg whites were almost slightly rubbery. That could be me nitpicking though. Great prices, service, and food - I’ll be back!

Great place to grab a tasty and healthy salad 🥗 for lunch - the only slight neg was the A/C wasn’t on or broken, it was a 40°+ day 🤯😰 (was the left side of the cafe) - it quickly became quite stuffy and unpleasant once the café filled up...

Always very busy here, so it's Important to book in advance for even just a couple of people. The coffee is consistently good and the food is in a world of its own, completely unique with influences from all around the world. They have really nailed there breakfast and brunch selections. The shop is also very cyclist friendly and has a bench for people to sit if they are by themselves just coming past.

Service was quick, friendly and attentive, even on a very busy Sunday morning. Only issue is the coffee is not good, and considering ‘coffee’ is mentioned in the name, quite disappointed. Last three coffees, the soy milk had been overheated, and curdled/split.

OMG what a place, this was the first time we came here and discovered it after being years in the city. Firstly, their coffee was really good we tried a Flat white and Iced Coffee, both were perfect. Now to the food, there were so many Vegetarian options with cuisine style from all over the world, spanish, greek, middle eastern, indian, australian and many more. We tried the Spanish Omelette, Mushroom Medley and Goat cheese bagel. Spanish Omelette was delicious, all elements complimented each other and the sauce that was all over the dish had the perfect hint of sour, umami flavor. Mushroom Medley was suprisingly better than what we were expecting, the mushrooms cooked to perfection, with their tomato and homemade zaatar dressing was just the best combo I have ever had with their sourdough bread and mushrooms. Lastly their toasted bagel, goat cheese, walnut, mapel syrup, pumpkin seeds, do I need to say anything more for you to try it, perfect balance of sweet and salty/sour. This place is a gem and will definitely be coming back to try their other dishes.

I arrived Saturday morning and the staff were super attentive and friendly. By the time my friend arrived the place was filling up. We ordered the hotcake and the French toast and were not waiting that long for the meals to arrive. They both looked divine! Instagram worthy, but flavour and texture wise both our dishes were average. A large part of the hotcake was overcooked, whilst my French toast was a bit too soft for my liking. Hey that's my personal preference though! They did overcharge us, but we had to be somewhere so we didn't pay that much attention at the time, but thought it was more than we expected. We did go back a considerable time later because we were pretty convinced that a mistake occurred and it did. They apologised and refunded the amount. I am giving them 3 stars for the service for sure. The staff were lovely, and it's not their fault that the food was a little underwhelming. I will give them another go, as maybe they were having an 'off' day.

Coffee was amazing, I wasn't in love with my breakfast choice, but that was more due to poor selection on my behalf than preparation or food quality. Well, I have been here many times and I do love the atmosphere - especially outside (its nice!)! I have had great coffees and great meals MOST often! I have to say that yesterday just didn't quite make the mark, BUT don't write them off just on this one occasion. The only critique I have yesterday was the Corn & Zuchinni Fritters. I have already passed this along to the staff, so they are already aware. And thats actually why I didn't downgrade their stars much because when I mentioned I wasn't completely happy - they listened, they asked questions and they showed initiative to give a better result from that. At the end of the day, I appreciated that the most. I can't just eat and say "it was GREAT" and then turn around and say less than that. I mean I could've done that - but I don't actually think that is fair. So - here it is, my only little negative point. On this one occasion, the plate looked AMAZING - but tasted & looked sadly a little undercooked. Usually bacon can cover many sins, but even on this occasion that was unable to hold cover for the meal. When fritters are done real good, with all the toppings and avocado and egg on top - its a rather beautiful dish! So - lets be real. Things happen sometimes, so lets not dismiss this great cafe on one small thing. Lets keep supporting and looking after our local businesses! I'll be back again for those fritters and I am sure they will be outstanding again!

The staff were exceptionally friendly; as for the cafe it has plenty of seating inside and out, with available parking down the side street. We did move from our original table but this should be something a cafe can deal with. They lost our order, drink arrived well after our meals after a request for where they were. The meals were not as discribed on the menu and for a place that states on the menu "no menu changes" on the menu I think this is piss poor. Mine was delicious in flavor however my partner did not eat theirs because it was a horrible texture. The coffee was far from great, long black was bitter. However the tea, English breakfast, was ok. Most of he staff were friendly however the one who forgot to bring us cups, menus (and threw them on the table and walked away and I suspect was responsible for looking our order needs some retraining or work in a different industry...

Service was impeccable, the staff were knowledgeable and polite. Coffee was average, milk had separated and was just lukewarm. Meals were way too fussy. Sure they look good in pictures but what's that worth if they have no flavour. I had the 'portobello' mushroom dish and the amount of lentils nearly took up 3/4 of the bowl with only 2 small mushrooms and some par-cooked, un-seasoned butternut, 1 piece of which was the sliced top of the pumpkin with the stem still in not appetising in the slightest. All in all I paid for a bowl of lentils with undercooked pumpkin, a small sprinkle of feta and 2 small mushrooms. Sweet potato fries however were delicious. We probably won't return unfortunately as my girlfriends corn and zucchini fritters were okay, but a tad tasteless too. Good food doesn't need all the trimmings good food should shine on it's own.

Went for breakfast with the family and couple of friends, kids were looked after with pencils and colouring paper (oh and the yummy food, kept them quiet too) eggs were poached to perfection, bacon is wickidly smoked. Im afraid i was too busy keeping kids under control to take pics of what we ordered and the time-lapse-retro theme the place has which is really cool. Definitely one we will try to make a regular coffee stop. Staff were all really cool too, happy and helpful the hole time, even though it got busy, so recommend you dont sleep in too late on a Sunday morning. Beat the rush.
