Came in on a lazy Saturday morning, a great place to sit back and watch the world go by. Coffee was smooth right to the last drop, Breaky brioche had a good flavour combination but was a little too salty, it would be great to have something in the burger to break that up a bit.

Buzzing cafe right in the heart of the city with an amazing selection of pastries that I’m sure you’re going to walk out with. Friendly table service with a great selection for breakfast. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the serving size was more then generous.

Great atmosphere. Booths were a bit tight on space. I had Eggs Benedict which only came with one slice of sour dough, or really needed two slice to go with the eggs! Lovely service and good arrived quickly. Delicious coffee!

Wait about 30min after ordering and there’s only two tables of people here. Poached eggs were over cooked. Ordered hot salmon plate however the salmon was as cold as freezer. Won’t go again.

Stopped by Public CBD for brunch on a Saturday. Not entirely sure if Saturday attracts a crowd (Clipsal was on the same weekend), it was quiet and nice to relax without the usual weekday morning rush. I frequent Public for their coffee and pastries. I enjoyed brunch, food was great and highly recommend trying dishes with an interesting twist. Staff were polite, fun and attentive. Water was topped up and our waitress kept us on point to order food as we got caught up chatting. To the negatives, two of the four items we wanted to try didn't have the ingredients to make up the dish. The kitchen didn't have Salmon skin to to make the chips in their Sea-Scram. The pumpkin scones was absent from Eggs Benedict. Also, the croissant didn't have the usual generous filling of custard (featured below). Custard was piped on both ends with little filling towards the center. Not sure what happened this particular Saturday. Aside from that, coffee is consistently good and both mushroom and salmon dishes were sensational.

Avo on toast was great, though I struggled to cut through the very ends of the bread (even with a steak knife) as it was rock hard! Coffee was good. Staff were good. Rating down from 5 stars as it's a little exxy.

First time with my brother here. We had full breakfast and French toast on brioche with poached pear maple bacon was delicious. Beans on full breakfast was a little hard. Would have been nice if it was a little more soft. Overall enjoyable. Lovely service 😊👍 Thank you.

There really isn't much to say about Public Cafe, the staff are amazing and the food is phenomenal. They seem to think they're a "business cafe" but I think they're more than that. To all you young people out there who are intimidated by the large amount of smart looking middle aged men sipping on their double shot caps, don't be afraid to have a good time.

What a great place to have a coffee or bite to eat. The team were friendly and attentive. We sat outside and enjoyed the glorious Adelaide autumnal weather. I seriously recommend the fish tacos (taste better than they sound) and the triple cooked chips (fries for the Americans). A plus was that we were able to grab a parking spot right in front on a Weekday. Ah, gotta love Adelaide and gotta love Public Caffe

I would absolutely recommend this place. I went in half an hour before closing and they were super friendly even though they obviously already started cleaning up. And the cappuccino with soy milk is so yummy!

Good breakfast but they know how to ruin a cup of tea. For the tea you get a little pot of your own. Unfortunately for some reason the posh little teabag they provide is left in the cup, not in the pot brewing where it's meant to be so you have to wait ages if you like your tea any stronger than brown water. I don't need to see the posh little teabag. If you want to show off use leaves, otherwise put the bag in the pot THEN the water so I can drink the tea with some flavour while it is still hot.

Nice! Hmmm ... tres trendy with its raw concrete pillars (that have had its imperfections filled in so as not to be too industrial). Why is the granola on display in a plastic container then served in that same plastic? Not on! The green bowl is a treat though. And the coffee is smooth and full of flavour.

We were acknowledged at the restaurant then this person asked another to guide us to a table - no acknowledgement she just walked and stood in front of a table - she only turned around when we had not followed. No smile, no hello - it put me off from the get go. The meals were small and my linguini lacked taste. Wish I had gone to Crack opposite Public.

More of a review for the Public Pop Up at Westpac House. Manned mostly by Sean and a rotating band of friendly helpers, Public serves up great coffee and tasty morsels that are hard to resist. Sean has a great rapport with the customers and is always engaging and smiling, even when it's cold and blustery in the Westpac House courtyard. Worth popping into if you're walking past and can't get to Public on Franklin Street.
