This is one of the best pastry/tart places i have ever been. The tarts are rich creamy and so delicious. They have the perfect crispy pastry and workers were very friendly and welcoming. I would definably recommend this shop to anyone who is in seek of a good and tasty tart, I absolutely loved them, thank you saudade!

Saudade is the place to go for pastel de nata (Portugese tarts). The perfectly scorched Portuguese tarts are filled with a smooth, rich custard and encased with crisp layers of golden puff pastry. All baked on site and are undoubtedly the best in Adelaide. Go on, you know you want it....

Beautiful Portuguese tarts! Pastéis de Nata as they call them in Portugal. Tried the real thing the last year while on my holiday in Lisboa, in iconic pasticeria Pastéis de Belém. These are the real thing, the real taste of beautiful Portugal in Adelaide. Highly recommended 👌😋

An indulgent treat worth the calories!! The custard is so rich, smooth and creamy, and the crust is nicely buttery and flakey, but also not oily and not hard at all. A little expensive at $3+ (I think) for each tart but you can taste the passion and love put into it!! Also the cinnamon adds such a nice flavour to it, so definitely opt for cinnamon!

This is the second place in Australia that makes and sell amazing Portuguese tarts. Many places claim to sell and make Portuguese tarts but they are not tasty at all but these guys have nailed it. I now only eat Portuguese tarts from Saudade. I have recommended this places to so many people and they all loved it. Do yourself a favour and check out this place, you won't regret it

This is a must try location. The Portuguese tarts are so delicious and flavorsome. The crunch of the pastry and the warm custard are hard to resist, once you have experienced the simple pleasure of this all day treat. I suggest grabbing a six pack for the family or dining in and experiencing them straight from the oven. The smell and theatre are well worth the trip.

The tarts are absolutely fantastic! They are so good. I get them as a little treat for myself sometimes, and have bought them to share with friends and colleagues at work. Anyone that gives this place less than five stars has issues. It’s been 3 months since i have had one of these Portuguese tarts in Adelaide and now every time I come across a Portuguese tart I’m taken back to the first bite into a warm crispy Saudade tart. Great job guys you’ve a absolutely set the standard way too high for me. No Portuguese tart comes close.

Plagiarised from another post: Anyone who gives this places less than 5 Stars has issues... Specialty of Saudade is Portuguese Custard Tarts. The filling is sweet, smooth and delicious. The pastry is warm and crisp. The ladies make dozens of tarts all day long. The coffee is also great. Get a coffee and tart combo along with a six pack of tarts. One tart is never enough and you’ll want to share the deliciousness with your friends and family.

We were excited to visit this cafe today, but concerned it may not live up to what is found in Portugal. Well let me tell you, Saudade is the 100% REAL DEAL, made by a team of lovely staff, and tasting exactly like youre walking the streets of this beautiful country eating the local pasteis de nata themselves. Thanks for opening an eatery like this, it reminds us of a special place, and most importantly the food IS authentic - we cant wait to come back! 💯🙌
