If you're after a wonderful cafe then 1770 Marina Cafe is the place to go. Most delicious and fresh food with amazing presentation and thoughtful touches. The option of sitting outside by the water was the best way to start the morning with a unique seating area, a beautiful view and we were lucky enough to see dolphins! Not to mention all the staff were super friendly and lovely, Highly recommend.

Coffee was fine, no problems. Asked for skinny milk and found out it was full cream...ask for mince pies (sweet Christmas ones on the counter top under a glass cover TO CLARIFY) not heated, so they heated them...also the filling was totally overcooked. All of which you expect being served by a bunch of kids with no customer service experience who obviously don't listen. The cakes appeared old judging by the cracked icing.... I guess with little competition and running your business with kids you can afford to be mediocre.

Great flavours and the best gelato around. Highlights were caramilk, Ferraro and apple pie. Salted caramel popcorn was delicious flavour, but I didn’t love the popcorn in the gelato.

Delicious coffee! We were skeptical walking into what we thought was a fish and chip shop but had seen other reviews raving about the coffee and decided to give it a go, it did not disappoint. Prime example of don’t judge a book by its cover! Take the coffee down the back and enjoy the view.

Called in twice during our recent trip to 1770. First time was for an iced Mocha & an iced latte, both of which were really nice. We called in a second time after having the vanilla slice recommended to us by Neil from the Larc tour. The slice did not disappoint.

Its 1770 not the cafes of Brisbane or Sydney. If your expectations are high you will be disappointed . The food service and the staff's attitude making you feel welcome is 5 star along with there coffee and lemon tart there vanilla slice is awesome. We had breakfast here on our last day in town. If the weather is nice then head out to the tables by the water for a scenic view and breeze with your coffee. The cafes in Agnes Water and 1770 have a thing about their vanilla slices. The central qld slice off we called it. We can see why these guys took it out in 2018!!

Hard to rate. As my beef with onion jam burger was great. However the ‘gluten free’ chicken burger for my wife. Was in fact a gluten free bun only, with a crumbed non gluten free chicken patty. Fortunately she asked to check. And it was suggested that some people actually just wanted the gluten free bun! It was replaced with chicken pieces. And fortunately she is not coeliac but does cause an allergic reaction. All fine. At least we could get a meal at 1.30. The other places in town had closed to new customers as they were full.

I was looking forward to Eggs Benny as it had good reviews, unfortunately for me it was the worst I've had, purely as it it had what seemed like half a litre of sauce poured over it all. Some may like this, I say sometimes less is more, I couldn't find my eggs or toast under it all and spent 5 minutes trying to scrape it off, ruined it for me.

Absolutely wonderful food. My breakfast omelette was bigger than my plate, and was stuffed with tasty ingredients and made with love. We took our food to some old tables at the waterfront and enjoyed the serenity of the background hum of the boat harbour. Great coffee too. If you want a shiny cafe with trendy baristas then stay in Melbourne, but if you want wholesome, terrific food at a good price then come here.

New to the area, I visited for the first time, and asked for two coffees. Specifying one needed to be really strong. The coffees arrived and it was that strong that I stayed awake half that night it was awesome. Well done. They certainly delivered what I asked. The service was really fast. Their food range is suitable for vegetarians health conscious and the good old yummy food. There is a great selection of meals at great prices. Their cakes, biscuits and sweets are amazing. I would recommend this place for all types of people. While I sat there and reviewed the 1770 Marina Cafe, I watched as backpackers and tourists came and ordered off the menu and was amazed at the fast courteous service. The comments from the diners were excellent. The lasagna and arichini balls are to die for. I recommend this place for a coffee, a meal, for a quick bite to eat or a long leisurely lunch. It is open from 6:30 a.m. Thank you for the awesome hospitality. We will definitely be back.

At first you don't realise that the outdoor seating by the water is also part of the Marina Cafe but once you do it's a beautiful spot to enjoy a quick meal or coffee by the water. The shop feels like your local takeway or deli and once you place your order in the shop, they give you a buzzer that lets you know once your order is ready. Coffee was excellent and the food we ordered simple but delicious. Prices were fair and good sized portions. My boy also enjoyed feeding the fish, which you can buy some fish food for $2.

Don't be fooled by the outside appearance this is a gem of a café with lots of home made delicious cakes and tarts, friendly staff who can make the best personally customised bacon and egg muffin i have eaten and good coffee at the temperature you ask for. Important for us who enjoy a hot cappuccino not a luke warm one. We rode from Agnes Waters and will return each day whilst we are here. It is that good.
