Absolutely loved this café. Located on Margaret Street in Brisbane, they serve awesome coffees and a range of breakfast and lunch menus. On arrival, sparkling water is served which is great. I've ordered the roasted mushroom and it's amazing. Delicious with a generous amount of mushrooms, avocado puree and spinach. The iced latte is easily one of the best in the city, with an amazing roasted aroma of the beans and sweet balance from the milk served perfectly. Ambience is lively and bustling with the morning crowd having their cup of coffee.

Serious about their coffee, Coffee Anthology serve a sample of ground beans so you can enjoy the aroma of each brewed cup or espresso. Well informed and super helpful servers. Great breakfast selection. Thoroughly deserves it's high rating!

I love their mocha with almond milk (unfortunately, they don't offer coconut milk) and croissant benedict with avocado. They accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express (AMEX) without any silly surcharges (very important to me!). They offer friendly, prompt service with a smile. Prices are reasonable given the food and coffee quality. Downsides are they don't have a coconut milk option, they are closed Sundays, and the tables are very close together so privacy is limited. Everything else is great. I will be back :)

Amazing coffee, well-brewed fragrant Earl Grey tea. Very efficient & friendly staff. For breakfast that is a bit different from the norm but so delicious, this is the place to go. We ordered the Forest Mushrooms with eggs and the Avocado on Toast with eggs. Both were very tasty and the 63degC eggs were perfectly cooked. This cafe is obviously the place to also go for takeaway coffee as there was a queue waiting for their morning hit.

It might be a little overpriced considering the portion of the food, but due to the central location and the good quality of the food I was convinced. The croissant benedict was so soft and tasty. the dish in the second picture was beautifully decorated but it was not really for my personal taste because of the beetroot paste that was a little too sour. But the cold brew coffee is always great.

The coffee was good but the food pretty average. The prices were pretty standard (~$20); make sure you don't get a seat in the hallway as it's stuffy and feels like you're sitting in the lobby of an office building - which you are. The coffee is great, both the Cappuccino and the cold drip were well done and used excellent beans. We got the Miso scrambled eggs with salmon, and the mushrooms with scrambled eggs instead of the usual 63° eggs. The eggs had a hint of Miso which was great, but apart from that the dishes were very ordinary.

Great place to have a coffee and order a nice meal. My only suggestion is to have an option to be able to have the egg cooked more. 63°C eggs are very soft and for my wife current situation she can have soft eggs so she went the meal without eggs.

Loved it! We had coffee here two days in a row and it was gorgeous. The only disappointment was when I tried to order regular scrambled eggs for breakfast and was told it wasn’t possible and that they only had miso eggs made up. Regular scrambled eggs should be a staple and a possibility for any cafe! Switched up my order and got the croissant Benedict which was awesome.

I have croissant with egg Benedict and salmons. Latter art is very pretty on my flat white. The flavor was light in croissant but I like the crumb of almond. You can eat the croissant with salmons together. The staff were very friendly and careful.

Delicious spot for brunch and artisan coffee in the CBD. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the coffee blends on rotation, so don't be afraid to ask! I recommend trying the house brew if you're a fan of filter coffee.

This place serves only a limited selection of food, but both dishes we had (the four mushroom omlette, and the savoury mince) were superbly done. The four mushrooms were distinctly different and created a surprisingly complementary medeley of flavors. You get to choose from three espresso coffee types and three brewed coffee types. They all tend towards the milder flavoured sweeter coffees which is my preference, but I noted before I came here that most the bad reviews are around "tasteless" or weak coffees. I don't get people who like their coffee so bitter it obliterates the more subtle flavours, so I really enjoyed the coffee here and appreciated they had a few choices. Fully recommend this cafe.

As a tea drinker, I'm normally hesitant to order anything other than Earl Grey at a cafe. Most cafes burn any tea that isn't a black one, but I really wanted some sencha once I saw it on their menu. I was nervous when they brought the tea out, but it was perfect. It wasn't too hot nor had it brewed for too long, so the tea wasn't burnt. First time in years having tea at a cafe that wasn't bitter. Definitely coming back. Staff are a delight and the croissants are delish.

A spectacular start to the day Coffee Anthology in Brisbane. The image unfortunately does not do this place justice... Using top quality equipment, techniques and product, I am very happy with my first visit here. I enjoyed an espresso and flattie from Panama, thanks to the reformatory coffee lab and was excited to see other offerings from suppliers like small batch coffee roasters, industry beans, axil coffee roasters, dukes coffee, seasonal coffee and padre coffee. Clearly this is a market leader not only in Brisbane, but dare I say, Australia wide.

Cute little cafe sheltered enough from the weather. Loved the brekky roll, nice thick pieces of delicious bacon. One of our long time absolute favourite coffee shops in Brisbane. Adam and the team are without a doubt pioneers in Brisbane’s thriving coffee scene. Rotating single origins, multiple filter options and my wife’s personal fav is their house blend. Food is so well priced and absolutely delicious. Lovely service - the staff explained the coffee beautifully and helped me out with suggestions for the food. I appreciated having the option of three coffees on filter with such different flavour profiles. The mushrooms were delicious, and the puree on the toast was amazing. With the avocado, it was the perfect lunch. Filling, and full of amazing flavours, but still light. My filter coffee was delightful and I really appreciated the touch of serving it with a small amount of the ground coffee so I could appreciate the aromas.

The only thing i had to say is the surrounding area. I would not feel like coming here for the weekend brunch since it's surrounded by office building and so on. The staff are the best trained professional wait staff in Brisbane, better even than Hilton Atrium. They made this gem of a cafe worth 5 Star rating. Have really enjoyed the coffee here on multiple occasions. The roast tends to be a lighter variety, and very tasty. The Saturday brunch is really good and a great way to enjoy a relaxing start to the weekend. Just make sure to sit in the front as the back can be quite loud with music pumping from fitness center entrance.

Coffee Anthology is basically an outdoors cafe, so don't expect any air conditioning, even in the indoor seating. The seats are awkwardly angled and uncomfortable - at least the ones we tried. Iced Latte was fine but surprisingly reminded me of Aktavite, though that is likely due to the sugar they add in their iced mix as the aroma from the actual coffee was delightful. Service was friendly but disorganised and requires more initiative than usual on the part of the customer. Visit here in autumn or winter for a more comfortable experience.

Consistently good coffee - They can be extremely busy and you may need to wait, but they always try hard to make the best coffee possible to satisfy each customer's needs. They are not angry or upset when you say you are not happy with what you have - happy to remake. They do hard to ensure what they offer to be the best in quality - not grinding coffee is one of their policy as once beans are ground, they lose flavour, get older, resulting in ruining the taste. I really like this place and all people who work here...

This was my favourite place when working a govt contract in the cbd in 2017. Now back in the cbd and took 2 work colleagues there after recommending it to them. Unfortunately it was very disappointing - the flavour was the same but despite getting an extra shot the coffee was incredibly weak. Colleagues observed the same with theirs. Whether it was a new Barista I'm not sure, but it managed to turn off 3 customers at once!

Great coffee, free bubbly water top ups for the win. The breakfast menu is much stronger than the lunch menu. Could totally skip the coffee infused sauces etc and simplify the lunch menu. If in doubt a coffee and the eggs Benedict or avocado on toast with or without eggs are great.

A great coffee shop that ticks the right boxes. As you walk in you order at the counter (no redundant table service) and get sparkling water from the tap. Choice of coffee is simplified and accelerated by being asked about your taste preference. I have gone for a fruity espresso twice and it was excellent both times, smooth, floral and just a little chocolaty. A selection of sandwiches is on display as well as brunch menu drawn on the counter. Food comes out fast and tastes really fresh. My partner ordered a tea and they offered her to try the strength first before pouring, which ended tasting rather nice as well.

The coffee machine out on the footpath is so good for takeaway coffees before 11am, and as soon as you take a step inside there's a staff member to see of you'd like a table or a coffee. Great coffee, terrible food. Only come here for the coffee. Had the Truffled Eggs Benedict, with added Bacon. The eggs were uncooked, runny and a little cold; the bacon was super thick-cut at around 1cm thick (bacon should be about 2mm thick) so this was more like ham at 5x the thickness; and the toasted sourdough was rock-hard and impossible to bite through. To their credit, they did give me a refund for the meal. I still come back for the awesome coffee though.

I'm still reeling from the INCREDIBLE level of customer service! I've been to some incredible hotels, but these guys outdid most of them in terms of service in 5 mins. Whilst standing outside, I was brought water in a glass! I hadn't even walked in! And it wasn't done in a coercive way, to get me in, but in a genuine way. This was just the beginning! Amongst many moments that blew my expectations out of the water (and I had read some great reviews, so my expectations were high), one staff member, from the other side of the room, asked me if I would like a tray when delivered my second coffee! These guys are amazing! Should be used as an example for customer service! Coffee was great too!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Brisbane for 2.5 days and we visited twice. They were fully packed on both days and the queue never stops. We sat at the bar counter and had a little chat with the barista on the first day. I would like to have a piccolo with less milk. I will probably be back during my trip just to eat this again. Who knew avo on toast could be this great. The Barista clearly saw his role as that of creating a high quality coffee and likewise the chef.
