Little out of the way cafe in the heart Brisbane. It has great Italian and coffee. The negroni is really good as well. The menu is very simple and good breakfast. They used to have a great lasagna which I really would like to see back one day!

Very good coffee and high quality Italian café fare. Five stars for that. One area that requires attention is their "no cash" policy. Apparently they have been declining cash for a couple of years. Legally a merchant is allowed to decline legal tender, but *only* when that policy is clearly stated before ordering (i.e. enter into contract). At writing, this establishment has no such sign. Hopefully they will install a sign at the counter or entrance that lays out these terms before a customer orders. At the very least, it's just good courtesy. Customers shouldn't feel embarrassed or excluded because they prefer, or only have, cash.

Marchetti is just off Queen St mall. The food and drinks very much remind me of Italian cafes. Whether it’s savoury or sweet, coffee or cocktail, everything they serve is delicious. Today I had a lunchtime croissant with prosciutto and truffle cheese, which was perfect with a Negroni.

A person has the power to completely change your point of view and the experience you have of a venue. That is just what the friendly staff at Marchetti have done. Understandably, staff change, and so too, can your experiences at a venue. You can't base one bad experience as your only experience, as staff do transition at any venue. There are those, same familiar, friendly faces at Marchetti to Welcome you back to a warm cup of your favourite Barista coffee every time. And the ever tempting array of delectable sweets and pastries to tempt you as you order. Worthy of every temptation. Thank you for providing great customer service not offering it as an optional extra. Something so simple as customer service, can make such a difference, be such a treat. Making it Worthy of returning time and time again.

Stumbled across this little cafe on a walk and it was so busy I thought I better try it. With the seats sprawling inside a tiny mall, this has a great feel, simple but tasty menu and excellent coffee! I ordered the omelette- see photo - so awesome so yummy. Staff were friendly and the collection of sweets just amazing!

Excellent coffee, delicious food and great service. It reminds me of cafes in Melbourne. It's not just another generic cafe, it has character and individuality. The location in the historic Tattersall's arcade is away from the noise and crowds of the mall. It is small and can be busy, but wait for a table to free up and you will be rewarded.

Stop reading and go to buy a fresh croissant from this cafe - WOW! Perfectly crispy on the outside, perfectly fluffy and soft on the inside with the rich aroma and taste and delicious butter permeating the whole pastry. I came here three times while staying in Brisbane because it was not only great food and coffee but the staff was excellent! They have great breakfast choices and are reasonably priced. Their coffee is amazing! Recommend their flat white, definitely a go to item. They also serve lunch items and have seating outside the restaurant. They also serve bakery items but I haven't tried those yet. If you're looking for a nice Italian Cafe for some morning coffee, definitely give Marchetti Cafe a try.

I have been visiting this "real deal" Italian cafe for many years. Located in the Tattersall arcade off the Queen Street mall. Good coffee and sweet treats like canoli. Attentive staff and reasonable seating. I prefer the inside seating at the window. Definitely worth a visit.

The cafe is hidden away opposite the Apple Store in the Tattersall’s arcade. This cafe is like being back in Italy with the really good coffee and biscotti, wonderful homemade cakes and savoury foods. So lovely. Wheelchair accessible. Has seating outside and lovely cool air conditioning seating at a small bench inside. This is clearly a favourite of locals. The Gem is open on Friday nights with a lovely menu, wine and coffee a MUST!! Grazie Mille

Great central location, albeit pokey if you're sitting just outside the cafe, however there are better seats in the rotunda of the arcade. Good coffee, but service leaves a lot to be desired. I understand it's busy sometimes, but a smile, thank you and please goes a long way.

Not bad but not great, either. Coffee was very bitter. Service was prompt and very friendly. Food was pricey and not much flavour (a little skimpy on the truffle and the cheese, I could barely taste it), but it was fresh.

What a hidden gem. Was blown away by how good the coffee was. Their pastries look amazing. I won’t be able to resist those for much longer as I keep coming back for more amazing coffee. Very friendly staff. 5 stars. ...Ok.. Quick update. I finally caved this morning (after 2-3 months) and had a lemon Danish with a very complicated Italian name. Best dam thing I've ever eaten. There MUST be an Italian mumma out the back making these things. I had no idea a pastry could taste this good. So much so I had to come back and update my review.

Great food and coffee and an awesome vibe

Week 1: Hesitant to give 5 stars. Coffee is great but I’m not sure they are real Italians. It’s been five hours and none of them have jumped into any sewer pipes or taken mushrooms. Will investigate further. Week 2: Mission command re-assigned me to Venice today, they think the Patzi's are planning an invasion. I'm now into my first week as a deep cover pizza chef. No idea what I'm doing, I just throw mozzarella at people and yell obscenities at them.

I have had coffee in dozens of Brisbane coffee shops. Marchetti hands down provides one of the best coffees in this city. Experienced baristas, Great coffee machine, great seeds and perfectly sized cups. Easily attains five stars.

Tried this placed last weekend for the heck of it and OMG! Going back tonight!! We tried the fried crab, jambalaya pizza, something else delicious, & the bread pudding. It was the bomb!!Our guide was the friendly and fierce Robin, engaging and full of information. Even parts of the freedom struggle that we we were familiar with (we thought) came alive with photos, artifacts, video, and Robin's narrative. She was particularly good, but any live tour will add a lot to walking through the exhibits.

Marchetti is a most go when you’re in Brisbane CBD. I can never have enough of their fantastic coffee and fresh Buffalo mozzarella sandwiches. The pastry is good too but a little bit pricey!

Really nice Italian bar ambience, tucked away in Tattersall's Arcade and cappuccino was also well made. I ordered two biscuits with my coffee, without looking at prices, and was pretty shocked when I went to pay that a simple, small biscuit cost $4 EACH. Sorry but this is way overpriced, even by Australian cafè standards. Biscuits like this cost €0.80 in Italy.

If you are looking for that little slice of a Parisian or Rome cafe then this is the place for you. Away from the hussle and bussle of Queen st Mall the coffee I think is the best in the city , staff are great , the baked cheese cake and Nutella roll are very decadent .
