This place has really awesome food! Who ever decided to put cheese with tofu is a genius.
Plus eating in the gallery's courtyard under a beautiful big tree surrounded by sculptures (and water dragons) is a very cool experience.

A beautiful, contemporary, sculpture garden location. If you love green spaces and art, this place is for you. Accessibility is very good. The food is nice, but some dishes try a little too hard to be different. Sometimes it's best to stick with the basics, and do it well, than attempt to be creative for its own sake.

My friend and I came here after a free tour through the Gallery of Modern Art for a coffee and I must say that both of our meals were absolutely insane ! I can recommend the turkish bread with tofu and avocado and my friend's dish, the sesame cauliflower was just as good. Highly recommend trying it ! Also tastes really good with a chai to drink :)

Lovely staff great service. Food and Drink are always so well presented. Everything tasted lovely. Gorgeous location and great indoor or outdoor seating options. Heavily recommend!

Good casual lunch option when visiting the QAG. Outdoor seating under shady trees/ umbrellas and next to water features. Indoor seating available if outside not pleasant. Good menu, friendly staff, food at reasonable prices. Not the river view of GOMA, but sculpture garden is restful and away from the bustle of the city. Definitely somewhere I would take BNE visitors.

We weren’t sure what we wanted and were with
friends from out of town. We knew we wanted
something light but cooked so we all ordered
the snapper. This was delicious and was enjoyed by all as was the cheesecake for dessert which we decided to try also. 👍🏼

The food was absolutely delicious. Such subtle flavours. Highly recommend the smoky cauliflower and the orange ricotta gnocchi. Just perfect for a light lunch.

I love everything about this place, food, coffee, services, and the ambience. The Tempura lotus root- Turkish bread sandwich is so delicious. I wish it never goes away from the menu.

Excellent service, yummy food, and a lovely ambience. The perfect stop after visiting the QAGOMA exhibitions. We frequently have lunch here. Highly recommend.

This is one of my favourite places to sit, relax & enjoy a great cup of coffee. Their egg & salad sandwich is my go to order. The outdoor courtyard area is where the magic happens, water features, beautiful gardens, birdlife, lizards & bronze sculptures create a very special space to relax & enjoy the sunshine & tranquility. If you have overseas guests or small children to entertain this is a nice place to take them, children will love the large water dragons who live in the gardens & trees, just watch your feet as they aren’t shy! The Ibis birds will steal your muffin or sandwich if you leave your table unattended. Make sure you take a scroll through the gallery when you leave the cafe, but don’t take any food & drinks with you! The Gallery does have an awesome children’s Art Space which holds free creative projects during school holidays. Weekends are very popular with families who can book tables for their small birthday celebrations, check with staff for booking guidelines. if you wish to chill without the crowds, I do suggest using Google Maps “popular time” graph, to help you avoid the crowds. The cafe entrance is a bit obscured, its tucked in a corner, public restrooms are not located inside the cafe, you will find them in the art gallery directly in line with this entrance, walk 50m down towards the wall ahead. There is a secret glass door hidden in the glass wall as you enter the gallery entrance on the left. It’s located opposite the gallery shop. This door is a shortcut with direct access to the cafe garden.

The food was magnificent and the waiter an absolute delight- you don’t get that very often! Highly recommend for family or anyone!

Always good. Food quality may or may not have gone down a notch since a Beetroot Risotto I had in 2015, but is still way better than one would expect from a gallery cafe. The Cafe food is more consistently delicious and unique than any other restaurant whose menu items rarely exceed $20. Obviously one could not eat in a more idyllic setting, and even the indoor area is kind of utopian, and nicely cool. The Arts Precinct charm has gladly not ebbed an inch from the area; the 10am opening time carefully limits interractions between gallery visitors and the people that for better or worse live in and amongst the gardens of the state library. Many of these men are very aggressive but seem to love the library. Please consider adding a saltbush pasta to your menu, as this would make me happy.

Lovely food and service as always.
The coffee however…INCREDIBLE!
Thank you Zoe!

This is a hidden gem a must. Wonderful for families and wheelchair and stroller accessible. With both inside and beautiful tranquil outside seating. Also has washrooms.

I planned to see the gallery, but coz of hungry and work, finally comed here ordered a flat white & bronny.
And the environment here is really natural, I saw a show of strive to stay alive in real wild world, which scared me a lot.

Very nice cafe attached to the museum, the prices are reasonable and the coffee is pretty good. The food here is okay, although there are a few places close by this venue does provide a good place to have a break between exhibits. You cannot take coffee, drinks or any food back into the museum but there is plenty of space in the cafe or just outside to get fresh air and it is mostly quiet.

Had lunch there today, tried two of their new dishes. The beef ragu Orecchiette and purple onion tart with pickled pineapple and pine nut side salad. Both were above expectations and so were the staff. Both delivered on their promise. Fantastic new dishes that we will be back for!

Delicious food with very good vegetarian/vegan options in a pleasant environment indoor air-conditioned or alfresco dining option. The soups are something quite special.
D. A.
Pleasant, friendly staff. Food was delicious. Nice environment, either inside or out in courtyard. Would recommend.
S. D. K.
We don't come here often enough, but it's always delicious and thoughtfully put together. Good vegetarian menu items as well (number of vego options varies, but seems to be going up).
J. D.
My absolute favourite place. Love the water features and sculpture. Great coffee.
H. L.
The sausage link was pretty good. It was moist, not too fatty, had great texture and tasted good. The flavor was not too bold and I liked it with or without some of the sauces. There were six or eight different sauces to try too! Most of the park is in shade with easy well groomed walking paths. This would be a great place to bring young kids- they allow tricycles and big wheels for kids but no bikes.
V. K.
The outdoor seating is lovely with nice surroundings. Coffee wasn’t bad, either.

Good food. Comfortable. Clean.

First visit was lovely. Staff, food and service perfect. Asked if I could book a table for our pre Christmas celebration on 14 /12/19. Staff advised yes and brought out a book from under the counter to write my booking in. We arrived for our booking yesterday and was told “we dont take bookings” (different staff this time). I mentioned the book for her to check and when she did the booking was clear. Attitude was not friendly at all. She asked a male staffer to put 2 tables together. I asked for the 2 tables at the end, however male staffer kept ignoring me when I tried to get his attention. Finally after an argument with staff they put the tables together. There was plenty of room. Their excuse that we would block people from paying was rubbish! We were offered free coffee at the end to try and make up for their mistakes, so that was something. Very disappointed with their attitudes. Christmas is supposed to bring out the best in people:(

So relaxed. Impeccable service and food. New menu from last time i was here end of 2019. The cauliflower main was delicious. Away from motorised traffic but next to bikeways and walkways. Perfect!
M. L.
Always enjoy lunching here. Food and coffee are always great. Love to sit by the fountains and large water feature under the big trees. Amusements is provided by the little waterdragons that scurry around searching for a morsel or two.
C. M.
This is presently my favourite coffee shop. I really enjoy relaxing here with a large flat white and a good ebook! There is a peaceful ambience with pleasant soft music and a beautifully designed garden and water features. Really love their coffee and the gluten free muffins are delicious!
L. B.
It's peaceful, green grass, fountains, a little bit of wildlife scurrying around. Your choice to sit indoors or outside. Nice coffee, food yummy, staff are very pleasant.

Good food very good service
B. H.
Nice quiet spot for a quick bite or drink. Food was average and drinks were small for the price.
S. S.
Kids meal with a ham & cheese wrap, fruit, cookie, wate4 and colouring activities is only $10, good value. We often come here to avoid the crush at the cafe in the Queensland Museum cafe. As it's tucked away, like the GOMA cafe, it's a lot less busy
C. W.
They always seem to have items on the menu that are a bit different. The tempura mushrooms on vermicelli and cabbage today was scrumptious.
G. E.
Very nice range of foods with lovely service
L. 5.
Beautiful food in a quiet oasis amid the bustle of Southbank. Also loved the lizards climbing the tree. Very entertaining!

Limited menu and service but a lovely environment particularly outside under the trees next to the ponds with water dragons
