Good food, friendly customer service and reasonable serving sizes. The interior decor is really stylish with plants everywhere which makes for a relaxed dining experience. Not the cheapest place to eat but good place for brunch and lunch. I recommend trying this cafe out if you're around Roma street park

What an incredible experience here at The Garden Room! Everything was perfection! The atmosphere and ambience is so inviting and fresh and earthy with plants and decor everywhere. Very open space dine-in seating. Lots of outdoor sections. Plants and trees everywhere making you feel like you're in a beautiful garden Oasis. The service is above and beyond and very friendly and accommodating and knowledgable. They are all amazing people ! The food....wow, the food! So delicious and fresh and flavourful. Even the plate of sides I ordered was delicious and perfectly seasoned and fresh ! All the dishes we ordered were beautifully constructed and a feast for the eyes. As well as a feast for the tongue! YUMMM ! The coffee and drinks are made to perfection! There is no fresh juice which would be a nice addition. There are various seating options in the spacious indoor and outdoor sections. Take a pick at your favourite flavour of seating. There's a huge variety for all comfort levels. I cannot fault a single thing at this place. What an incredible location and restaurant and service and food! Absolutely give this place a visit!! I will be back for sure.

The Garden Room is situated in an idyllic setting in the Roma Street Parklands. Decent variety of breakfast and lunch options. Good coffee. The Eggs Benedict was delicious.

Previously known as the under whelming and under performing Melange Cafe, I was very pleased to see that this cafe has been renamed, re-vamped and looked aesthetically pleasing. It’s apparent that the service is of a standard that is to be expected for a cafe that is in a prime and beautiful location of the Parkland. Food wise, I appreciated that there were vege options, albeit limited, however the price point vs what’s offered is a little high. This could be because they are the only cafe there…as they were busy. Pictured below is their “nourish bowl”. It needs flavour and warmth. It was cold and a tad unappealing. I’m not sure what the carrots had been fermented in, but they were on the high end of acidity. The falafel balls were very bland and had a slight odour. Chick peas tend to do that when not stored correctly. I sincerely hope they begin to offer a vegetarian burger and a vegetarian version of their lunch board. Otherwise, I’m hoping they allow ordering off the kids menu. All in all, I would return as the service is good, has great ambiance as a meeting point and of course located in the most amazing location.

The staff here were so friendly and the food was fantastic - highlights were the pork belly and the fried chicken with seaweed sauce, both so tasty. The high tea was great too although we had too much food, and some of it was veryy sweet, the kind of level of sweet you don't want to eat more than one item of as it can be overwhelming. But otherwise a really great venue, was impressed at how well they do functions there.

This is busy coffee shop on weekends not sure during week days .It has a nice setting in Brisbane botanical gardens Rome street. The coffee was nice and they had lite meals for breakfast and lunch. The service was good ,it was not long after we ordered our coffee and meal arrived .I will return again for another coffee.

A beautiful venue, lovely fresh and clean decor with a great open vibe inside. Service was a little cold and slow, no tap water offered and no one came to check on our meals. My chicken salad was very underwhelming, dry cold chicken cooked yesterday, about 100 kilos of quinoa and no spices. Please, I will swap you 40 grains of quinoa for some seasoning!! Might go back for coffee as the vibe was great, wouldn't eat here again.

We went here on a public holiday so it was quite busy. We couldn't find any menu's, it cost $40 for 2 kids milkshakes, a slice of carrot cake, a scone, a tea & a flat white. The milkshakes and food came out 25 minutes before the tea and coffee, tea was over-steeped and bitter, came out in a pot with no milk. All the people working were friendly.

When you're in Roma Street Parklands, this is the place to sit and relax. Beautiful, beautiful situation and ambience. Takeaway available as well. There is a drop off area right out front and a small amount of parking nearby. Disability friendly.

I come here quite often, it's close to Roma Street Station, so very convenient. The Garden Room has excellent customer service, and some of the nicest staff you'll meet in any cafe! I'm hooked on their bacon and egg rolls to the point where it's a little embarassing that I keep ordering the same thing! I love their coffee too, and my wife always enjoys their almond croissants and muffins. It can get quite busy on weekends, so sometimes there is a bit of a wait... but I guess thats because it's such a great place! It's a really beautiful location, positioned right in the Roma Street Parklands, which itself is a great place to visit in Brisbane. Highly recommended!!

What a delightful oasis. Food is outstanding and the coffee was on point. The big breaky wasn't your average mass serving but everything served was 10/10. The matcha smoothie bowl was one of the best we've had. THE PINA COLADA SMOOTHIE IS ICONIC. Had I k own just how good this was gonna be I would have ordered 39 and happily loved in a SMOOTHIE COMA. Delectable. Seating was great, love the greenery, and its a short walk to beautiful gardens. Put this on your to visit list. Well worth it.

The Garden Room hosted our dream wedding reception! From the first time visiting the venue as a cafe customer, we continued to fall in love with the beautiful, green and open space - the beauty and versatility of The Garden Room made our venue hunt very easy. The Garden Room was able to host our 100 people wedding with ease, with the combination of indoor and outside areas being perfect for a long table seated dinner, mingling and dancing. We couldn’t have been happier dealing with manager, Josie, in the lead up to the wedding. Josie and her team provided consistent communication and were able to liaise with other vendors to ensure everything ran smoothly on the day and night. The service on the night was exceptional, with attentive and happy staff throughout the whole event. We selected delicious alternate drop meals from an amazing menu, and the kitchen was able to accomodate all dietary requirements. Our guests are still raving about the venue. The whole team at The Garden Room ran our evening expertly, and we would recommend The Garden Room to anyone looking for a beautiful and unique reception venue.

I had brunch today, arriving at approximately 9.30am. They weren't very busy at that stage. After ordering a flat white coffee with extra shot, a cappuccino was delivered to my table. 😕 When i politely explained that that wasn't my order, i didn't receive an apology but i did receive a rather abrupt "We'll make another one", as the waiter fled away. When my friend arrived, we ordered the haloumi dish. Here's a not so subtle reminder. The yokes of poached eggs are meant to be served runny, not chewy. 🙄 When asked what time alcohol service commences, the waiter told me 10am. When i went to the counter to order, i was told 11am. The food was tasty but over-priced for what is served. Time-wise, the service was reasonably expeditious and friendly. To their credit the ambience matches the name and is quite relaxing. Overall, it was an average experience and there's room for improvement. I'm assuming like many venues they have been doing it tough during the Covid-19 situation. People, you're not doing yourself any favours.

We recently held a 60th birthday breakfast at The Garden Room at the beautiful Roma Street Parklands. The staff and chef went out of their way to make the celebration a great success. Their coordination and calm manner assisted in having 45 children and adults served with food and drinks in a timely manner. The breakfasts and platters were all excellent, as was the coffee, milkshakes and juices. Everyone was impressed. We have no hesitation in recommending the Garden Room as a great venue.

Enjoyed a very pleasant breakfast at The Garden Room this morning with family. There is an excellent menu which caters for everyone's taste. I also highly recommend the coffee, thoroughly enjoyed my Decaffeinated coffee. The Garden Room also caters for lunch & afternoon snacks. There is adequate seating available both inside and outside. Covid-19 pandemic restrictions are in place, you can either scan your attendance via your mobile phone, or staff will provide a form for you to complete. This is also a perfect place for anyone who is disabled to enjoy a meal. There are toilet facilities onsite, which also caters for anyone with a disability. I found the customer service provided was first class, the staff ensuring that they made your day most enjoyable. The Garden Room is located in the the Roma Street Parklands & is within easy walking distance to the Roma Street Railway Station. You can always enjoy the Roma Street Parklands after you have had your meal.

The staff delivering the food have been helpful and nice but the order taking has been a bit clinical and drab. It's always busy which might account for the transactional feel but highly recommend a visit.

Stopped by for a morning meal and were disappointed. My wife’s corn fritter was only partly cooked and my bacon and egg roll was very bland possibly made yesterday. Coffee was nice but not extra hot, peppermint tea was nice but hard to get that wrong good quality. Service was excellent from counter staff shame food was not the same. A beautiful space for lunch or a special event. The restaurant is very calming with lots of natural light and lots of plants. The food is always amazing and the service is cheerful and prompt. It's really nice to buy a take away lunch to eat on the celebration lawn in the parklands so the kids can have a run around while you relax.

Service was really slow. Coffee was really nice but wasn’t hot. When you specifically say “extra hot”, you want extra hot, not cold. Food was nice but we ate and then had to wait 15 minutes for our coffee and watched 2 other tables get their drinks before us. Main let down was the slow service. Won’t be coming back I don’t think. Staff are too unorganised and slow. To be fair, a lot of coffee shops do not know how to make hot coffee, it’s like they’re inexperienced and scared to burn it. They also don’t listen when you ask for half strength and 50% of the time, anywhere you go they will bring you out a full strength. The rant

The staff was very nice and the food was pretty lit, and when I spilt my milkshake by accident a kind lady working there who I think was the manager named Odette(sorry if I spelt it wrong) helped me clean it up alot. I discovered this cafe whilst waiting on the Murray Bus out west. The staff were friendly, acted quick to serve the diners and provided a COVID-19 safe environment. I had the Philly Cheesr steak bun with hot chips and a dollop of mayo for dip, and a csppuc. Everything was beautiful. The price was a little expensive but in line with trendy Brisbane venues. Great outside seating.

Bacon jam on the waffles. A mysterious substance that I'm not sure whether I love or hate. Either way I ate it all. Area is wonderful and I loved the greenery. It's a quiet getaway from the city and breakfast on a Sunday is tranquil experience. The staff were friendly and delivered a great service.
