The food here was amazing, the scrambled egg with pork was the best breakfast I've had in a long time. But my friend's tea was very weak and their coffee cups are tiny so my long black was more like a short black. Not trying to be fussy here but it was gone in 5 sips. The taste was great tho.

Met up with some friends for lunch and half our group went with the king fish dish - the broth was light, with a taste that evoked familiar memories. The fish and dumplings were good but I did find the portion on the small side - just nice for smaller eaters but I was hungry again by mid afternoon. Tried a bit of the other dishes on the table and I semi-regret not getting the ham hock beans instead as it was tasty and hearty. The panna cotta was fairly firm and didn't have much of a jiggle; we found out this is due to it being a vegan version so not made using the normal/typical ingredients. Our orders: * pan fried king fish, $23 - crispy skin kingfish, pork jowl dumplings, 8hrs broth, greens * ham hock beans, $18 - smoked ham hock baked beans, truffle scramble, watercress, ciabatta * panna cotta, $18 - mango panna cotta, almond granola, coconut yoghurt, mango gel, passionfruit pearls, seasonal fruit The store had less seating than I expected, so we had a slight wait for a table. On the plus side service was pretty good and they allow split payments with no card surcharge. Will be keen to try some of their weekend specials.

Excellent coffee, with numerous choices for bean blends, styles and flavours. The staff/owners really know the options and the coffee. Blends and roast are made in house and comes from passion in the product and work. The food is also very enjoyable and tasty. The flavours of the food follow the same idea as the coffee. Matching flavours and interesting combinations for an enjoyable, tasty meal. I appreciate that they have good, viable food options in a range sizes and richness. Allowing small breakfast as well as full lunches.

Great decor and spacious cafe. Staff are helpful, prices are reasonable and coffee here is good. We tried the: × Savoury mince - pork is not too oily however is a bit on the dry side. The hummus is quite salty and the dish gets heavy over time × French toast - quite a heavy dish and super sweet but has great combination of fruits and flavours. Middle has nice filling too × Beef cheek pasta - good flavouring but also salty and pasta was a bit too aldente for me. Still enjoyable and reasonable portion UPDATE: tried the confit salmon - wasn't a big fan, taro cake had an acquired taste and the salmon was like smoked salmon

In my mind, there are four essential features to a good coffee shop, and this place ticks them all off. Range of Coffees and Taste: Maillard have a large selection of roasts and drip based coffees, which have all tasted amazing so far. I'm confident there is something for the palate of every coffee lover here. The staff are obviously well trained barristas and the machines well kept. I have not yet tasted any hint of over-roasted bean bitterness, nor ill taste of the sort you'd find in a McCafe pushing out dozens of coffees in short order. Food: I cannot fault the food here either. Taste and presentation are both excellent. I would highly recommend the Wagyu Burger. Prices are those expected of a Cafe setting, $17-$25 off the top of my head for a main. Perhaps the only negative is that food does sometimes take a while to arrive, which personally is not a problem for me. Atmosphere: Boasting a clean and modern decor, it is a nice place to sit down and have a chat without noise being an issue. Service: The staff have all been very friendly and helpful, and knowledgeable with the myriad of coffee products. So if you are a bit overwhelmed with choice the first time you come (as I was), they can help with recommendations.

Do yourself a favour, go and visit this place for breakfast. Fantastic food, efficient service and coffee blends you can select. You don’t have to have the house coffee even if it is very good. All coffee comes with tasting notes and origin so as too know what your getting. Meal sizes were great,not to big and not too small. I had the heirloom tomatoes and they were some of the best I’ve tasted with a side of halloumi cheese that was superb. This is a great place to enjoy a awesome breakfast or brunch.

Obviously top notch coffee and coffee selection. Modern and sleek interior with a cool tiered seating. Was quite a long and slow wait unfortunately and took almost 30min to just get our coffees out. Food was definitely good ( tried the ragu bolognese) , but took way too long and was cold by the time it was served. Seemed like an off day however and would give it another try. Staff seemed well trained and the service itself was great.

Best coffee in Brisbane! My husband and I are from Melbourne and we have been trialling all the cafes in Brissy (it's tough but someone has to do it). The service was lovely and every staff member said hello which made us feel so welcome. The coffee was unreal, made with so much care. We drink almond milk which can often go wrong but the flat whites we received were perfect. We are already planning on going back for breakfast in the next few days. Thanks guys!

Possibly the best coffee in Brisbane. I really like their house blend - the fruity notes are prominent. I've been here a few times. I've never been disappointed with their coffee. Their menu items are innovative and well presented. My favourite has to be the breakfast congee. That was a game changer. Friendly staff who are eager to please.

I know this cafe guided by its sibling (one of my favourite) - Coffee Anthology. Definitely never be disappointed. Really love this Asian style Benedict - Okonomiyaki Benedict with cured salmon. The coffee was as great as always. The only point might that I was too full to finish all😅

Not enough adjectives to speak to the wow of this place. They roast beans on site, warm service and brilliant coffee. I haven't even started talking about the food. The food is wow. This is such a perfect place for breakfast and lunch! The coffee is right, the food is right, the service is right, and the environment is right! my gf insisted on using my account to write this review as hers wasn’t working. but the food was highly thought out and creative, the price was super reasonable and portions were just right for the richness of the dishes. i had ordered the eggs benedict with pork belly and my gf ordered the french toast. the eggs benedict came on waffles instead of traditional bread, which came as a surprise but was such a nice twist to the traditional cafe menu. we came all the way from sydney and will make a visit again if we are ever back in brisbane. thanks lots !

Had a brunch booking, limit was 1 hour. Potato rosti had sold out by the time we arrived. Enjoyed the coffee here. PHENOMENAL COFFEE, is hard to find. This little gem is slightly hidden. I ordered an OAT MILK MOCHA 😆 I was trying to find Coconut milk as it's quite popular in New Zealand but the waitress kindly suggested Oat Milk for the Mocha. I'm so glad to say it was DELICIOUS!!!! First off, the food and coffee is of excellent quality, particularly the coffee. One of, if not the best in Brisbane CBD. Their menu consists of all day breakfast items and a small number of items for lunch. Pictured is the French toast which was amazing. Accompanied with seasonal fruits it photographed great and tasted just as good as it looked. Whilst the food and coffee were of exceptional quality the same cannot be said of the service. I stood in the line for "sit down diners" for 10-15 minutes after the couple in-front of me were seated. The issue here is that this is also the area where takeaway coffees were picked up and there is no clear distinction between the two. Thus this makes it difficult for the floor staff to tell the difference between who's waiting to dine in and who's waiting for takeaway. It was only when the barista had no takeaway coffees on order that I was noticed and had floor staff directed to me. Not particularly good when you have a short lunch break.

I have given these guys 5 stars but held off on a written review for a while. Truly some of the best coffee in Brisbane. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and efficient staff. Coffee is roasted on site so the baristas know the blend and the variety of single origins available intimately and can make recommendations based on flavour preferences. The pastries (and I might regret this because they run out as it is) especially the almond croissant, is amazing. I haven't had the chance to sit down and enjoy a meal here yet but if it is as good as the coffee it should be pretty bloody good.

So amazing! The service was quick and the food was to die for. We loved our eggs Benny with bacon, pork belly with hash cakes and avo toast with scrambled eggs. I'm not mentioning the extra ingredients for each as it would take too long but check out their menu and you'll see the magic combinations for each for yourself! The coffee and tea are fab! Seats are tide and not comfy at the bar while it only allows around 30 centimetres with another set of customers. Better have less seats then... Can definitely know their coffee beans and food are fresh but with the other options within the city.. just don't see myself coming back

Wow the friendliest staff, they greet you when you're walking past and not even indoors. Pretty strict when it comes to the seating and covid but that's an understandable process. Bar seating or back table seating or few options outside in the arcade part, so decent options available. Plus plenty of amazing pastries to choose from!

Only speaking for their take-home packs of beans. Best place in the city to buy beans. They will grind if to your specifications without argument. I've heard their mother store Coffee Anthology does not live up to the same standards.

Good coffee and food. But the morning coffee service is way too slow. Takes a good 10 minutes to get a takeaway coffee, while empty cups are lined up waiting to be filled for orders. Need two people on the coffee machine for peak times, as used to be when first opened, not one on the machine and one manning the register...it’s not working.

Visited twice on a weekend trip from Sydney and we were blown away by the customer service, attention to detail, the food, coffee and general warmth and friendliness from the staff. On both occasions, staff recommended great food options and helped us choose beans based on our coffee preferences. Small details like everyone greeting us on entry and departure goes a long way. The overall vibe is gorgeous. Modern sleek interior with warm wood touches. A must visit in Brisbane. 👌🏻

While getting a takeaway coffee I asked about buying some grounds of a specific bean flavour to take home. The barista told me those beans had just been roasted today and would be better if left a few days before being ground, and so recommended I come back next week. I don't know if I can taste the difference between same-day and previous-day roasted coffee, but I have a lot of respect for a business that will turn down a sale and ask me to come back later because they think I'll enjoy the product more that way.

Easy to find location and helpful staff when I wandered in, completely oblivious to their COVID instructions. Pointed me in the right direction without being rude about it, even when they were busy. Our beverages were solid and were pumped out super-fast. There's also a neat Loring facing the street for my fellow coffee nerds.

Ducked into the millard project today for some coffee and a bit of preparation for work. Great experience. The food here was good. It has the best egg dishes however, was quite disappointed with the fries and fish burger. Be prepared to wait a little while for a table if you come during peak hours. Would definitely come back to try the other dishes

Chicken ragu is very floury and tastes good but it is also the most dishwasher/dishwashing dish of the three dishes. The French toast is very beautiful in color matching. The French toast itself is delicious, but the vanilla ice cream tastes very organic and healthy. There are too many things and too complicated. All the tastes are available. The ice is hot, crispy and soft, and it is very busy. The first bite of Egg Benedict was cool, the miso came right after the caramel, but after the second bite, they didn't seem to fit together, and then served with cornmeal muffins, couldn't give much love . (Original) 用餐環境服務都很不錯，環境寬敞乾淨，半開放式的卻燈光明亮，再加上日常光，整家店感覺非常有精神，不過可能是在市中心所以價位偏高，CP值很低。最重要的食物及咖啡都還好，覺得只有賣相，看起來很有一回事，可是吃起來都還好，而且每盤吃起來都有濃厚的洗碗機/洗碗精味。Chicken ragu的麵粉味很重，味道不錯但是也是三道菜內洗碗機/洗碗精味最重的。French toast顏色搭配的超美，法國吐司本人很好吃，但是香草冰淇淋吃起來很有機太健康，搭配東西太多太雜，所有口感全部都有，冰熱脆軟，很忙碌。Egg Benedict第一口吃覺得很酷，味增吃完焦糖就來了，但是吃第二口就覺得他們好像不太適合在一起，然後再配上玉米粉鬆餅，沒辦法給太多愛。
