The character of this place is great and it has an intimate 1920s vibe. The food is bang on average. The service is attentive. The indoor tables are well spaced so even when it gets busy you can still hear/chat with your company.

I love the vibe of this place. It is so rare to find something with such an old, vibrant atmosphere. You can see the love put into this place, and the attention to detail. I went there with my mum on a whim, and it has quickly become a favourite. They are expensive, but what isn't these days? We had the salmon & mash, and the duck risotto, and the food was delicious! The service was lovely, we even tipped the servers. And the bathroom area is so unlike anything I've seen, it's lovely to see history still alive in he city, especially since they tear so much down here.

Just got dudded by Caphs. Tiny piece of Lemon meringue pie to take away. I queried the size. Response. It's hard to cut. I will give you a bigger piece next time! Not good enough Caphs $9.00 for half usual size serve!!

Been coming every Sunday for breakfast for over 3 years! Great service and great food. The staff are always kind and always helpful. They jump over each other to help! I particularly like that the kitchen is so easy going with changes to your dish. The owner's coffee needs some polish, but overall it's a brilliant place to meet and eat.

Very tasty grilled chicken burger, that I could customise to taste, in a nice environment. I felt it was value for money. Speedy friendly service. They let me chill here working away on my laptop for a few hours, even using their power! And not continually trying to sell me more food/drink, yet did check in with me occasionally so I didn't feel forgotten. A great experience all round. Thanks.

I love this place. Food is consistantly great and service is friendly. We love the wide range of breakfast and lunch options available for every dietary need. Unless super busy we never have to wait long for meals and everything is always fresh. Being Caribbean i am very particular about flavour but i must say they get it right every time. For dinner i suggest Moroccan lamb or tandoori chicken😊

Not sure what everyone else is going on about. Went out with friends on 29 Sept for dinner. There was 8 of us. We chose this restaurant because they had a wide variety of options. The food was great, the service was excellent and the overall experience was great. Didn't have to wait long for the food either. Our waiter was lovely, very friendly and helpful. I do wonder if the other reviews are genuine? My friends will be going back to this restaurant again.

I use to go to Caphs regularly but over the years the service has dropped off and the food is pretty average. If we end up there for whatever reason, we avoid the fish altogether as the past 3 times we've ordered it we've had old, or possibly frozen fish and the batter has been lousy. Staff seem to just float and don't seem happy to be there and the coffee has been hit and miss at best.

Been coming here for years, know this restaurant well. Service prompt and delicious meals. Has nice comfy seats, unlike hard wooden ones that seem to the the normal in restaurants now days. A great place to dine before of after seeing a movie.

Delicious and well priced food. Used to go here regularly with my girlfriend on weekend dates and it's a beautiful and cozy space with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend visiting in Spring/Summer and sitting outside.

Went for breakfast, this place is cosy, food is so so but their price is slightly cheaper than next door. Coffee however was bad, pretty sure they either reuse or burnt the milk. Barista doesnt seem to know how to make good coffee.

Used to be the go to place in Manuka. Things haven't changed much since then, which could be good or could be bad. I love the interior decor, but it's much nicer to sit outside in the protected area. We only popped in for a coffee, so can't really comment, but everything was good!

There are generally no surprises when we go to Caphs. We know the menu pretty well and when we want a well presented Cafe dinner then Caphs is one of our "Go to" places. Service is always quick and meals are also turned out pretty quickly.
