Excellent service, very friendly staffs always seems running here and there in hurry 😊.The food is very good and coffee is excellent as well. We been there for couple of times now and it’s been always the same excellent quality. I would rate 5 out of 5

Space kitchen does decent food, often with many fusion options - there were some Mexican, Vietnamese and Japanese flavours on the menu. They also have a dessert cabinet filled with colourful and creative desserts, similar to Ricardo’s. The best thing is that you can order and pay straight from your phone using the QR code.

Love their french toast with passionfruit curd, meringue and berries. Beautiful presentation and perfectly balanced taste, not too sweet or sour. Hubby ordered the minor service, he likes the bacon, crispy but not too dry. They have a variety of cakes as well, all look amazing but we were too full at the end.

We came specifically for the Unicorn Hotcake, which did not disappoint. The food was beautifully plated, and delicious. Coffee by Ona was good too. Service was friendly, and prompt. Orders are placed via your phone after scanning the QR code, which was easy. Im surprised other cafes of this size dont do the same, especially during the pandemic. That said...you do miss seeing all the beautiful cakes, desserts in the display cabinet when ordering via phone. Space Kitchen is close to cover parking, theres also some 1hr & 2hr on street parking too.

I went to Space kitchen on a lucky recommendation and It did not disappoint. If you go to Canberra then you have to stop here. We had the high tea, I liked that the menu was arranged in advance we had lots of options that I wouldn’t have chosen for myself. The service was fantastic, 3 members of the team couldn’t of been more attentive. Special mention to Ric the owner who was a wonderful host. The deserts they offer are some of the best I’ve ever tasted! It’s a must visit, you heard it here first!

Been to Space Kitchen a few times and I have always been happy with both the food and service. Despite normally being quite busy, there is plenty of indoor seating. The staff are both friendly and attentive. I normally order the breakfast burrito that not only looks great, but tastes fantastic. It is on the pricier side of cafes, but is similar to other cafes in the surrounding area. There most famous attribute however would be their amazing cakes. There are so many to choose from. They look incredible to the point where you don't even want to eat them, but trust me, it is worth it!

Was down in Canberra for a day trip and googled good places for lunch and Space Kitchen came up. I booked a table and from the moment we got there is was great. The service was excellent and the food well I didn’t expect to get what we got. Usually you pay an expensive amount but what comes out is small and not enough but in this case, we couldn’t even eat it all. There was so much food and it was delicious. We also got some amazing treats to take home. Overall it was fantastic and we can’t wait to go back.

Really enjoyed our visit, and the review is only leaving due to accessibility issues. We did need to ask staff and push for a more accessible table (despite requesting this when booking online)- there were two bookings at the same time, one further through the restaurant with lower tables and one much closer to the entry and easier to access. Staff were resistant to change but were eventually accommodating and my friend (pregnant and wheelchair user) was really excited to get out of the house and have somewhere that was accommodating. On the booking form online was overjoyed they had an accessible option and ability to add notes - minor adjustments around staff awareness and assigning tables would be appreciated. Improvement notes: The higher tables that are easier to scoot under are appreciated by wheelchair users Navigating to the back corner in a wheelchair can be difficult Food was fantastic! Also it was easy to split, order from table and they had incredible decadent desserts. I'm really hopeful and optimistic this will be a 5 star review in the near future. There is obvious effort from SpaceKitchen to be accessible, and will recommend to friends.

Wow. I took my team of 7 there for lunch. Food came out exceptionally fast and was beautiful. Normally I get a bit of food envy at others choices, but not today. Everyone commented on how exceptional the food was and how quick it came out (very important for that one hour lunch break). Topped off with the those deliciously rich desserts… we will be back

Popped in to Space Kitchen for special morning tea. The array of cakes, pastries and biscuits, is amazing! I have in the past, ordered cakes from Space Kitchen and they have never disappointed. Have a look/order on line-these cakes are works of art. Whilst there was a cost, it was absolutely worth every cent! Enjoyed coffee and a special milkshake and a serve of Mango cheesecake and Cookie Monster - absolutely yummy!! Do yourself a favour and go check it out. Highly recommend.

We didn't have a table booked but they always have some for walk-ins so we were seated straight away. Staff were friendly and active without being in your face. The food was fantastic, all breakfasts for 4 of us. Generous portions, beautiful presentation and very fast arrival after ordering. I went here way back when this place first opened and hated it. I got one of the desserts that's no longer on the menu and it was so many clashing flavours it was unenjoyable and felt more like the food was made that way just for social media content rather than being able to enjoy the food. I've since been back twice in the last three months after being quite hesitant to for a few years and from what I've tried these guys have definitely learned their lesson. It no longer feels like some experiemntal kitchen content hub and rather an actuall good cafe that still branchs out with more unique forms of presentation, but still tastes good. If you're in the area this is now a must try in my books, especially if you have kids as there are some awesome looking dessert options that I've seen kids get really excited over.

I had wanted to visit space kitchen since moving to Canberra and was so glad I did. The breakfast was delicious, the Malteser hot Chocolate was huge, very tasty and surprisingly not too sweet. If I wasn’t going to work I definitely would have tried one of their adult milkshakes! The cake display was so beautiful and was very hard to choose a couple to take to work for morning tea. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return.

Family had a great breakfast kids were excited about the unicorn waffle with he fairy floss. One had the kids pancake which is just one pancake compared to the adult one, full service (big) breakfast was great with it all seasoned not just pan fried, it made a real difference to the flavour. The booking also stated the booking was limited to 1 hour as shown below. PLEASE NOTE: ALL BOOKINGS FOR 1 - 5 PEOPLE ARE FOR 1 HOUR ALLOCATION ONLY.ALL BOOKING FOR 6 OR MORE ARE FOR 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES ONLY.Your table will be held for 15 minutes after your reservation time. Please advise us if you will be late. Food was good and service was prompt - probably due to the time limit put on our visit (1 hour), which meant that we weren't able to have a relaxing time with family. Given that there are currenty no limits on capacity, I question the reasoning for this. Was it just to churn customers over as quickly as possible to maxmise profits? Also, I felt like I was in a self-seve restaurant having to order via our phones from the table. I was almost anticipating that I would have to cook my own

Favourite cafe in canberra! Can't go wrong with the food. But they are very heavy and you will have a food coma afterwards! I love their cakes! Though the cookie monster (blue one) was very rich and dense. I recommend the fruity ones, they have a good ratio of mouse and cream so they're a little lighter.

As a regular at its sister restaurant Ricardo’s, I thought it was finally time to try breakfast at Space Kitchen and I wasn’t disappointed! The food, coffee and service are equally as good and the setting might even be a bit nicer - with not so many tables super close to each other which makes for a more relaxed, private experience. I had the lemon hot cakes and they were delicious, with so many different complementary flavors - lemon, passion fruit, strawberry, maple syrup etc. They also looked beautiful! I’d highly recommend a visit to either Space Kitchen or Ricardo’s!

Visited for breakfast, not well organised for walk-ins had to wait a long time before being given a menu without table service. Best to make a booking if more than 2 people. Had Pork Benedict which was prepared as a paddle pop type pulled pork panko pop. Stand out was the eggs in a muffin type foccacia and harrissa hollandaise. Well priced for the quality of food and quick food and coffee service.

Just found out they have a separate vegan menu! Amazing. Food here is always a winner, vegan pumpkin falafels ($19.9) were served on soft flatbread, loads of avo, pomegranate seeds, a delicious dressing and rocket. Super filling and satisfying, the falafel themselves were moist and really flavoursome. Other dishes on the menu are always tasty. Always lots of variety on the menu too. Wish they would extend breakfast to all day or at least 1pm so you can get it for lunch though! Would be ideal. Coffee is also great and the dessert cabinet 😍

The mango cheesecake was nice, the Ferrero Rocher was a bit too sweet. Nice atmosphere. Cakes for the taste felt overpriced. The girl at the counter was kind, we had the cakes eat in, however the girl who served the coffee gave us a nice hint that the place is closing at 5. Not long after a waitress took one of the plate and said "you know we need to start cleaning up soon!" And 5-10 min later, again. We left around 5.15pm. I understand they want to close, but it's a little rude to tell it many times. Because of other commitment (coming from Sydney) we could only get there 4.30pm and after I read good reviews as a "must try" place I was interested. Left a bit disappointed.

Being that the chef is a patisserie it comes to no surprise the cakes are amazing. BUT there was only a couple things to eat on the breakfast menu that wasn't loaded with cream. My friend had the waffles and loved the additions but the actual waffles were disappointing. They looked like they came from woollies. So overall if your going for a cake it's a 10/10, but if your someone with dietary requirements I would look carefully at the menu before you book.

I had previously only had their milkshakes, which were excellent, so I was looking forward to a lunch. I ate with three friends and, although we had booked for two, the staff were able to accommodate us - including my friend's mobility scooter. I ordered the fish and chips and regretted it. The fish was dry and the chips and salad were bland. I left about half my meal. My friends ordered other dishes and said there's were excellent. It's a good sign when the wait staff who clear the table ask how the meal was (especially when there's food left over) but this did not happen. A disappointing visit.

Great look and atmosphere, amazing artwork in the cakes and plating, everything looks and sounds amazing (descriptions are mouth watering). Very insta-worthy according to our friend. Taste... Was ok. The unicorn waffle and banoffee waffles were very pretty, but bland, and a bit dry - sauces are used for decorations instead of flavouring. When I read banana waffles with dulce de leche, for the price I'm imagining it dripping with caramel - instead there were a couple of decorative dollops around the plate. Hubby had the fish tacos which he loved - amazing flavours in that dish! I ended up stealing one. He also said the French toast dish which was ok - he said the elements were nice but the French toast itself was bland and dry, but nice enough if you added them all together. Lamb salad was a winner with our friend. Haven't tried the cakes yet but they look very cool and sound great. I'll be back to give the food a second chance, but I agree with some of the other reviews here - so much focus on the art and presentation, maybe needs a little more focus on the flavours.

Clever, vibrant and innovative menu. The meals are beautifully presented and look very appealing when presented to your table. The order-at-the-counter may not appeal to everyone but certainly removes that end of meal delay/disagreement over bill splitting and or settling your meal bill. While I am ever surprised and disappointed that they do not open on a Sunday. But I acknowledge that's probably based on a business/staffing cost reasons. But would still love to be able to dine there on a Sunday.

I went to Space Kitchen to order a birthday cake. The food looked spectacular and the food we have taken away from here has been great. I was told that i could not order the cake and I was sent away to order online. There is no mention on the website that birthday cakes are only available by on line order. What has happened to customer service which is so important for return customers? I had intended to purchase a couple of small cakes to take home and to book for lunch in a few days. I will purchase the birthday cake online because I had promised the cake to a family member but with the customer service attitude I am not sure if I will be back in person....

went here to meet family, and happy that it had a vegan menu so i wouldn’t have to order something and remove everything. there are six (i think) items on the veggie menu, and the og menu has lots of choices. my food was good, and the servicing size was insane. the only two things i didn’t like, was the only alcohol the bar served was beer, wine and cider - and honestly, kind of wanted the restaurant to be space themed? i was really confused about the atmosphere with american number plates and rustic furniture. it’s a good place to meet for food for everyone and there’s wheelchair access :-)

Saturday midday breakfast (cos I like to sleep in), Service was prompt, friendly and efficient, it took no more than a minute and a half to be seated despite being extremely busy. You can observe the kitchen staff cooking, the scullery is hidden behind a wall. The food was very well executed by the army of kitchen staff, I had a simple 'small service' which consists of bacon eggs and tomato. All delicious. The food came surprisingly quickly, especially for how busy the Cafe was. The coffee is as good or better than anywhere in Canberra, however still not up to Sydney, Melbourne or Perth standards. Prices were slightly high, but not so much that it detracts from the establishment. The Cafe is a pay when you order set up. Over all it earns the five stars I've given it, and I highly recommend this Cafe.

Wonderful coffee and well-priced. They offer fresh juice as well, which is a nice change from all the places that struggle to get passed the notion of bottled juice. Food is fresh with decent serves (we were ridiculously full after!), although quite rich. The breakfast fritters were a little dry, but not an issue when mixed with everything else on the plate and were still full of flavour. The polenta waffles were an amazing take on the humble waffle, and the purees served with it were tasty and full of flavour as well. The eggs were also perfectly poached. Staff were friendly and helpful. We'll be back.

Probably the best eggs Benedict I've ever had. Perfect combination of flavours, fresh sharp tasting foccacia that is crispy all the way through, highest praise to the chefs. After a few more visits, while the food remains amazing, the coffee is a bit lacklustre, often brewed too weak or a cappuccino that is more water than milk or froth. The beans have a mild cocoa after taste, robust and musky faint hint of sour but not overpowering. Thank you to the friendly and accommodating staff members.

The desserts looked incredible and will draw me back, as will the menu. A fairly solid meal and (some) good moments. Just get coffee on your way there.

Being on the ground floor of a 7 level car park this place is both conveniently located to grab that sneaky coffee on your way to work, but unfortunately the 300 people who got to work before you thought of the same thing, so very long queues, not worth the wait in my opinion unless you're specifically trying to waste time.
