Popular with locals, this is a great place for a lazy Sunday brunch. Large clean venue with modern appeal and efficient friendly staff. Service is prompt. Carpark available, no Wi-Fi. Freshly baked sausage roll (6.5$), bacon egg roll with coffee combo (9$ !!!). He desserts are dellliiicious! Walking distance to city, great for business or date.

We ordered the pancakes and crepes which were perfectly cooked, more than enough to fill you up and the fruit salad was artfully decorated on the plate. The service was quick and efficient. I would love to go back here again and try the rest of their menu.

After a lazy Sunday at home, this was the perfect cafe to stroll into when we were in the mood for some decent grub. A huge variety of sandwiches, hot food, sweets and healthy offerings. Of course, we choose the cooked and deep fried food which was so damn satisfying! Friendly service and better value when you get your dish as part of a meal.

Also they keep changing menu, always bringing something new, of different variety and always yummy. Highly recommended. Definitely best value around. Healthy choices too, lots of green salad varieties and veggies, and delicious roast beef and pork. They are also open during the times when others are not which is always convenient. Kids love ice cream there which they find the best around. All the staff at the cafe are always smiley and friendly, never wait for food. Ticks all the boxes, definitely 5 stars! Never disappointed.

We dine at Cafe 21 less than we'd like too, because of the distance for us to drive.. However, we bought the whole family last week, and as per usual, everybody had a lovely meal and it was certainly worth a drive! Echoing other reviews, the outside of this place does not do justice to the interior! It's beautiful designed, gives off a stylish, cozy Cafe vibe. Open for long hours throughout the week, if you are craving for decent pastries and cake at 6 pm on a Sunday, this is definitely the place to go! Very friendly and polite staff. The cakes that I bought were decent, not bad but not great either. Would definitely visit again to try other items.

Absolutely great We went here twice for lunch with three kids two adults It has a vast array of brekky and lunch choices From pastries to sandwiches pies and muffins But of a really high quality But the real stars are the Asian salads Oh my goodness! Fresh as can be I had the Thai Chicken Salad two days in a row Fresh and delicious ! Ask for extra Thai dressing ! Perfect for the hot climate

Took my family here (2 adults, 2 teens) on a weekday morning. We sat inside with the air conditioning. Saw lots of people come through and get their takeaway coffees. The front counter staff and servers were lovely. Our food and coffee came out about 20 mins after ordering. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast plate (it had broccolini and quinoa among other things) and it was very very good. My husband and sons raved about their full (meat) breakfast plates too. A bit pricey, but worth it.

Pretty much the only place in town that understood my unusual order straight away; 4 poached eggs with bacon and hollandaise sauce without anything else, ie no toast and salads. Cheapest in town for that same order too! 😁 Keto friendly!

Uncle Sams has been a part of Darwin since I was knee high to a grass hopper. I remember they used to have the best burgers in the 90's. Cafe 21 has really stepped it up. Great variety, great flavour and the prices are cheap. Staff go out of there way to make everyone feel welcome, even the homeless guy that just wanted a glass of water. Breakfast, lunch or dinner all meals were great. A true Darwin icon.
