I can’t believe I hadn’t written my review yet. We often like to treat ourselves to a nice breakfast. I do a lot of cooking and put a huge amount of effort into my own dishes. So when I come across perfection in restaurants I’m impressed. And so I return. Therefore this review is based on more than one visitation. On arrival, We are always met with a smile from a happy enthusiastic proactive and efficient staff member as we enter. We’ve never had to wait too long for our food/drinks and its presentation is perfect. It’s taste is spot on and the options are equivalent to the best innovative new style breakfast restaurant you’ll encounter anywhere else in the world. While there is no water or mountain views, the courtyard gardens and city green belt are lovely to glimpse in the background. One day on our arrival, we decided to have lunch and skip their breakfast and we all were pleasantly surprised. The wine was top class…not expensive and our entire table were really happy with all our choices. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant and I always do.

The atmosphere is nice with the opportunity for both outdoor and indoor dining. The service was good which can easily be a missed attribute in Darwin. I had the crispy chicken burger and unfortunately, it didn't tick any box other than it was the right temperature and stopped the hunger gap. I expected more flavour considering all the elements included but it all was just quite bland. The coffee was bitter though didnt taste burnt🤔 My friend had suggested Fresh Point because she had previously had a great experience with the taste of the food.unfortunately she didn't enjoy her meal either. Perhaps a different chef🤷 or...

I ordered the eggs benedict and a mocha coffee. It's refreshing to receive this beverage in a glass at the correct temperature so that the glass is not hot to touch. The staff were friendly and efficient: Clearing my plate when I was finished as they were quietly paying attention to all their clientele. The fans here are a welcome respite from the heat and the sounds of bird life from the nearby botanic gardens are pleasant. I'd recommend this place and it is right within the scooter zone so a good place to visit for a longer trip when you're staying in town. There are many interesting things on the menu that I look forward to coming back and trying. Also dogs and bicycles are catered to here. There are hangers to stash your bicycle and a dog water station.

I stayed in the apartments behind this restaurant for a week, and on my first day was delighted to find this place downstairs with good coffee and a nice menu. For lunch on my second day I ordered the garlic prawn pasta. It was delicious. The prawns were fresh and the dish was full of flavour. Probably the best garlic prawns I'd had for years. The next day I went down for coffee in the morning but when I went to order at the counter (as I had done the previous day) one of the male waiters (the tallest one - I think he might have been the duty manager) told me brusquely to sit down outside and he would come and take my order (there wasn't any notice indicating whether it was counter service or table service). He didn't come to take my order so after 15 minutes I went back inside and he told me to sit down again. During that period I noticed he was taking orders from people at other tables who arrived after me, so I gave up and went around the corner to the Karma Cafe and ordered coffee there instead. Their service was much better and the coffee just as good, so I ended up going there for the rest of the week. However, on my second last day I decided to go back to Fresh Point to have their garlic prawn pasta again for lunch, despite the rude waiter, because it was so good, but this time the prawns didn't taste fresh and the dish was flavourless. It had obviously been prepared by a different chef. That night I had food poisoning. Of course, I can't prove it was their prawns, but I had eaten nothing else that day other than my usual breakfast, so I strongly suspect it was the prawns because they didn't taste right when I ate them (lesson learned). So the best description that I can give Fresh Point is that it's "variable". I should add that the female wait staff were very friendly, but the male waiter that kept ignoring me needs to take a course in customer service.

Love this cafe - food and coffee always excellent The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is that I’ve lived in Darwin for 2 years and they haven’t updated the menu once. It would be nice to try some new things.

Excellent food and service. They are pet friendly so our dog was able to sit with us on the balcony. It's a really nice atmosphere with beautiful plants and water surrounding you. Some of the menu options are novelty items (ie those crazy icecream shakes) which made me a bit unsure about how much effort they would put into the rest of the menu. We ordered the berry pancakes, bacon and eggs and the potato cakes. Presentation was great and we loved everything. The potato cakes were the stand out dish. Menu has lots of gluten free options including the pancakes! Thanks for a wonderful breakfast :)

I had the heaven bowl, it was one of the most bland dishes I have ever had. Canned corn, barely warm & the spice dukkah was missing. I had added mushrooms to the dish that had no flavor. I loved your Bellamack store, but Parap just wasn’t the same.

Garlic prawn pasta can be better. Almost has no taste but the pasta is perfectly cooked. Generous servings of prawns too. I had soy, banana chocolate coffee smoothie, not sweet and just like how i imagined it would be. Nice seatings too.

Airy, open and quite good outlook from the alfresco area. Foods good, service is special. Nice place to sit and meet people. Fairly quiet, built up neighbourhood, well landscaped area and has a modern, real city feel to it, if you are looking for that. The body corp or building managers could take more care with the neglected wall of greenery. Either water the plants or get rid of the lovely feature plants that are dying from neglect and reflect badly on the restaurant. Its not their wall but they pay the price of the effect of neglect. Dining around dying plants doesn't work. I will be back for the restaurant and nice seating area, comments about the greenery are not directed at the restaurateurs. Enjoy it.

Have tried a fair bit of the food here. The presentation of the food is great and generous serving sizes. Pancakes and fancy shakes are huge. Have previously ordered chips that arrived stone cold and unsalted, and hot drinks don’t go above a regular size for dine-in. Hopefully these are teething issues.

I've found Fresh Point mostly on point with breakfast items, juices, and coffee. Today I switched it up, expecting a quality double cheeseburger considering its high price point. What arrived was all good ... except for the burger patties themselves. It has been a long time since I've encountered anything quite like them. Some kind of densely coagulated monstrosity of pseudobeef abattoir saw floor scrapings, glued together with a dense, cardboard textured filler type substance flavoured with something akin to hamburger helper or other retrograde chemical 'bbq' flavouring. I began to expect no genuine meat content existed in the meal as the substance neither responded well to chewing, or tasted remotely like what might be described as beef. Overall, the experience was confusing because apart from the joyless slabs at the heart of the act, the whole rig was pretty epic. All show and no go as they say. On the positive side I feel so incredibly bloated as the cellulose or whatever the hell I've eaten has expanded in my gut, that I expect I won't need to eat a meal for at least four days, or until the godforsaken mess finally makes its way through my hapless gut. I dread the day that finally happens, knowing full well that the patties' rebirth will be a painful saga, and that I only have myself to blame for greedily insisting on getting the full twenty six buck value of the horrific leviathan, by insisting on swallowing not just my pride, but every last dreadful carboniferous morsel.

From Brisbane, but travel to Darwin very often. Saw a friend post this on their page, so went there for breakfast x 4 people, then the next day for freaky shakes x 4 (for the kids) Presentation is a 10/10 on both occasions. Portion sizes are a 10/10. Nothing worse than eating out and not feeling satisfied. Service staff is a 10/10 both from front counter and dining. Pricing is personal perspective, I certainly don’t mind paying $20 minimum for a meal that looks great, tastes great and I struggle to finish it. Wait times approx 15-20mins (maybe longer if place is packed out) Well done to the owner, manager/s and all staff, your customer service, food and venue is great. You have a repeat customer locked in 👌

We came today as a big group without booking, but staff very helpful and gave us table. We ordered both breakfast and lunch. That crispy chicken burger is to die for, and we tried the biscoff pancake, it was very enjoyable and different. Coffee was nice as well. Will come back for sure. Bookings might needed on weekends as they’re packed. But overall, it’s awesome!

Was getting sick of driving out to Palmerston from Darwin for the best Crispy chicken burger And coffee in town! Now they have one in the city (Parap). Love their smoothies too.. Ginger Ninja and the Green Juice one. Great after a big weekend to restore the Balance! Staff are always friendly and professional.
