Rapid Cafe and Overtone Cafe operate together. Dish preparations are shared between both kitchens. Udon pork/egg in light soya base soup (not Udon or Ramen - just noodles); add spices and salt as preferred. Little flavour, but blend. Simple friendly clean place. Service is efficient, BYO beer (discrete). Take away possible. Bus No. 4 or 10.

My favourite Japanese restaurant in Darwin. Japanese cuisine that is delicious and very affordable. Serving sizes are good and it doesn't take long for the food to come out. The karage fried chicken and vegetable croquettes are my go to meals. Great for dates or casual meals with friends.

Amazing find in the middle of rapid creek. Looks very unassuming from the outside but has amazing Japanense food. Always quick and friendly service and you can tell how popular this place is with locals by the number of people who come through for takeaway. I highly recommend the seaweed salad and chicken katsu udon.

Love this place, they make authentic katsu curry which I'm a big fan of. In fact, given they have only okayish gyoza and sushi (and don't mind their takoyaki), their katsu curry is the only reason I frequent this place. The venue is a little plain, and I wish they'd be open later at night.
