A tiny hole in the wall that makes one great thing - coffee! Super friendly staff and great customer service; combined with really great coffee. Criterion Street is a great food and shopping escape from the boring sameness of the mall and Ecru is the perfect compliment to that experience - good different. Perfect spot to catch some morning sun and matching brew.

Fantastic coffee and friendly staff. Went here every morning on a work trip to Hobart. It's just a hole in the wall place so no indoor seating and only for takeaway. I wish it opened a bit earlier.

A great place to get coffee in the morning before work. Generally the coffee is made quite well and doesn't take too long. They have a fair few different staff work here but quality is surprisingly consistent. There's usually a few treats you can buy as well, but it's main purpose is take away coffee. There is some outdoor seating.

A hole in the wall by any other name. I love cafes like this. Its almost as if they don't want to interrupt your life and so just offer up what you, which is the coffee. You can always sit on the tables on Criterion St but that almost feels like a compromise to the standing only feel of the place. The coffee is good, and it is almost always open on public holidays. They do a roaring trade on Sunday's when the Farmers Gate Markets on on Bathurst St.
