Love it. Good vibe. Cool seating. Great food and the Service from Lewis today was very helpful, prompt and Funny! I love to go there when its quiet but you never feel pushed to order ...... Love the couch/old mirrors/chandelier corner and the drinks are quite well priced. Happy customer.

Went for the Hobart Jazz festival. This was organised in a professional way. The venue was packed and there was a 50% deal for main meals. Staff are down to earth friendly and really helpful. I highly recommend going here during happy hour.

Went there for lunch Sat 19th Dec. The staff were friendly & helpfull. The meal was very good , I had chicken snitzel chips & salad. We would definitely go back again. We asked one of the staff if they'd put the tv on so we could watch the cricket but he couldn't find the remote which seemed a bit weird.

An excellent music venue & restaurant & bar! They book the best performers locally & interstate & sometimes international as well! Excellent dance floor where I rocked out 2 Christmas's ago when I was staying with my girlfriend Meagan! I had an awesome excellent experience at this bar & cafe! Well worth checking out! It has a huge private back yard table area! It's a very popular & cool place!

This is a great pub. The Republic Bar have some of the best acts in Australia and from around the world coming down to play. Local acts are always getting good spots here too. They have a massive beer garden out back, great food, an art gallery and upstairs for events. The staff are very friendly and love to have a chat when it's not too busy. This pub is very friendly to the local Aboriginal Community. Go see boil up play on a Friday night and dance, chat to a stranger, run in to people. Borrow a smoke from a cousin. Love the repub.

Jack Daniel's marinated steak is always a winner. I had the 300g sirloin this week. One of the best steaks I've had in a very long time. Beef cheeks, lamb shanks, pumpkin & fetta linguine. All excellent. Great service always Excellent drink selection

Best squid in the world. Nice selection of beers including craft and more normal run of the mill ones to. Resteraunt quality and style food. Always check the specials board the chefs are super creative and always on point. Exceptional and friendly service.

A great all-round pub in North Hobart. A good selection of drinks, decent food and a nice outdoor smokers area with plenty of seating. Often have small gigs and events but most popular as a good place to have a drink. Surprisingly open quite late on a Sunday, which I like. :)

Looking past its exterior and listening past the music on tonight, this pub offers a great selection of beers, knowledgeable bar staff, and surprisingly good gastro pub fare (we had the beef cheeks and the lamb rump special). Well worth visiting if you're into good beer and great pub food.

They need a better booking agent as the majority of the bands are covers bands rehashing really bad songs from the 70, 80, 90s. Why? Great pub with great potential. Let's attract real music to Hobart and Tas. Small renovations could turn this place into a premier place.

The Republic is fantastic for just about anything... Great food, cold beer, live music, friendly crew and a pretty good crowd to boot. There's an upstairs room available to be booked for private functions. In North Hobart makes it pretty central... Do yourself a favour, drop in and say g'day.

One of my favorite pubs in all of hobart. Lets start with the great food. Made from local tasmanian produce. I had the seafood platter which was abosuletly spot on. A lovely dip into the 90's. Grungy, yet polite, attentive service, and one of the few venues in Hobart open later than nine o'clock.
