One of my favourite places in Melbourne. The coffee is sublime, and the Portuguese chicken baguette is to die for. I'll be in South Melbourne craving the food and coffee at this place, and drive all the way to Coburg....! And they have that awesome coffee-connesseur's sugar too, whatever it's called. Love it!

Always great coffee and super friendly owner… you will only notice his hearing impediment because he will ask you to remove your mask to order. He is extremely skilled at reading people’s lips and he will serve you with great sense of humour!

Coffee is always magnificent and they use panels which is the top shelf of sugar and seven times as expensive not to mention Campo's coffee which I've never had anywhere and been disappointed. Add to this that the owner,Warren is deaf and can read lips is pretty amazing!! Keep doing what you are doing guys👍

An oasis of great specialty coffee in Coburg, with the crew in charge of mastering the great Industry Beans Rose Street blend, rotating single origins and filter coffees. Friendly, welcoming service, smashing quality coffee professionalism, and delicious menu options. And an unbelievably good Ginger toast that's worth crossing town for. Great spot!

Mixed vibes and feelings. Good coffee but the cakes/pastries are always old and stale and the cafe itself is far from inviting. If they just did it up a little and fresh cakes, would be a treat. Reply to owner: yes I have the right place, by cake I meant brownies! 100% correct place, I have been many times for coffee as a local and every time I got a pastry hoping it would be okay, it was always stale.

Fantastic coffee and croissants EVERY TIME! Do not waste your time going anywhere else in the area (don’t go O’hey’s cafe terrible coffee, service and food despite all the second chances I try to give that place). This place hands down has the best coffee, the owners (Guy with long hair and his wife) are so friendly and warm. Fantastic service, would walk 10min just to come here! I Usually go for those fancy looking brunch places but this place has such a Cosy and welcoming vibe.

For a tiny cafe they sure are good! Coffee is perfect here. I had a simple ham, cheese and tomato sandwich and it was actually super tasty. The staff were so friendly and were throughly cleaning the store in between orders. Made me feel comforted that the store was clean and sanitary. Well done! Will definitely return!

I went in for a trial , barista was really helpful and gave some tips on making coffee . Warren was super kind and greeted me in my main language (korean). Even got a cuppa after my trial. Im just glad i got to experience taking part in their trial process i learned alot. I hope you find the right barista :) im definitely coming for a 2nd cup of coffee, cheers

Dunno what to say - seemed to have a good vibe. But the guy making the coffee didn't seem to be in a great hurry or that friendly when we ordered - waited a long time for the coffee which was okay. There was a queue of take out orders in front of us. So maybe an off day - short staffed. Not local to the area so not that fussed.

Food was great. Coffee was fine. Atmosphere was awful though. Never appetising watching the boss consistently telling off his staff who were working bloody hard. Made for a cold environment. The guy needs to learn better management techniques and train his staff in a less haphazard and more kind way.

Cute place, coffee was great. Somehow the pre-made sandwich I got was super oily and took 15 minutes to heat up but overall was good. Biggest disappointment was to hear the staff being told off in front of customers though, not a very good vibe to give off in a quite cafe full of customers!

Stopped in at 8th Nerve Cafe after reading some reviews. It certainly has a vibe - retro home meets Melbourne hipster. The coffee was okay, but nothing special. I ordered the Portuguese baguette and have to say it was pretty ordinary. I had high hopes with this place, a dainty cafe where I could just get a regular sandwich and avoid the over-the-top panache that other cafes seem to thrive upon. Unfortunately 8th Nerve fails to deliver what I was craving - strikingly simple and fresh. Instead it was average, and while it would be fine if I lived nearby as a local coffee house, it's not worth the travel to check it out.

Great food, okay coffee. Unfortunately the waitress's English is not quiet there yet, which makes it difficult if you need to ask allergy questions or make small substitutions to an order. But that is not really too big of a problem.

8th Nerve is famous for their amazing Portuguese chicken rolls - it is a must if you go here. Their coffee is fantastic and the staff are super friendly!! One of our local favourites. :-)

Coffee is good but the Eggs Atlantic is too salty. Salty smoked salmon topped with poached eggs and salty hollandaise sauce with no spinach or anything to tone down the saltiness is just too much on the palate and doesn't worth $15 value in comparison to other cafés standard.
