they only been opening for weeks, they’re clean, fresh. the server was definitely the sweetest, nicest. amazing coffee. love the iced latte, strong coffee taste and smooth. also, they selling dessert and chocolate from Mörk chocolate, the good and high quality chocolate in melbourne. try some, you won’t regret.

Almost leave 1 star cus the white guy with no apron might be supervisor or something. a bit rude, cold, ignore, not even say hi. After we sat in, the other waitstaff so friendly and doing a great job! definitely comeback to try more dishes.

Looking for a chic, sparkly venue to stop for lunch, brunch, funch or whatever the fudge you want on a lazy weekend? Well, look no further, for this is where you want to be. Food, good. Coffee, strong. Interior, comfy. Staff, could use a few more of them at this time. They can get pretty swamped when it gets busy, orders can go missing, but I can live with it. The portion can be a bit more standardized too. The burger was massive, and for that price, I'm more than happy with it. The salmon however was quite frankly, eyebrow raising, considering we're in Australia, we've got Tasmania for that. It's not even Alaskan salmon, so there's no reason for it to look so... What's the word, petty. Taste was top notch however, but I'd like to see something done about that, and I can get quality risotto from Lygon too, so saying "It's got risotto." isn't going to cut it. TL;DR go for the wagyu burger, coffee, juices and pastries. Kick back & let the atmosphere sink in.

Love the original Au79 in Abbotsford so decided to check this out. We were promptly seated with menus and water on arrival in the brightly lit, spacious setting. The duck confit leg on roti had a honey like sweetness that was balanced by the salad on a bed of pumpkin puree. The first few bites piqued the taste buds, making it an enjoyable experience. My friend's Porto and smashed avo toast was tasty but cold - should it be? Staff were friendly throughout the visit and even let us split bills. For our choices, serves are on the small side so the very hungry should consider other offerings. From what we saw of other dishes, food presentation is part of the package for the creators aiming for the gold standard.

My partner and I stopped in for a quick coffee. We had decided to give the cafe a five star review before we even tasted the food. The service was prompt, professional and friendly. We were well looked after. We only had the time for a couple of coffees and a muffin. All were fantastic and the staff had great knowledge of their menu. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re at the Emporium.

Best I ever had for a very long time. The golden standard of Melbourne cafe food. The executive chef knows his stuff. Thank you for bringing us a wonderful food experience which we missed for a very long time. Keep up with the good work. We will for sure come back again to try all the other dishes.

Ordered the duck confit and wagyu burger. The duck was great, albeit a small portion. The burger on the other hand was nigh impossible to eat, the buns were too thick and not toasted, disappointing there. Finally, they have several ads in store saying they take liven payments, so we got a care package to use for this occasion. However, we could not use it under the excuse that they just opened, so another disappointment there. Overall, room for improvement, especially at the price point.
