This is my second time eating at this cafe. They have a new menu, and great to see that the dishes are so tempting as usual! It’s hard to decide what we should have. Presentation and taste are excellent, and service is great too. Would recommend you try out this place for brunch the next time you are in Melbourne Central. Would be great if the tea is served with tea leaves instead of tea bag.

Having walked past this cafe for years in MC, I finally gave it a try and it did not disappoint. They have some classic brunch dishes, as well a cool unique twist on a chicken waffle by doing it on crispy HK egg bubble waffles! The serving portion for the shakshuka was also very generous - not enough bread to soak it all up! My favourite was the panna cotta with a very rich and creamy vanilla flavour.

We ordered Steak Sanga (highly recommended by my friend!), Chicken Waffle, Asian Chilli Scramble, Shashuka. I didn't expect much but @billyscentral really exceeded my expectation. Steak Sanga was actually really delicious. I expected a mediocre sandwich but it was juicy, rich, and flavoursome. It was as tasty as most renowned brunch cafes in the area, if not better! We were all pleasantly stuffed by the end of it + I liked how it wasn't super busy. I ADORE this place!!! I have had so much off their menu, it's hard to choose what's my fave. However, I ate recently their Crispy chicken waffle!! Blimey! It rocked my tastebuds. Probably THE BEST breakfast I've ever had. I'm a savoury lover for brekky particularly if it combines a bit of everything. I'm just in Melbourne for a week and this is my last day before heading back to Brissy and this meal was worthy of my last here. Their Chicken Waffle had beeeautifully cooked chicken with a rasher of bacon, well cooked fried egg and little bits of chilli and jalapeño. That's not the best part. Underneath were these fluffy waffle bubbles and a delicious spicy mayo on the side to dip everything in. And if you want, you can turn your bacon into maple bacon because they give you maple syrup on the side. MY GOD I've never eaten anything both so slow and so fast because of how much I loved it. Also, service is absolutely lovely. They use the right vocabulary and they approach you with friendliness and patience. Lastly, the environment is beautiful. They have a wonderfully designed interior section as well a lovely view if you wish to sit outside. Will be back for sure!

Tucked away in the corner of Melbourne Central, next to the link bridge to Emporium (level 2), I ordered the Smashed Avocado - blistered cherry tomatoes, house made dukkah, fetta crumbles, chilli flakes on toasted sourdough with fresh snow pea tendril and extra virgin olive oil.. and I opted to add poached egg for an additional $3. I love the presentation of the dish, and could have enjoyed it more if there was more taste. I just felt something was missing... maybe its the egg or the seasoning... I may come back and try their sweet dishes instead. Coffee was decent.

GREAT OPTION FOR EARLY BREAKFAST WHEN SHOPPING AT EMPORIUM Discovered this gem today while hunting for a place that was open in Emporium for breakfast. Technically it's just inside Melbourne Central as you walk across the bridge from the food court level in Emporium. Great service. Our waiter explained the menu, got us started with coffee and and green tea while we worked our way through the quite extensive menu that offers all day dining. There is an inner dining area (where we sat) as a well as many more tables in the open area adjacent to the bridge walk. You can stop by just for a coffee or have a meal. There is also bench seating with laptop power supply for those digital nomads wanting to work while eating / drinking here! I ordered the "breakfast board" (see picture below) which was an interesting mix of sweet potato crumpet, soft poached egg, salmon, heirloom tomato and greens, a delicious granola and a watermelon drink... very fresh and full of flavour. A very generous serving size as well. My eating companion had a simpler toast, avocado and mushroom dish that was equally as fresh and well presented. The green tea was served in a generous-sized japanese teapot. The coffee was just right for me (I like my long black with a bite but not too bitter). The staff stopped by the table a few times to make sure everything was OK. My companion decided to have a coffee (after the green tea) as we were finishing our breakfast and the waiter thoughtfully offered the option of a takeaway coffee if we'd prefer.. great anticipatory customer focus! The restaurant is very modern and comfortable. People with mobility issues will have no problems at all as its all completely level and there are no steps and generous spaces between tables. Public toilets are just nearly in the Emporium Food Court as well as in Melbourne Central. The restaurant takes credit cards and cash. Overall - great menu, good service and a nice alternative to the Emporium Food Court.. we'll be back!

Very generous portions! We ordered the breakfast platter with bacon, vegan option Sweet Potato Gnocchi and the Zucchini Super Salad. First, the breakfast platter was presented filled with colours. It would have been a healthier option had I not added bacon. The watermelon smoothie is quite light to taste, you can tell they didn't add any sugar. This plate is a bit of everything, a good choice for someone that can't decide what to eat. We found it a little interesting and a bit weird that the bricher smoothie had a smashed avocado under the plastic bowl, apparently it was to hold the bowl down, thats some expensive avo glue 😂 The Zucchini Super Salad, massive portion of greens, the cooked zucchini was nice, this was also a vegan option, so it didn't come with a poached egg. Sweet Potato came last, again it was a good portion, so much that we couldn't finish it. This is a richer dish, quite heavy even as a vegan option. Good experience, there is room for improvement though. The wait was a little longer than expected.

Great location on level 2 of Melbourne central shopping centre. Billy’s Central is located right where the adjoining bridge to The Emporium is. Coffees and meals were wonderful. They have an all day menu consisting of breakfast/lunch mains. Everything was cooked to perfection, I just can’t get over how nicely everything was cooked. The eggs we ordered were exactly right. Would love to be back.

Billy's central always a 10/10. Consistent coffee due to the care of the baristas and attention to detail. A conversation with any of the friendly staff members is always a pro, they'll recommend if you ask. I recommend the Korean chicken burger, or if you're in a rush grab a coffee.

I passed the cafe many times but never had the courage to sit in and try the food. Yesterday was quite an experience: most delicious parma and chips I haven't had for a long time, and the serving is pub-grade. Unfortunately I was so full that I failed to finish all the chips, but I did wash down the parma and most chips with a delicious latte. Great service from two young ladies, and the orders all arrived at the table quickly.

Billy's Central is one of my go to coffee spots in Melbourne Central. They get the coffee just right and it gets made quickly. I've also tried their cabinet food, I think it was the banana bread, which was nice. The brunch menu looks great - will have to check it out next time.

I ate here a while back and have been meaning to leave a review but haven't had a chance to until now as I am currently craving soft shell crab. I had lunch here with a couple of friends, their partners, and bubs and the service was amazing. The soft shell crab croissant was also delectable. The next time I am in town I will definitely be coming back!

Friendly staff, good food. I had the French toast, an interesting mixture of brioche bread, marscapone, fried banana, berries and "salted milk crumble". Really delicious. The only thing that detracted from it was the sweetpeas, though I know are edible they're not actually that tasty, and having to cut off the tops of all the halved strawberries. Just seemed a little unnecessary. Everything was very delicious and looked good otherwise.

Decided to stop in for a pit-stop mid shop, the re fuel they provided was delicious - I chose mine based on what the guy seated at the table next to me was having, I deduced it was the Chicken Parma, and confidently ordered one for myself, crispy outer, perfectly cooked chicken, just what I needed. We chose to sit outside the main shop (which I guess is still in the mall) this provided us with prime people watching views, and even views of people potentially watching other people, through the binoculars stationed in the mall bridge that connects the buildings. Natural light floods in through the glass of this opening also. Left feeling full, and refreshed!

Have eaten here many times, favourite foods include the korean chicken burger, soft shell crab, pulled pork benedict, lamb ragu fettucine. Would highly recommend the burger options! The milk bun is just perfect, very filling, def worth the price. Coffee is alright, matcha latte is really good, would also recommend the green goodness esp for those who are vegan and is not a sweet tooth.

The staffs here were so nice! I lost my phone after leaving the restaurant so I went back to find it. Three staffs helped me look for my phone in the store and taught me how to use Find iphone to locate it through gps. They even told me how to lock my phone in case it has been stolen.
