Recently I ordered a number of the grazing picnic platters for some small events for my birthday. For what I paid per head I received far more than I was expecting. The quality of the food was outstanding as was the taste. My friends are still mentioning different bits that they loved. Also, Helena was so flexible (with appropriate warning of a few days) when weather meant one event was changed. I highly recommend that for your next picnic that you order one of these. Delicious!

Fantastic big breakfast. Tastes amazing, and they gave us an extra plate to use as my partner was only eating a small amount of my breakfast. Friendly service and the place was clean and tidy. A proper ld fashioned big breakfast right in the heart of Melbourne.

Definitely would visit again. Previous Review: Staff kept me waiting for 15 mins in line as he chatted away with a couple infront of me. No sale or anything just gossip. Very disappointed.

During work lunch times, this place is chock a block with lines out the door. The salads are very popular, and their al la carte menu has variety. The worker crowd line up in an orderly fashion, know what they want, and stand to the side and wait patiently. Service is friendly, there's lots of staff running around, but it's organised and effective. It's all hands on deck at lunch time. I got their special of the day which was pulled pork with a roasted cauliflower, kale and sweet potato salad. It was delicious, and well worth the wait. For $12, it was delicious, filling and worth its value. I look forward to trying new things.

Beautiful freshly made food, a sizeable selection of ready made healthy tasty salads, sandwich’s, wraps + menu items I’ve never had a bad meal here and come everyday with my workmates as I’m currently working close by. Long standing of 20 years it’s proven the test of time, one of the increasingly hard to find cafes in Melbourne that isn’t trying to be ‘cool’ and instead just brings good honest food with no pretentiousness, highly recommend.

One of the best cafes I found in Melbourne! Great food, the blueberry pancake was so good at first, but it was kind of disappointing that at the second time it wasn’t just as good after I brought my friend with me. If only they could have consistency it would be amazing! Apart from that this is a really good place for a value for money breakfast!

One of my favourite go-to’s when working in the city! Food is always fresh, tasty, not over priced! Heaps of variety, friendly service and seating available! Their lunch deals are always a hit, especially the burgers. I love the salad bar, i could eat their salads every day and I’d never be bored. I’ve also purchased from their Corner Shop during covid-19 and their take home meals are yummy and affordable. Highly recommend the mac and cheese and their sticky date pudding. Support small business. ♥️

Salads are nice - caesar, Vietnamese chicken slaw, and the elusive lemongrass chicken are winners. When busy you can wait an unacceptable amount of time to be served scooped salad, so I would go elsewhere.

Friendly and helpful staff. Efficient ordering. Had a burger here for lunch and it was good. The outside seating is lovely however with the burger there was a bit too much sauce on there and it kept dripping all over the place with no tissues around as they dont send tissues with the food. Since the seats are so very very close to each other, it is almost impossible to get out to get tissues. It was just messy to eat. Make sure you get plenty of tissues before finding a table.

Great food. Love their salad varieties especially Kales and Almond salad. The homemade meatball stew is the best during winter. Beef burger and southern chicken burger are priced reasonably not too expensive unlike some burger place charging 15 dollar for just a burger without chips.

I come to this place most days of the week for breakfast, lunch a snack or just a coffee. Great variety on the menu; I recommend the chicken burger special on Tuesdays and Fridays - great value and on a good day probably the best burger I've ever had. Meals on the rare occasion taste a little old as though they've been reheated, but it certainly hasn't been enough to turn me away. Definitely my go-to cafe in this part of town.

Only $5 for breakfast scones with jam and butter. Guess what? It come with a regular coffee. You may pick different type of scones, like raisin, or just plain. Value for money. Coffee... Awesome.. Breakfast... Amazing... I love my Eggs Benedict, and this place has mastered it, from the fresh ingredients used, to how it's displayed on the plate, all show a lot of care and time going into the meals prepared by the obviously very talented chefs, oh and the hollandaise sauce is insanely good. The restaurant has been well designed, nice and bright and puts you in the right mood to enjoy the delicious food, it's a shame it ends so quickly. I highly recommend this place, It's my top choice for breakfast in the CBD, you will not be disappointed!!

We frequent Corner and Bench at work - a reliable selection of salads and lunch specials. Breakfast items (wraps etc) are a little overpriced to be regular but good as a treat.

Serving a big breakfast (eggs Benedict with sides) in a large bowl instead of a plate makes no sense to me (the juice served in a jar instead of a ever-reliable glass I can tollerate), but when there's no room on the plate, it makes it hard to enjoy. A few issues communicating with staff didn't help. Food was okay, but this wouldn't be my first choice next time.
