Food was really tasty and good portions, I found the bar staff and waiters had great customer service skills, cheerful, they had a great vibe, Made the experience better than just having a meal.

Great pub with really interesting period features, it's like stepping back in time. It's also a lot bigger inside than expected. The venue is split up into various areas including bars, bistro, a huge reception space and gaming area. There are lots of little nooks and crannies to explore including displays of historical clothing, shop fronts, blacksmithing tools, horse drawn carriage etc. The service in the bistro was efficient and the food we had was well prepared and good value for money. Fish served in the fish and chips was barramundi, beautiful and succulent, light crispy batter and a generous serve. Buffalo wings with blue cheese dipping sauce was very spicy hot, just as they should be. All up a good experience that we will be repeating.

Need more GF options eg risotto, gf pasta, gf bruschetta, potatoes as served with the barramundi to be able to be served with steak, ribs etc as a gf option. 7/100 people have coeliac and more people gluten intolerant. Its not a choice like vegan/vegetarian. Update with the times.

First time of having a meal here, certainly won't be the last time. All 21 of us enjoyed our meals, steak was tender, calamari tender, fall of the bone ribs with just right kick to the bbq sauce, the list could go on. Staff were pleasant and efficient, no waiting for a person's meal, all were rolled out one after the other. Interesting place with lots of history, thoroughly enjoyed, certainly recommend for a nice bistro meal.

Caught up with a mate for a beer and meal. Had the chicken breast parma and it was spot on, still moist and tender with a nice smokey flavour to the sauce and the cheese was just at the right point. Chips where hot and fresh and the side salad was crisp and well dressed. The Beer (Mountain Goat on Tap) was cold and the table service was great.

We booked the Keilor Hotel for my birthday dinner. The staff was friendly and got our drinks order straight away. Bonus points for getting our drinks straight away. Our entrees were great. Followed by our mains. No room for a dessert. No one on our table had any issues on the night. The food was great quality. Great night, great food and drinks, great service. We will be back again.

Service is slow. You have a two hour dining time but the waitress was slow in taking our order. So by the time we received our meals, the staff were checking their watches and hurrying us along. As soon as you put your cutlery down they came and ripped your plate away. It wasn't our fault that our meals came so late, so didn't appreciate being hurried. I realise they are following covid safety rules but they need to get their act together on arrival then. Also my husband ordered an entree that never arrived. This has happened to one of our dining party everytime we eat here. So nothings changed. At least the meals, when we did get them, were of a decent size and qaulity was okay. We have always had service issues when dining here,so it's something that obviously needs to be addressed.

We ordered for the first time after finding them online. Super fast delivery. The meal has exceeded our expectations. We had chick schnitzel, lemon pepper calamari and porcine gnocchi. The calamari tender and crisp. Schnitzel perfect. The gnocchi was amazing. Would definately recommend for the perfect t pub meal at home during this lockdown! We will be ordering again.

This historic pub has so many great qualities. The old stone walls, the open fireplace, the additional decor in hallways to complete the feel, the food which was amazing. What a shame that the service was so poor! We waited a half hour before someone took our order, our meals came but we had to chase up our drinks. Half an hour after we had finished our main meal our plates had still not been cleared and our desserts never arrived. So an hour and a half after we first arrived we gave up and left. Even then, there were no staff to be seen and had we been dishonest we could easily have walked out without paying. When a staff member finally appeared we discovered that our desserts had never been put through the system! We have had better service at less impressive establishments. I doubt we will ever go back.

The food was pretty good, I felt like it was a little on the pricey side for pub food. And it really irritated me that they wouldn't split the bill. It meant I had to get cash out and they said I had to go to the pokies to do that. So then it cost me an extra dollar when I felt like I was already paying too much. Pretty much everyone at our table enjoyed there meal though and they did a good job bringing it all out together.

Ups: Solid bistro menu, good sized portions and reasonably priced. Large dining area is busy most nights but doesn't get overly loud. Many tables set-up for bigger groups. They have kids activity packs for a few dollars. Downs: Kids menu is basically smaller versions of the normal menu which may not suit younger fussy eaters. No split bills.

Yeah, nice looking pub with some cool things to look at. Took a while for the waiter to take our order, and thats ok. Parma was pretty good, except my chips and salad turned into chips and slightly undercooked veggies (even for me) They don't have take away containers (especially for meat dishes which worries me kinda) so bring your own if you don't usually eat your entire meal. Prices probably on par with all the pubs in the area, serving size was quite decent.

This hotel/pub should be one of the best in the Western Suburbs. The historic hotel itself is a beautiful throwback to yesteryear and worth a a visit on that alone. Had a mediocre dining experience at the Bistro a couple of years back and stayed away but went again today and was hoping to be hooked - didn’t happen though. Once again the charm of the building was the highlight. The service was average with long waits and incorrect billing. The food ok without being above average (chewy fat on lamb souvlaki meat). Bloody shame as this always had potential to be an amazing venue. Needs an overhaul to keep up with modern times whilst maintaining the heritage. Examples would be kids play area, more simplistic billing with group bookings, tables where you can fit legs. Get some decent bands playing outside at night perhaps? Good luck and hope you listen to patron’s feedback to Keilor Hotel great again

This is a colonial era public house with some interesting memorabilia on display. The bistro is a large open area inside the hotel with an old fashioned fire billowing towards one corner. The bistro has a comprehensive menu range moderately priced. There are big screens on the walls so that people can follow sporting events while dining if they choose.

I've had lunch and dinner at the hotel several times in the last few months and I couldn't fault it. I had the Seafood Hot Pot and my girlfriend had the Risotto and they were both delicious. The meals were huge and NEARLY struggled to finish them :) The service was excellent from the moment we walked in and right up until we left. I would recommend anyone to go here as you definitely get value for money. In regards to their new "Friday Nights", I have been down to two of them. Both times, the band was excellent and the Pizzas are amazing. Such a great idea and I look forward to being at many more in the summer.

Very hard to fault this place. Came here on a Wednesday night at 6pm and it was sprinkled with a few patrons but within an hour it was very busy. The service and staff are excellent. Big shout outs to Jarrod (sorry if I got the spelling wrong), Ali and Ashley who were attentive without being intrusive. We had the oysters kilpatrick and saganyaki then the arachini balls and the steak. Everything was fresh, tasty and excellent portion sizes. To top it off we had a bottle of Pepperjack Shiraz. Perfect. I would've snapped pics but frankly on this occasion, it didn't seem apporopriate. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking out the front or around the side.

I was a little shocked by some of the really bad scathing reviews of this place. I can't agree with them as the calamari was quite good and my wife enjoyed the burger a lot. It is expensive however especially for alcohol - for eg a 250ml Pepperjack red wine is $16 and you could buy a bottle for $20 at Dan Murphys. Staff were good though- attentive and the food came out quickly on this Thurs night. All things considered it is probably better to come here for a drink or to play pokies. A nice lounge area done in art deco style and a Grange room for private fine dining are highlights. 3 star is fair and accurate.
